  • wwwwwwwwwwoooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great job! Very brave and you pulled it off with aplomb! Bravo!

  • Very good, just wish the vocals weren't so low in the mix

  • I'm so happy to see this.

  • To see the young group of kids doing this really brings joy to my heart! I was almost convinced all they knew was rap, gaga, and bieber.

  • Awesome job Kids!!!

If you can do Zappa well you can do anything.

I got the shivers all over!

Great to see young people embracing some of the great-icons of American Music.

This is what makes this country proud.

  • GREAT JOB! VERY IMPRESSIVE

  • HOT FRONTGIRLS.....ALWAYS WIN

  • We all freak out because this music is being performed by such young kids. But it might only be possible BECAUSE they are so young. They don't know what to be afraid of yet. I'm a musician in my 40s and the idea of playing Zappa music scares the hell out of me...so I never try it.

  • Holly hanna!!

  • not an easy song to do .courageous

  • Why don t you write it's a cover?

  • @TheKonstantinLevin Look at them, does it really need to be said???

  • @drumforlife720 no but in the small window i can t see them...

  • a shame the camera's mic compressed the shit out of this. ZOOM H1 recorders are like $100

  • FUCKIN great !

  • these kids kicked ass!!!!!! awesome job on a REALLY tough song

  • The drummer holy fuck...what a job he did.

  • These kids frickin' kick ASS!

  • Perfect: The voice of the lady corresponds with her legs. Violin: the same too!

  • Great stuff....Nice to know the kids are playing Franks stuff...Keep it up....Johnny from Manchester...UK

  • WELL DONE !!!!

  • CoFranktulations!!!

  • Zappa was a truely awesome musician and compser. and he always had the bestbacking him up. Dweezel carries on the legacy in great fashion. Zappa is top on my list!!

  • I think she just said the n word.frank would be proud

  • perfect

  • i love zappa.....you guys did a great job

  • great job

  • really good job shame the sound is so rough

  • bravo les djeunes!!!

  • fuckin good for them!!!

    there is hope!

  • brought tears of joy to my eyes, very good, the song was good

  • Kids singing about rape. Nice.

  • Not bad - but, sorry, no match to FZ ...

  • Frank would be proud

  • These kids suck. Not matter how hard I'd try I could never learn a FZ tune. So jealous..... Rockin' it hard!

  • F.Z. was a perfektionist in music and arrengment, sorry this not bad, but millions miles away from Zappa. It´s possibly good for a F.Z. Party with a few beers.Nothing else.

  • The blonde is awful! Lots of errors! Rest of the band is good, specially the violin-chick.

  • @mmowoa Rather jam with the blonde then you.

  • This is just wow...

  • Holy Crap, that was pretty amazing!

  • Moraisito ametista - the best

  • I really fucking hate these kids, totally jealous....excellent cover, the hair on my arms is still standing on end

  • it takes balls to try this .....bravo, brava

  • Boy I just found an ounce of faith for the future-as an official FZ official I commend this performance-VERY impressive...Frank would definitely dig it.

  • nice job ....what a tempo though---super fast!

  • Roque!

I wish I went to class like this.

  • Holy Moly Yes , lets try to cover Zombie Woof , that shouldn`t require too much skill.

Great job and 10 points for a tribute to a great musician

  • Wait what they did a GOOD job?!! What a nice surprise!

  • the violinist should join steve vai's band!!

  • That was freakin sweet.

  • geart geart to see these kids chose to do something very diff...

  • I'm in love with that violinist... good god she's shredding...

  • Stunning cover of a great song.

I think IronbadgerBX says it all....

....there's really nothing further I could possibly add.

  • YES!!!

  • These kids are truly amazing. An excellent musical selection for an amazing group of incredibly talented youngsters. I am just blown away! I must wonder who is was that chose Zappa to be their cover? One would be quick to think that a parent is a Zappa fan, but I think it would be even cooler if the kids chose it themselves. It doesn't seem like a far fetched idea because kids with this caliber of talent obviously don't listen to complete crap! lol

  • Blown away. Tight performance.

  • excellent!!

  • That violinist chick kicked some serious ass there.

  • the violinist is using a wah pedal ..quite unique.

  • You really did it great kids! Congratulations!!!

  • wonderfull!!!

  • This is my favourite song. Well played!!! But female vocals kind of takes the edge off it (as it is about raping women and with a woman singing you just can't take it seriously), though I suppose teenagers might find that "risque" or something :P

  • holy crap, that was amazing. i was like "oh it's a cover" then right when you guys started the intro, i knew my mind was going to be blown away.

  • Damn! That was freaking sweet, I wish my school would have this kind of stuff. You guys are really awesome, great singing, great playing, I can't believe how good it is. That was really cool.

  • I just listen to this stuff while I am working on the CP. and I thought it WAS Zappa's band !!!!

  • I love you guys - keep playing and learning and there is hope for the world

  • NICELY done

  • whats the violinists name? did she play on Vais all about eve DVD recently??

  • there is hope for the future...just wish the kids in my dump of a school were as talented

  • hope for the future??? when they start raiding PaulGreen School for rock talent ,it shows you our talent pool is veeeery low!

  • heheh talent pool

  • the bohemian days of the 60`s and 70`s is over .Gone are the days you could spend your adolescence learning an instrument, while living in your friends` mom`s basement! Now evryone is so busy tryin to earn a living you rarely see a piano or guitar in the home ,where it used to be the norm.

  • seems sad that music has become less and less of an element in peoples lives wich i feel is really tragic. My dads a guitar teacher so ive kinda grown up with music and guitars around the house

  • Sorry,I had you beat,I had the biggest schmucks in my high school. We used to call it Connetquot "HIGH"

  • Great cover, well done

  • she is a''great'' singer !!!!!!!!!

  • Not bad, actually just F'ing Bad Ass! looks like to me these kids were in elementary school when FZ passed away. thankfully, there is hope for the future. i was starting to seriously doubt it till now!!!!!

  • Cool! Tough song well done...

  • So great to see the youth of today study REAL music. Awesome post! Thank you!

  • Lots of errors, but it's a nice try. Anyway, they're just kids.

  • so awesome to see today's youth rocking out and playing Frank's music.....Bravo!!!!

  • wow, that girl can really rock on the violin.

  • GREAT JOB

  • Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Outstanding!!! Speachless!!

    THE UMRK needs you !!

  • wow trocadero.. Thats a very good sodadrink where i come from..

  • Kids playing. Frank? Rock on!!! Kicka**. Which one of you turned the rest on to Frank? Zombie Woof? I bet nobody at PGSR knew what hit 'em. Love it! Great post. I put it on y favorites. I'll send it to my old FZ friends and fans. Kicka**!

Do it to 'em up on th roof! I'm laughing it's so good. Hell yes.

  • holly shPaul Green School of Rock it far out you kids kick ass great

  • It's a shame the audio isn't better, because the performance is really good. Too bad Frank can't be here to see it, I think he'd be smiling. Heck, maybe he is anyway!

  • Really refreshing, considering the pop-music output of today. There is hope...

  • oh hell yeah, that pop crap still around?

  • i thought that was a boss version good job by all the band!!!!

  • Good job

  • Really allrighty i was a zombie and you were my lady......REALLY AWSOME YOUGUYS REALLY AWSOME!!! YOU SHOULD BE PROUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111

  • was getting ready to diss it but ended up enjoying it. a good effort, and the singers legs were nice to.

  • ... and no doubt both are the same length but you wouldn't KNOW it cuz she's singing 'bout da ZOMBIE WOOF!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Yes it done been brangeth with brungular bringings.

    Black napkins, anyone?

  • Violinist got a scholarship to Berklee? Wish it were Berkeley... we could compare wahs (wah wah...) Yes, the poodle bites, but this band doesn't. Perhaps more significantly

    THE POODLE CHEWS IT!!!

    : p

If that violinist were smart, she'd study hard, be disciplined, see if she could make it in classical, if that's her desire, and if not, or otherwise, get a rock and roll band together with a great bunch of musicians! hey, LOOKS + TALENT = GOLD! Worth a shot, better than most of what's out there!

  • Those girls are hot as hell.

  • awesome!

  • ok, other than OVERPOWERING the lyrics with musical noise, which is what Zappa about, might not be bad if I could hear then above it.

  • wow! well done indeed! I love hearing competent zappa covers!

  • when i realized this was a cover i thought, "these kids better fucking bring it"

    i consider it brought

  • ballsy!

  • holy shit...thats the greatest violin solo I've ever heard. Really great

  • You want to listen to Jean-Luc-Ponty if you think this is good!.

  • real good cover, except that you can't really hear the guy's vocals

I don't know if they're ugly enough to play Zappa tho...

  • Cazzo! bravi ragazzi...e ragazze...

  • 3:34 is dirty

violin solo is unreal, should play some mahavishnu!

  • Women playing Zappa. Great. Nice job I like it.

  • doesnt take much to make that "dead:" beat sound good lemme tell ya.

  • when you wear denim skirts and jam FZ,well...impressive How old are they?

  • Nice job. The Princeton School of Rock just performed this at our Best of Season this past Saturday. I had never heard it before but I really liked the song.

  • what balls to try and pull this off

    wow

  • yes!

  • nice looking ladies, nice sounding cover.

  • Hot stuff, would have been great fun to be there. You should play in Sydney and write an email beforehand :-)

  • blonde,miniskirt,screaming Zappa....works for me.

  • there is nothing sexier than a woman playing frank zappa music. girls, i love you!

  • covering a Zappa tune deserves respect and they've earned mine well done

  • Yay! Violin girl! WOOT!!!!!1

  • The violin solo is sweet.

  • Not a bad effort, although it needs to be tighter and sound better. Sometimes it just sounds like noise.

  • It sounded better if you were there. Video cameras don't pick up the full sound. Sometimes it comes out a little "mushy." I think that they were GREAT!

  • They are brave to tackle a Zappa tune,

not too bad, great violin, cute girls!

  • Comment removed

  • needs to be tighter

  • that is heavy! well done! thanks! whew! :)

  • Well done, well done indeed!

  • Excellent! Wow!! What would frank say?

  • He's too busy throwing up in his grave.

  • Nobody covers zappa!

  • Well, not well, anyway.

  • Um you know that the singer is like 15.

  • awesome, the vocalist is beautiful, if zappa listen it must be happy

  • Holy crap! That violin solo was incredible! I had no idea that that was a violin!

  • the school of rock doesn't do just Zappa. They do everything from Funk & Reggae to Led Zeppelin. If u look around u can find videos of them doing tons of other stuff.

  • Fantastic

  • WoW!

  • This makes me want to pick up my guitar. Nice work guys.

Plus the singer looks hot :P

  • Comment removed

  • as a huge frank fan I must say that was excellent. very well done!!

  • You kids are fantastic. I'm a 51 year old Zappa fan for 39 years. Bravo. Magnificent. Wish I could give you all a hug.

  • Ditto!

  • Frank would love this himself. Very Impressive, I wonder if they do Zappa only? That`s not easy!!

  • Awesome performance. I'm not a musician, but I think that music like Frank Zappa's must be hard to play and you guys did a great job with Zombie Woof. The chick with the electric violin kicks ass. Five stars!!

  • awesome job!!

  • Zappaaaaaaa WTG well done tight band.

  • allez les jeunes !!!

    zappa's zic for eternity

  • this was right on...I absolutely love it

  • Now this was good! Finally

  • wish sound was better, but the violist seemed effortless

  • Excellent.I would rather have given you guys my 42 dollars than Dweezil the other night.I walked out in the middle. You guys have better stage presence than those guys and you certainly look and sound like you were haveing more fun.The Central Scrutinizer is very impressed.

  • Guys, that was awesome!! Really impressive cover.

  • first off,who has the balls to even play this! these kids rok seriuose sht!god bless 'em!!!

  • THAT was VERY impressive. Ive been listening to zappa for years now and enjoy playing it as well. IF only I could find a group of people with that much skill that would like to play zappa. Right now Im pretty much on my own.

  • Although the sounds quality of the playback is a little shitty, very very awsome attempt at Zombie Woof

  • Outsanding effort right thar! Cool. :-)

  • Wow, they pulled it off. The violin solo was incredible. They almost makes it look like its easy to play, wich is NOT !

  • at about 230 it starts sounding really good

  • It's very amusing and quite impressive that these kids worked this song up and played it live -- lotta moxie and virtuosity going on, plus a tribute to Zappa, whose memory deserves it - nice!

  • Who is that Violinist?! Unmazing! I think they pulled this off. Not an easy piece, these guys deserve alot of credit for the cohesion they displayed.

  • yea but um, makes me wonder , would such young musicians even be getting together with that kind of musicianship and dramatic interplay without Zappa's contributions to the world. not even, this is good to see even if they dont do "zomby woof" justice I think it is cool to see Frank's talent shine through everything he touches. disposable bands that were on top 40 will come and go while zappa's legacy will still be fresh .

  • Yeah, that's true.

There should be a Zappa's school of music. Or better yet a scholarship for young musicians like the one on this video.

    Music is the best.

  • I am very, very impressed. These young folks KILL it.

  • very ambitious undertaking. It's nice to see young people challenge themselves. I think they did a great job and captured the complex melody and rapid changes inherent in the piece. Kudos and bravo thanks for posting --zappa philly 78 tower theater. Here am is the zombie wolf

  • Good effort, but I think they may have bitten off more than they could Zombie Woof.

  • Good point

  • This is actually surprisingly well done.

  • loved this ! great version played with passion. two beautiful girls and the best music created. gonna watch it again now.

  • The kid's are alright, the music is in good hands.

  • man they nailed it. about 4:35 after "don't mess..." wow and the solos leading up to it hot dog! thanks for posting

  • The girl playing violin is possibly one of God's greatest creations!
