which is maybe why the lady anna anderson that later claimed to be Anastasia could have very well been her. Certain people may have denied regonizing her out of shame or political scandal. Anna's mental instability would be a normal reaction to an entire life taken away and her own family murdered.

the reason the disney movie said Anastasia because they had only just found out that marie did'nt survive and it was Anastasia and Alexie that lenin burt because he did'nt have room since they were digging for 36 hours!!!

And the producers were going to call it marie but then they discovered it was Anastasia.

There were a number of imposters, particularly of Alexei and Anastasia (Alexei for obvious reasons, being Nicholas II's heir, I don't know why so many pretended to be Anastasia), but there was also at least one claiming to be Olga. Eventually, most of the family was found, but 2 were missing.

Some time after that, what little was left of the other 2 bodies was found, and eventually the identities were all confirmed, and it is now known that it was Marie who was the missing sister all along.

its because, years after there death a woman trying to kill herself in a river had a striking resebalence to Anistasia, she impersinated anistasia but blood tests proved it wasint her. a hollywood director liked the idea of this story and changed it to what you see today..it was origanly a play then a movie and now the cartoon. which by the way is not disney.
