I miss playing this game online... it was one of the greatest coop games of all time if it's not the best one. The missions changed depending on how many people were playing with you... My tag there was Vadia, and when I became a T4 it was one of the most satisfying thing I ever achieved in a videogame. I wish sony bend could release another one for PS3

I used to be a boss at this game! The C8 Rifle, M-16K, and the MGL are freaken awesome weapons on this game. Nothing beat doing the online play with a really good team.

The online community was great on this game.Everyone kinda knew each other and it had all the makings of a drama. All the great players like jar jar, Cold Finger, Thuban, Grimace. Those unique personalities like Agent Vlad, Govanator. Then the notorious liars and cheaters like Silent Sniper, Below Me, d00dle, Colt 45. There'll never be another game like that again.

@SirSmokeify I kind of liked the M16-K myself but yeah the C8 rifle had god lock on capability along with the Jericho. There were preferred weapons for accomplishing some missions, but on some of the stealth ones where I didn't obtain the air pistol, the stun jack really came in handy.

@acemace3618 the creators of this game made it impossible to get everything in solo play mode where some portions (team objectives) had to be completed online. Since then, the servers were taken down f-ing a lot of people over. They should have made it possible to do all team objectives off line in solo mode and change the programming accordingly in single player mode. They need to re-release an alternate version of Omega Strain making team objectives possible in solo mode.

@acemace3618 the only missions that can't be done outside of team mode online are saving the factory workers (Belarus 1), stopping the tank (Belarus 2), and stopping the missle (Ukraine). It is possible to save all factory workers but the game won't give you credit for it which sucks. The rest you can get with the jump glitch. Still a fun game and I really liked playing online with a radio headset. You had people that knew what they were doing and par times in team mode were quite obtainable.

@Arcadia117 LOL, be forwarned you won't be able to complete the game 100% now that the servers are apparently down permanently from the looks of it). Some team objectives can still be completed off line and some of the harder objectives you don't want to waste your time with. Don't blow a lot of money on a used/new copy of the game knowing what you know now.

At the equipment screen, select the FAMAS as your back weapon and choose the other equipment as desired. Press Square to start the mission. When you get out of the dark tunnel, turn to the left. Reach the stairs on the left side. At the bottom of the stairs, select your FAMAS. Go up the stairs to use the weapon box. You will see that the box is empty. Put your FAMAS into the box and go back. Then, return to the box and get your new weapon. That new weapon can be a SG 8, MGL, ACR, M4 or null

@cjaykiller road rash for ps1.....some of the best fmv's for a game back then......the grunge/rock soundtrack was amazing......i would always pick bose jefferson and try and get the diablo viper(gold and black bike)......level 5 on that game was challenging but real fun

I loved those "Siphon Filter" games. I remember when they came out about the same time as the "Metal Gear Solid" games. Everybody thought MGS was the greatest thing ever, but I thought it sucked balls compared to the "Siphon Filter" series.

You know what I miss about this game? I miss people yelling at me just because I was a child! I can't believe I was going to have very great memories in this game! This game had a lot of teamwork in online gameplay. This and Socom 2 are my favorite Playstation 2 games and I hope that Socom 2 online won't shut down. I hope Syphon Filter Omega Strain infrastructure won't be shut down forever. This is a beautiful game. I can still feel some of the memories when I listen to the lobby music offline.

Ok, I'm finally playing this game, but I have a few questions.

1.) Exactly how do you unlock the optional missions in this game?

2.) Does beating the par-time on missions do anything? Because I beat the first mission at 32 minutes and the par-time is 11 minutes and that seems impossible.

Beating par-time on the missions unlocks the bonus levels.

You prbly won't beat the par-time straight away until you work out the quickest way to complete the levels and have unlocked better weapons.

La carne se puede conseguir si te das prisa, o sea, si vas corriendo directamente a por ella, pasando la valla, todo recto, y en el tren parado, en la nave de la izquierda.
