  • Why is this so slow? Shouldn't redpower make these things run faster?!

  • My redpower computer runs at 2 Hz :). I'll probably make a video about it soon

  • We NEED a mod to change the tick step size. 60 ticks per second would be enough. 0.25 Hz to 1.5 Hz would be a huge leap in redstone computing.

  • Can you tell me how to use singleplayer commands with this mod?

Because when i youse it it doesn´t copy the redpower stuff.

  • I'm currently in the process of building a working 16-bit computer in minecraft with redpower. It will be based on the MARIE architecture (a simple type of virtual computer we used at uni for learning assembly). So far, I have a fully working 8-bit ALU, with arithmetic (add, subtract via two's complement) and logic (AND, OR, XOR, NOT) functions. Next step is the control unit to interpret the instructions, then the memory (256 bytes total, for instructions and data).

  • ....Or get computercraft :P

  • play Minecraft in Minecraft!

  • I heard you like computers.

  • That's assuming you know everything you need to know though.

  • @Sande; if you're asking how long it would take to make something like this, I'd say about about 2-3 weeks of putting in about 4 hours of work on it a day. You could make something similar with less commands for the ALU in about 4-7 days

  • @sande3100 Don't worry about grammer on "the inter-connected tubes of magical glowing things" ( the internet ) :P.. And to the creator of this, great job!

  • This processor is.. 0,0000000000000001 GHz

But it is cool! How time you need to make this?

    /Sorry, for bad english, but i'm bulgarian!/

  • someone needs to make a graphing calulator out of this.

  • I was wondering when I'd see someone use redpower to make a compressed version of the usually mind boggling massive circuits made with vanilla redstone.

  • I know this is amazing, but not for the life of me could I explain why.... maybe that is the reason? *scratches head*

  • So... this is what a CPU looks like?

  • @hackerpluskevin not really

  • Um what do you do if a greifer comes up and blows up the programer and screen and the progressroporter

  • @Wower144 This computer could not operate on a MP server without causing significant amounts of lag. The greifer would not have the patience. that and chances are this was done on single player.

  • wow i find it hard to believe of the posibilities of redpower, a game mod....

..... and a good brain to use it...

  • But .. if you know which blocks shuold be enlighten from BEFORE .. where du you need a CPU ?! or "computer" ? Get a HDD with Graphical Output ...

  • my gosh o.o, i cant wait to see what else can do redpower, if i could make something like these X_x

  • But.... can it play Crysis?

  • @Phas36645 Please stop such stupid commentaries!

  • So... you built all of that, and yet you can't figure out how to use a microphone?

    Haha.

    Great Job!

  • it's kind of a laptop since redpower makes things more compact and i guess faster :)

  • Also, will it run JVM? Minecraft on minecraft... Mineception! ^_^

  • Debugging your programs must be a bitch...

Also, it would help to speed up the CPU clock

  • Debugging your programs must be a bitch...

  • Debugging must be a bitch...

  • Alot of people say I am good with redstone. I am pretty sure I could only do this with alot of help. MIND = BLOWN This is too amazing.... You sir, are a genius!

  • So it's a computer in a computer

  • It's....incredible....NICE WORK!!!!!

  • TEKKEN

  • Now if there was a plugin that had gui rom programming and "ram chips" with large amounts of memory, then all we have to do is build CPU, and input/output things, and program the ROM through a gui!

  • no download?

  • No words to describe fuckin' awesomeness.

  • :O My mind was just blown.....

  • :0 its enormus if that is a word

  • Impressive.

  • If this took 3 weeks with RedPower as it is now, I don't think it would be good for humanity to see what everyone can make in 3 weeks with Control.

  • I ARE CUNFUSED....I ARE HAPY

  • @Steelmeen about 3 weeks

  • wtf is this :D

  • Redpower and little blocks, fuck that would be awesome!

  • @MegaGamerish It would be, but little blocks doesn't work with tile entities, and RedPower is tile entities to the extreme.

  • brilliant stuff.... makes me wanna play snake on a nokia 5110 :D

  • WOW

  • "Will it be you?"

    No chance mate!

  • Builds mind-bendingly complex redstone computer

    10 seconds in: "...breif tour..."

  • 8 bit? 16 bit? whats next

  • Did you ever need to rebuild a lot due to accidentally removing logic gates between covers?

  • Whats the song?

And are you going to put the world up for download.

  • Very nice! Great to see how clean the logic looks using RedPower 2, and how densely it packs.

  • Government called...they want their superbrain back.

  • I made my tree farm yesterday ..i was tought im so fuc.. smart ...but...

Anyway... Where did u get your brain?

  • OMFG THIS IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!

in year 2030 we will play minecraft on computers in minecraft!!

  • Fibonacci goes 1,1,2,3,5.. not 0,1,2,3,5

  • needs more ram XD, brilliant comp man out of intrest how long did it take?>

  • I'm going to have to make a request for music. :P

This video is pretty interesting for me, because I've only just learned how the functionality of Assembly low level machine code is so this pretty much helps a lot.

  • Holly Eloraam! That's most awesome CPU's in MC that i've seen!

  • wow i can barely get regular redstone to work o_O

  • Amazing! Very well done! :D

  • What happens when computers are so big they no longer fit inside the render distance? Do they fail to function?

  • @Gooberpatrol66 Yes. The chunks containing the parts are unloaded, so it's like the computer section is completely missing afaik.

  • So... the other day I made a basic 4 bit alu that added and subtracted....

  • Percentage of understandment - 0%.

  • My brain hurts.

  • Is there a 4 Bit version of Java ^^

  • That. Is. Amazing.

I wrote RedPower, and I approve this message.

  • @Eloraam Will you (in the foreseeable future) be adding things such as RGB lasers, or multi-cell blocks which will allow people to make proper screens, with all the colours and minute pixels?

  • @Eloraam for the next redpower release could you add a random output generator that randomly picks from one of three outputs?

  • So...you could program a Tetris game on this machine?

  • You deserve more views.

  • now we need to work on the refresh rate

  • Hi there, really huge work!

Are you using TMI for infinite stack and all items?

  • @Babbao321 Of course he is lol.Why would anyone bother gathering materials for this kind of stuff....

  • @WaKeVajZet Well the problem is TMI doesn't work atm on Redpower2, it doesn't show all the blocks/items in Redpower2 :/ I was wondering how Gikosan did all the work in the vid..

  • @Babbao321 It works, theres a fix,but its third party one (not uploaded or coded by Eloraam),i think you can find the link in her FAQ.Not so sure about it working in 1.0.0 version of RP (PR4 one),but for PR3 there is one for sure.

  • @WaKeVajZet Thanks dude, I've found a patch done by Rakosmanjr for 1.0.0, it works fine (finally!).

  • @Babbao321 You could use Single Player Commands, which would also enable you to reset the time to day so you wouldn't have to fumble around in the dark.

  • @BigusGeekus TMI does it too and its a bit more pratical than single player commands, however no problem, someone did a patch to use all items in rp2 with tmi :)

  • very very nice job.

from where did you gain the knowledge to built this?

the only thing i can build is just a calculator or RAM.

btw. redpower is a great mod. i've been using it for like 2 months now.
