people he caught this fish in castaic lake most likely,and so what if trout are being stocked in to the lake to help the bass population grow, its no different than the Texas Parks and Wildlife dumping baby bass that have been spawned from 14 lb+ bass. Florida does not do any of these things and though they have big bass they have NOWHERE near the numbers or size that Texas or California has. Seems that the latter two states actually care about their largemouth bass.

people ragging on this guy for catching "fake" bass obviously arent fisherman. Its no different than whitetail deer being managed to grow giant bodies and giant antlers by eating food that is planted in food plots or in feeders. What makes this guy any different? these bass are not natural, they are artificially grown. This guy should not be proud of the fish he is catching considering that they are not "real" fish. It's kind of like having a bass in an aquarium, feeding it an enormous amount of food, and then waiting till it has reached a weight of 20lbs.

Here in California, we have an aggressive trout stocking program in the winter months, therefore when bass usally go dormant in winter months in states like texas and Florida, in California they continue to eat. This allows Bass (Florida Strain Bass) to grow to huge sizes in only 5-10 years. If you are reading this and are from outside of California, I have to say, it is trully amazing of how many fish we have in the 10-18 pound category.

so the fish are overfed by stocking programs...not the natural ecosystem therefore making them in fact "artificially grown". Im not saying that it wouldnt be fun and enjoyable to catch bass of this size, im just saying that real fisherman that fish on real lakes could never dream of catching fake fish like that.

@sgtSNIPESHOWsgt it isnt liek californians force feed the bass trout and its not like they stock the trout only for the bass its the same case with any lake for example another giant bass lake say lake el salto they dont stock trout there theres an abundance of tilapia and panfish like that if theyre not forcing food into the bass' mouth its not atifically growing bass just making food available for the fish to eat and anyone who thinks otherwise is obviously not very educated in the program's

well first of, just because you dont see them used, that does not mean they are not being used. Also the HBC tournament where 50 % of the feild were huddlestone guys (though only there were only a few guys who actually caught fish on hudds).
