I went through a period about 15 yrs ago where I had chalazions fairly often, went to the opthamologist all the time. They came out with Restasis and I use that now, for the dry eye syndrome, and I no longer get these. They are extremely painful. I later found out I have lupus and that was likely the cause of everything with my eyes.

@mohdnizamjasni the doctor gave me some sort of crem it is called IDRACEMI 'UGUENTO OFTALMICO' Tube 5 g.

Mine wasent thaat big,was somewhat the size of a small rice but now after using this cream it it gone.

This is a case when all us should not ignore and let the stye or call it as u want to get bigger because when it is very big only operation can make it.Wish u the best!

@ginaven 1 Sort of. But, styes are caused by staph. Styes are painful and itchy the entire time. While, chalazions are painful at first then, just become a little itchy as the skin stretches.

i got a stye in july due to sleep deprivation..but i didnt take it seriously and didnt get enough sleep..so it went on and suddenly after 3 months when i had to spend 3 sleepless nights on a big assignement,it became more hard and turned into a chalazion..one in the upper and another in the lower lid..had it 'removed' last week..but now the doc says dat the thickening of the lower lid might remain forever..someone PLEASE tell me whether the scars remain forever..wil sleep better knowing it..

I had one before on my upper lid. It was huge like the one in this vid. I had a hard little lump for about a year, and it disappeared. Now it seems as if I have never had one. Your 'scars' should fade gradually. Hope that helps. :)
