  • title like that now.. people would start protesting before they even listen to the song

  • @MrDissidiaFan ... Why not? Because you don't like it? A word is a metaphysical thing... It doesn't do jack shit.

  • My woman is the nigger of the world, I make her do everything.

  • INSTANT KARMA was better.

  • I like how the "where are the women?/elect more women" ad plays before this song...

  • yeah it was used to give impact to what he meant

  • you were a great MAN John

  • Comment removed

  • He is not using it for shock value and is not a racist his wife Yoko Ono was quoted saying it in 1969 three years later John Lennon made this song. its a metaphor. look it up stupid people

  • yes, it's just john! I love a song

  • farck some people have no insight

  • Lennon sucked and was a dead beat dad

  • woman is the nigger of the world!

  • There are about ten times as many people posting who think they're fucking geniuses for grasping the completely obvious true meaning of this song, as there are people who are most likely trolling, pretending to think the song is racist.

  • I love this song, and I love that John Lennon stood up for women. What an incredibly beautiful person Lennon was!

  • Yeah, As John exclaims, we are the givers of life and we nurture our offspring and we are the fearless protector. We are niggers because we accept so much, and we ask for so little in return. We are Mothers!!! How beautiful is that???

  • hey everyone,

    stop being terrible

    thanks

  • It's a shame that even younger women act like sleeves in this days believing they're "modern", they just acts live slaves of their boyfriends because think that's how they can prove their "love is real", and is sad that this was learnt by their own mothers, friends and TV.

Woman in these days don't have changed their tasks and activities, just have to do more things than when they were only housewives, now are capitalism and house slaves 24 hrs per day.

  • He used to pimp slap the shit out that bitch Cynthia cuhz. Just listen to "Getting Better" from the Sgt. Pepper album son.

  • @ggc74 I knew about that, even if it was for real, he knows for 1st source that women are the slaves of the slaves...

  • Ta utwór także przywołuje wspomnienia.

  • This aaa is a why he was sahot as my opinion aaaaaaaaa

  • @SuperVarulven Hahaha it actually had nothing whatsoever to do with it you ignorant buffoon.

  • This song SHOULD be credited equally to Yoko Ono, by all acounts, as SHE inspired it and contributed the title and the main lines/themes. A very powerful song, which upsets people...as it SHOULD! Think about it.

  • Man is master of the world

  • WAIT. i got the shaved fish album on vinyl today for christmas. what the fuck am i doing on youtube?!??!

  • @blaine1764 Congrats...hipster...

  • "She's the slave of the slave"~~~

  • Nigger is the woman of the world

    Oh wait...

  • Deep lyrics... i really like them... reading comments I realise most people dont understand the meaning of the song... just take a moment to listen and think about it

    great song!

  • Sorry to start a flame war, but John Lennon actually was a racist. If you read his poetry book "In his own write", especially the poem "A Spaniard in the works", he made fun of "spics", "niggers" and Jews. And he also beat his own girlfriends.

  • @ThinkinStinking you must be in your 20s~(young dumb, and full of c*m)

  • @ThinkinStinking He wasn't. And you do know that In His Own Write was a collection of stories he had written as a teenager, and a young adult? His views on life were very different back then. But still, he was never a racist.

  • 0bama is the nigger of the USA

  • LOOOOL OMG

  • WOMAN IS THE NIGGER OF THE WORLDDDDDDDD

  • lol rock on lennon!!

  • @1stongrooved because its a word used against them and their community, so should have a right to use it when and where. Historically, thats is our word. White people have no right to say it because they historically used that word to oppress and humiliate. They used that word when beating, hanging and segregating black people. It has emotional baggage

I'm not gonna say Lennon is a racist, but this song doesn't make sense. If women are the niggers of the word, what does that make black women?

  • @ladylusciouz Oh I forgot, only white women count as 'women'! Black are another type! What are we 'nigger's nigger'?

And I'm black and I usually avoid using this word, I'm just using it for this argument.

John Lennon seemed to have his heart in the right place, but to many people (like the ones on this youtube page) seem to think it gives them a free pass to act racist. You wouldn't say 'nigga'! in the real world! Don't use the word, you are not John Lennon, I will be offended!

  • @ladylusciouz

EEEE I love these kind of discussions. :) You should look up history on all women. It wasn't just one race, but all races of women that were treated like shit by the "white" man...including "white" women... White women were nothing more than trophies and baby machines to their men for ages, and they were abused and most had no voice in the world. SEX SLAVES. Asians were also used, and bought, and made into slaves, too. Latin Americans, too.

  • @GothicVampireization Umm he is using a word specific to black folk, so what does that make black women? Double nigger? Or (my favourite) Nigger Squared?

  • hes telling everyone that women are often treated as minorities.

same as the blacks back then. he is a peace advocator.

he is telling us in a way we can al understand. I, of course, do

  • This is quite a stupid argument. Who really has proof that John Lennon is a racist? He's using the word for shock value, to get a rise out of people, so they will realize the reality of this song. I only see proof in everything John Lennon does and stands for that he is definitely NOT a racist.

  • @1stongrooved Cracker, I'm gon' kill you.

  • @FrancisGumb i agree with him. black people suck.

  • @FrancisGumb

    Violence solves nothing.

  • @FrancisGumb

if hes a cracker, then your a nigger.

  • It should have been "Woman is the African American of the world"

  • @DontClickOnMyIcon do you know when this song came out? I'm not sure that would of made sense back then

  • @MetalMania33 It came out in 1972. It really did made sense to us back then. Niggers in this song does not refer to African Americans or any black person. It refers to the fight for women's equal rights. John explained it quite well on the Dick Cavett show.

  • @Ms1up1down thanks for the comment although I was not asking you :) and hmmm ok thanks

  • @MetalMania33 I am truly sorry!

  • @Ms1up1down hahaha you don't have to apologise :)

  • It's just a stupid song. He had lost his gift by this point. And tried to compensate with lyrics like this.

  • @hiddenfire65 he was trying to do protest song, he was shite at them, hes not bob dylan and it was like 15 years after protest song were popular. self indulgent.

  • Provocative title, but if you listen to the lyrics it starts to make sense.

  • love <3

  • anyone that finds this racist is an idiot.

  • @Fuzzywuzzybunnies

I know it's not racist, but you DON'T use the N-word, PERIOD!

  • Comment removed

  • Happy birthday john . You will be missed

  • but women idiot

  • ANYBODY THAT DOESNT UNDERSTAND THIS IS iGNORanT~(LOOK UP ignorant~and see the real meaning)

  • @lloorr11 10 People ARE Ignorant!

  • ANYBODY THAT DOESNT UNDERSTAND THIS IS iGNORanT~

  • If you take offense to this then that means you think of yourself as a nigger. If you dont then you are just a person no matter what color you are, Peace and Love.

  • The only reason I clicked this was the title.

    lol

  • Here is some common sense for everyone: Don't take offense until you know what you're taking offense to.

Preconceived notions cause so much fuckin' trouble in the world and people still haven't learned from it.

USE YOUR BRAINS - THEY'RE THERE FOR A REASON.

  • I love my 20 years woman .

  • "If you define niggers as someone whose life style is defined by others, whose opportunities are defines by others, whose rule in society is defined by others, then good news! - you dont have to be black to be a nigger in this society. Most of the people in America are niggers."

  • this can be interpreted in one of 2 ways

  • In the Dick Cavett show, Lennon explained by quoting someone else:

"If you define niggers as someone who's lifestyle is defined by others, who's opportunity's are defined by others, who's role in society is defined by others. Then good news: you don't have to be black to be a nigger in this society. Most of the people in America are niggers."

I think that speaks for itself ;)

  • @markiejuh wikipedia FTW

  • @shitberger No man! i saw it in the documentary: John Lennon in NYC, Wich by the way, Is totally awesome and should be viewed by all of you ;)

  • 'we make her paint her face and dance'

I think it's so awesome because it always has and most likely always will be relevant in one way or another. Nothing even discriminant just woman choosing to try with her looks, and as a general that's how she will be portrayed to the public .

  • paranormal33 you are a son of a hour

  • In today's world women are mainly enslaved by TV programs and magazines dealing with fashion, gossip, celebrities, dating and so on. It's a sad state of affairs.

  • great production, silly song

  • >implying that niggers had full rights at the time. Nice one Lennon.

  • @fragitza

This isn't about black people, or even males: it's about the female in general. Black, white, yellow, red ,brown, purple, green, blue... It's about how women are seen as inferior to men in most cultures and most religions. Even today.

'We make her paint her face and dance'

  • lol @ people who think John Lennon is racist.

  • @Fishdogpigsquirrel Not many people know that Lennon was the blackest motherfucker before he met that jap kook. He beat his women all the time and was a true OG

  • @Manusturbo John didn't beat his women.

  • Comment removed

  • @xXOneHotLennonXx. He should have, Yoko.

  • @MySeltaeb pardon?

  • THESE NIGGERZ BE TRIPPIN.

  • Damn, I get goosebumps at the end of the song when he starts chanting "We make her paint her face and dance!". The repetition and the dope beat real drives the point of the song home.

  • maybe in usa, womens have the same oportunities, but in the rest of the world, they haven't. we all live in misoginist society

  • A NIGGER IS AS A NIGGER DOES!

  • Comment removed

  • i think that he is talking about now. this time. still women are the nigers of the world

  • the nigger is the nigger of the world..... think about it!!

  • @TheJimmyjimjim99 theyre the dumb lazy loud arrogant ghetto people of the world?

  • @PhilipEWarren no, woman are the slaves of the world. the mistreated, stereotyped people that are just like anyone else.

  • Lennon was clearly not racist as was seen by his love of people and hatred of war. Lennon recognised the hardship that many woman face on a daily basis and equally recognised the horror that many black people face.By using the word "nigger" he was highlighting how lowly the black population are sometimes regarded, but within all communities woman are often neglected, abused, taken for granted. The smack in the face that is felt when he sings the word "nigger" is therefore his desired affect.

  • Funny, when he treated Yoko Ono as a true white man with yellow fever. He love the niggers, he should be best friends with them, I bet he see asian women just as niggers see their ghetto bitchez and hoes.

  • @LadyKrasnyi you aint no lady.

  • @123jsbach

    Correct. I am a guurrrlll :)

  • VERDENA!

  • John Lennon will live on till the end of time

  • I don't care about the deeper meaning behind all of this, it's just a bad idea to use the "N word" is a song, over and over. It's going to create controversy.

  • @gmenrule1024 thanks gmenrule, you're so much smarter than John Lennon.

  • @SuperGameChallenge Okay, I appreciate the sarcasm, but I'm just saying that in a song about women's rights, I don't understand why he would use a racial slur.

  • @gmenrule1024 The word "nigger" carries with it, in our society, a very deep sense of oppression. I can't think of another word that evokes a sense of oppression like it does. This is why John Lennon used it.

  • @keithburgun That makes a lot of sense.

  • @iamthepope Are you stupid or just dumb? If you listened to the lyrics before you commented, you would realize he's pro-woman. And common sense tells you John Lennon was not a male chauvinistic sexist

  • @bledfourdays1 And common sense tells you John Lennon was not a male chauvinistic sexist

    Well....lets not go that far;)

JL had his faults like all of us

  • @bledfourdays1 You will find many amazing things about the person John Lennon, I did.

  • @txemata1

English dude - go to school

  • @mrd2u2u2sucks Yo no escribí en inglés, lo hice en correcto castellano ¿No te das cuenta de que el traductor comete muchos errores? Quizas tu deberías volver a la escuela ¿You can write in spanish? Well I can make it in englis but not is my language.Think about it.

  • @iamthepope Oh yeah? Well, then the human race would die off, because there wouldn't be enough women. Assholes. But killing people because of their skin color, is disgusting. Believe me, both black people and women have had their equal trouble.

  • @Warvancrusade Right. Because the amount of melanin in someone's skin totally affects the brain does it? Yeah right.

  • @plaidcarogemm

you're just mad because it's true amirite filthy black negro man :)

  • @Warvancrusade I'm a tan girl, unfortunately.

  • @Warvancrusade And you're not even explaining how it's true? I'm not a man. I'm a woman thank you very much.

  • my sister stupid boyfriend its rude with her he beat her make her do everything :'( i cant do nothing i am just 13 i dont got dad :( every time i hear this song i cry cuz its soo true :( i need u here back john we need you <3 this is music hope all cruel men on world received what they decerve by inrespecting god most perfect creation WOMAN

  • @oasisbestbandofall My father and mother have always been equaly neglectful and negative towords me. But, unlike you, I fail to see the logic which you use of, by the basis of a few persons wrong doings, condemning the entire human race. Bear the pain of this. And make somethig out of yourself, for no one will make it for you. And bury the prejudices. None of the sexes is the perfect creation you lunatic. The body does not make us who we are, the soul and mind bears the honour for doing that. :/

  • @oasisbestbandofall That is sad, but there are cruel women, and cruel men. The worst the woman can be in a relationship is verbally abusive, angry, a slut, pissed off, and cheating. The worst a man can be is violent, angry, pissed offf, verbally abusive, and very cruel. Both of them are wrong, and I'm sorry about your sister. I don't think WOMAN is god's best creation. The human is. And that includes both sexes, so don't get like that.

  • @oasisbestbandofall she needs to whoop his ass then

  • @oasisbestbandofall

School Dude - stay in school.

  • Thanks for uploading - thanks John!

  • I am currently working on a song strangely enough called the Nigger is the Bitch of the world. Based on their behavior and I mysteriously ran into this song. And Karlito learn to read and write English or start your own youtube for Mexicans, no one here can read your posting.

  • @mrd2u2u2sucks He just translated part of it to spanish, geez...

  • i get offened at the word

Enorme letra, gtran cancion.

  • his point clearly isn't racist, but it still kind of co-opts the dynamics and emotions of racism to promote a different cause, and it kind of subscribes an arbitrary value to them as if to make it possible to say which is "worse". it's just a much more reasonable version of those PETA people who protest with pictures of German concentration camps to try to explain how badly Mr. Tyson treats his chickens

  • people who just "like" the beatles dont understand most of the songs. go do some research and find out what he meant by the title and the lyrics.

    Lennon forever genious!

  • best title ever

  • Bitch of a Bitch!

  • son of a bitch

  • @yehudaLM30Bitch

    YOU'RE AN UNEDUCATED YEHUDA!

  • John Lennon just gave me some truth!

  • Just goes to show how dumbos take everything on face value and never spend a minute to delve into what lies behind this statement by Lennon. It is not racist, quite the opposite and there is a You Tube vid called Woman is the N of the World where Lennon explains it on live TV back in the day. People who want to take it the wrong way obviously feel uncomfortable with Lennon's thought provoking ways, then and now. Much easier to attack Lennon than do anything about the injustices he sang about.

  • Hehe I know this been said before but still, people who say he's a racist, people who says he hates women, you should go to the interview where he explain the song. It's in fact one of the "truest (if that's a word) song I ever heard. It takes guts to say something like this, and you're a fool to think of him as a racist. You need to listen to the words, and understand the meaning behind it. What it comes down to is one of the worlds most true feminist songs. The sexes should be equal, but arent

  • All women he is referring to, but we as women have the power to change and empower the world!

  • Yes, most of us still are. Not Queen Elizabeth though.

  • All women he is referring to, but we as women have the power to change and empower the world!

  • Women are shit on all over the world. To have a man just admit women have it hard is an accomplishment.

    -Thank you John Lennon

  • You morons who are trashing this song, do not have a clue of the meaning of this song.

  • @Ninjistic

    You best be trolling.

  • is this shit suppose to be positive? fuck john lennon and his bullshit.

  • @screwface1011

No, it's not supposed to be positive. Where'd you get that idea? He's saying that women still have to take all kinds of shit, and that's no bullshit.

  • @screwface1011 again,,,fuck john lennon and his bullshit. way not say women are the backward crackas of the world?

  • this is so fucking true, also in the western "civilized" world. "we make her paint her face and dance" is just right on.

  • I don't see why people who don't like lennons music are instantly seen as lil wayne fans, maybe they just don't like it. (and before \anyone says anything I am a lennon fan)

  • gaaay

  • @echoes1234567891 Your fucking gay stop listening to lil wayne and listen to some real music.

  • Remember he's saying the world not just western society, for those who believe women aren't being oppressed today, it's still happening around the world!!

  • @jacquinsavannah oh hell yeah it is, but oppression is everywhere, in all the children the parents didn't want, in all the women who get paid 35 cents an hour, all the men who can't afford to put clothes on, or eat, in all the black men that fall under a stereotype that doesn't fit that particular man, and every race that is wanting to have a better life but can't get their feet off the ground.

  • When you read the title of the song, it really does put you off. I was a bit offended, being black and all. You have to look it up and read the lyrics to understand it. It's a great song. I have no problem with people using the "n" word, unless it's meant to be racist.

  • Thank you for posting this.
