Great idea. Rick Woodbury has my respect and admiration. I am a motorcycle-rider (who blows by people slogging it out in traffic) and I also have a smart car....this is such a great idea...not to mention carpool-lane legal with lane-splitting ability (where applicable) too. Imagine...roll up between two cars in this...and even if they try to beat you off the line to prove a point, they can't! ;)

@jetpack1986 Its not worth it to built it and safety it yourself. It would take a decade probably. Just pay the $108k (which its worth) and have fun. Does 90 mpg, 0-60 in 1 second slower than a veyron, 1/4 mile in 11 seconds, lasts a long time because of stainless steel, high c of g, and can lane split legally - aside from trunk space, its a good deal.

As fast as a motorcycle, as efficient (or more) as a smart car, doesnt rust, extremly safe, can save you minutes a day in time, very original, very intriguing, everyone will want to know what it is and you'll be the talk of the town.

OK first off if your going to sell a car for over 100 grand you should have a website with more then a couple of pages and a few junk YouTube videos. Show me a video of this thing splitting lanes, because your on crack if you think you can pull that off for more then 20 ft. Almost no one will lane share with it and you need a cheaper model

dude this is definetely a late response, but u can get this car Commuter Car - Tango T100 for $10,000 but that only has very very basic equipment like engine body wheel steering wheel seat doors headlight etc... but for 100k u get the full options like better performance and efficiency radio, gps, better headlights already built for you etc...

How the hell can they get the same rollover as a Porsche? That sounds like bullshit to me. Even if they did line the whole bottom of the car with lead... k'mon, the wheelbase is tiny. You can see it sway badly when it's going through the slalom.

If you paid any attention, he explained it. There is 2000lb or batteries very close to the ground, making it's center of gravity very low. It is the center of gravity that ultimately decides the tip-over point. In the cause of this car, it can LEAN 45 DEGREES and NO TIP OVER!

If they sell enough and they get enough money they'll be selling low-end production models that will run about $19K, 0-60 in 7 seconds. Also new breakthroughs in battery technology (nanophosphate cells) will make this car even more powerful.
