The first song is made by my son Aleqatsiaq Peary and called inuuneq - "Life". The rest of the music is experiment in mixing the traditional songs with instrument .. just for fun.
As a kid I lived in Greenland for periods as my dad was stationed there. To this day it still amazes me how the inuits are able to survive in this environment that can be so rough and dangerous - and still be the gentlest and kindest people you will ever meet. They have the utmost respect of nature and they are extremely skilled and hard working. They have to be. You try to survive in -40 degrees celcius and eating only what you can catch with your own hands.
@paulfbest based on your comment, you sound more uneducated and hypocritical.. and unless you've never eaten meat in your life, you're no better. eskoimos only take what they need to survive. where as people in the city cause all sorts of pollution and global warming.. it's people like you that makes the world a rotten place.. ..disgusting filth.
most of them have adopted modern technology now. YOu don't have to live primitive ways anymore unless thats the way you wanna play it. I think flying and aviation will be of great benefit to them. It will help them travel further in shorter time. I personally think its cool that soem of them still have their traditional ways but i also like the fact they have modernized and used technology which shows they are just the same as any other group of human beings
To anyone who was disappointed to the ugly music: I am sorry! I was young and stupid (no, I am old) but I wasn't thinking just experimenting with my new discovery. Sorry. I did promise to make more videos but I am busy with other documentaries for now. When times come I will fixed it so it is just naturally ... Thank you so much for your comments; makes me happy though. hivshu
you so ruined this video with this flippen music , what were you thinking , ?? like id rather hear there song , so so very stupied I can say this as i am from Alaska , but never would i ever put anyone no matter who into what you just did to them ,
I lived and worked in the Yukon,North West Territories,Nrthern British Columbia and Nunavut since 1998.The most beautiful and harshest places on Earth.I know many of Inut people and I have many of'em as friends. They are the toughest and friendliest peple on the planet.GOD BLESS'EM
hej du Hivshu. mkt fina filmer du har lagt upp=) hoppas att du får följa med och jaga säl hära i sverige nån gång=) du får ha det riktigt bra. med vänliga hälsningar från: Jon (Junkön)
i'm really into this kind of video. I love watching the first people go hunting and how they eat their food. I even dream of going to be part of their daily lives someday for a month just to experience the hardship, camaraderie and the way they live their lives out in the wild...
I'll be working on to make the music to be more in background and the talk to be more clear! This was one of my first tries and with this experience it'll be better.
NameTaken1000 thank you for your comments. I am sure that you'll have a chance to get to the places and be with inuit hunters there. I hope to hear from you more.

If you want to experience it without music then come and visit the place! :-)

These videos would have been much better without the music. Music ruins the videos.
