I didn't think this movie was that horrible, the main problem I had with it was the way they ended the movie. They essentially removed half of the series and ended it in a completely different way than in the manga and anime.

I couldn't even finish watching the first movie because the acting sucked so much and it was just plain wierd... oh well.

I personally thought L was the shit and it sucks when he dies.

Light is pretty cool too. I've watched the anime and I'm not to fond of how it ends.

But Death Note is one of the most original story lines that i've heard of.

my gosh these movies are shit. The acting sucked, no one really looked like their character, aside from the dude playing L (kinda), and it does a very poor job of following the story. I don't care if that is the point, in the end it came out as a piece of shit. I hope to gosh they do an American remake and put some serious actors in it.

All anime live action movies suck, so of course this is gonna be bad. The ending in this is stupid and is nothing like the manga or anime, and where's Near, he should be there, Misa shouldn't be there, I didn't see Mikami blah blah blah. Worst movie ever made.
