That was my first thought....ohh the foundation of the house is at risk! You can avoid this by making a Pot in the ground with bricks...this will stop the roots from entering the house!

i think it does. i had some trees at over 2m from the house and they reached the foundation(age 10). did't damage it but we cut them off...
