I really don't see how anyone could take the message literally. Maybe the video should end with a big "We were just kidding"... Of course it's not the most clever video on that topic but it was not meant to be so serious...
Who doesn't support hitlers policy on Jewish people? Ok philip and tracy let me just go ahead and press this button.
Just for the record can I see some hands who aren't convinced of exercising ? Cool your choice let me just press this button here.
Whatever I wouldn't go sacrifice my baby to the mayan gods that control the sun it would distract me from football. Fine . You don't have to join it no pressure. Where is that button?
If we all think the same no one is really thinking.
WTF are they actually serious this is the sickest form of propaganda and the evil twisted people who orchestrate this false climate change garbage should all be held accountable for misleading humanity! just ask the rothchild banking cartel why they publish children's books n false pieces of hollow bile propaganda like this SO THE FUCKERS CAN GET EVEN MORE POWER MORE MONEY and are left alone to consume the worlds resources whilst the 96% are in a coma saying if we buy bulbs we cn save the planet
I think it's funny. I think we should make a commercial where they shoot climatologists in the head and then when the environmentalists complain we can go"What? It's funny. They got shot in the head :-)"
No pressure........we would just like you to die if you don't agree with us. The message is akin to totalitarianism - good work Greenies - you just keep on knocking yourself out!!!
@ascolti : This is "the" Youtube, so you can freely insinuate that you are in charge of research students (what field, do you imply you are an academic supervisor).
It is a big world and people may not fully aware of all sorts of arts, artists and their work. If you were in Europe and specifically in the UK you would be accustomed to different types of comedy, and the works of the great director for this clip.
When I first saw this I was shocked to see a child get blow up then a few seconds later after the shock passed I started to laught .....but it still shocks me they really showed this on tv
@mrtest0007 i understand the message of this clip I just found it funny at first because I was watching it on low qulity so it just looked cheesy. . .
@mrtest0007: Why are you so obsessed with Glenn Beck and Fox News? You're going to have to do better than transparent ad hominem fallacies if you want to defend your brainwashed ideology. Who needs Glenn Beck? Al Gore has been very clear about the push for "global governance."
All you have to do is Google: "Al Gore global governance"
@dan2000eve : Hey Dan, do you know the story about climate change? We pollute the environment and increase the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. The result is to heat up our planet, which leads to the extreme weather patterns we had recently.
The oil and coal industries do not want any regulations that will reduce the pollution (will reduce their profits), so they are paying for a campaign to discredit climate science. We had the same type of dirty campaign with tobacco and smoking.
@ mrtest0007: Who said I watch FoxNews? If there was such undeniable evidence of AGW, you wouldn't need to resort to strawmen and red herrings. And the CRU "scientists" could have simply referenced this alleged proof without having to fudge any data.
What you fail to address is the political agenda behind the global warming propaganda campaign. We are headed towards a global government with a global currency and a global carbon tax. That will tell you everything you need to know about AGW.
@neuralpathic : ""We are headed towards a global government with a global currency and a global carbon tax""
So, you are telling me with a straight face that you HAVE these absurd beliefs and you do NOT watch Fox News? You know, your Glenn Beck is actually on the Fox Network.
Your profile says you are just 19 years old, and you joined just recently. Are you a real person? Or is this just an 'account for comments'?
@mrtest0007: Who decides what the "real science" is? The "scientists" who fudged their data? Or, maybe you can decide for us. Let's be a little more objective here, then. What exactly about "no supporting evidence for man-made global warming" was blown out of proportion? Be more specific, and try not to get sidetracked on irrelevant issues again.
@neuralpathic : "no supporting evidence for man-made global warming"??? If you read the denier websites, watch Fox News, you are entitled to this distorted view.
If you want to learn something, visit the SkepticalScience website. Also watch the Youtube videos by greenman3610.
@ mrtest0007: yes, ive read both the real science AND the propaganda. have you already forgotten about climategate? how convenient. well, let me remind you: fudged data, rigged computer models, deleted records, evidence of global cooling, etc. do you have a pseudo-ironic response for that too? of course the elites, who own big oil, etc., dont plan on following the same rules they enforce on everyone else. dont be so dense.
@neuralpathic : Just because you claim you read the real science does not mean you actually did.
What you call 'climategate' is just an issue blown out of proportion. Similar to the attack on Shirley Sherrod by the attack dog Beirtrand. ACORN had to go down by any means, so those videos where edited to bring them down. The AG of Massachusetts said "he found no evidence of criminal conduct by ACORN employees", but it's now a forgotten story. Do we never learn?
You're either a liar or the victim of a lie, mrtest0007. The "science" behind global warming has been exposed as a sham over and over again. The depopulation agenda of the global elites who will benefit from carbon reduction programs has been revealed. Anyone who honestly investigates the facts for themselves will reach the same conclusion. "Honestly" is the key word here.
@neuralpathic : You are deluded. You talk about "global elites". The irony is that it is actually such "global elites", big oil and coal companies, and special interests that are based on fossil fuels that want to keep the status quo and keep polluting.
Make an honest effort and read up on climate science. It would be sad to find out later in life that you have been grossly misinformed on climate and the earth that you share.
There's an important message here: Left or right, black or white, all people from every walk of life are self-righteous, egotistical pieces of garbage who will kill you if you don't conform to them, and fearmongering and threats are perfectly valid ways to make an argument.
@tabrismacbeth : Gawd, you are not much of a thespian, are you? When you watch your favorite Rambo film, do you barricade behind the couch?
Nah, you are the typical tea party member, who has been polarized and cannot think on his own. You have lost your freedom, and you are the foot soldier for the dirty business of others.
Maybe the spot is a little hard to be understood...
This is not a "how to handle non-believers" - the spot is playing with the fact that polluting in general is based on the idea of privatisation of benefits - and socialisation of the bad consequences.
Actually we do even kill children with our behaviour - they are just not sitting in "our classroom". And we say: Hey - your are free to live different than we do...
But they are not free to avoid those bad conseqences we do spread.
it's a pattern of the left when they get real power (like the power to kill people they don't like) stalin, lenin, che, mao(47million), hitler (remember they were the national socialists). if you don't fall in line. if you don't clap hard enough, long enough at the "i love my dictator rally". you could go to prison or the firing line. or re-education camps. check out "the killing fields". so many times this pattern has happened in history.
@syndicalist702 These people are ridiculous. I have a high efficiency vehicle. My apartment is filled with spiral, halogen and led lighting. I do it because it saves me money and it feels like I'm doing something good. Its giving back to the community. Also,my purchases stimulates the market to innovate ever increasingly efficient and ever diversifying energy solutions
These people basically just want the power to command and control people. These individuals are perverting the free movement.
@axe863 : Less than a day ago you wrote 'If you force a reallocation into highly inefficient goods [eco light bulbs, insulating the house], you will reduce productive potential. Econ 101'. Now you claim that your are the foster child of renewables and conservation of energy.
And on the second paragraph you come back with the regular denier mantra that they are out to get you and control you.
@mrtest0007 Global warming is true with high probability. Read my entire comment, I bought them for dual reasons. It saves me money and its good for the environment. I'm not forced to do it by threat of violence whether real or merely imprinted on my subconscious.
Why cant you grasp the simple fact that some things that fit within the green tech class are highly uneconomical? Is that so hard to grasp.
@mrtest0007 Yes. I created this channel 2 years ago just so I can comment against eco-fascists. The 99.9999% of my comments which are completely unrelated to eco-topics were all just to cover up this truth. Paranoia, much?
@axe863 : Careful with numbers. 99.9999% in 2 years means you wrote at least 1 million comments in two years, or 5500 comments per day. Being this sloppy in your comment shows you might actually talk rubbish.
You have this unhealthy attraction on fascim, communism and Hitler. If you do not like something, it is fascist. Even your YT page has several vids on communism and the cold war is over. Tell me why should I now consider that you are a nut case?
@mrtest0007 Oh no! Youve figured out that those numbers were impossible. It wasnt just an exaggeration to make a point of infrequency. My channel is actually a 400 person club who infrequently comment about eco-topics. I cant trick you. ;)
First, I dont know where you getting the Hitler thing from.. I never mentioned Nazism at all. Second, my videos are humorous.
"Tell me why should I now consider that you are a nut case?" coherence fail...
Talking about apathy: why the fuck aren't you busy reporting what's happening in the Gulf of Mexico? Or about Monsanto? Or any important stuff that actually has to do with the environment?
Repeal Climate Change Act 2008 Campaign exists to communicate an alternative viewpoint to the one-sided presentation of the climate change debate presented by the British government, the BBC and mainstream media and to lobby politicians for the repeal of the Climate Change Act 2008.
Please support us were are on Facebook - thank you
Doubt is their product is a book explaining how industry groups get away destroying the environment to increase their profits. Google for 'Doubt is their product'. Google Books has the book and you can read it online.
This debate on climate and the denialism are generated by industry groups.
This is a preamble to upcoming legislation that will "cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed" Revelation 13:15. It is Earth-worship, revived from ancient paganism. See Resurgence magazine's "Green Sunday" article. More details from adamhendron@gmail.com
Your notes to this video are mixing things up. The video is SICK. it is telling people if you do not reduce your CO2 by 10% you will be killed. Then you go onto say we are paid by big oil companies. I wish. I'm all for being green, hunt and grow your own food and all that, I do not like to be lied to. The CO2 scam is the biggest con the world has ever seen. please go onto my facebook group for more info. The round earth society and the truth about Global warming.
@audiocreator : What do you know about 'fascism'? Just because science tells you otherwise, you start calling everyone 'fascist'? Is that you Glen?
The goal of the video is to highlight the apathy for the environment. If you perceive this in some unique way, then it is something *you* need to figure about.
The point of this cute little movie was to tell you exactly what they want to do to you if they decide that you are a "climate denier". That's just the way people are. If you don't agree with them they want to attack you. Doesn't really matter what the perceived difference is. People will murder you for not believing the things they wish to believe, period.
@3PointsOfContact : 97% of climate scientists agree on climate change. We have passed over this point, you may want to cross the river as well.
The goal of the video is to highlight apathy for the environment. If you take the 'blowing up' literally, then I would to see you watching one of the Rambo films. Are you screaming behind the couch, covering your eyes so that you do not get shot? Are you for real?
@bubbazametti : The purpose of the video is to highlight apathy. The video draws a lot from what we call movies/films by showing things that you do not have to take literally.
Haven't you ever watched a Rambo movie? Don't you know that no people are actually hurt?
@mrtest0007 Are you really that oblivious to the real message this is sending? Holy Cow!!! I support reduction of our carbon footprint, but this is ABSOLUTELY INSANE! The message it sends is NOT like a movie. The implication is REALLY SAD, and is far too abrupt to NOT be taken literally. If you do not begin to comply, we will take matters into our own hands. There are MUCH better ways to get the message across. This is insanity in advertising.
@sdat3331us : If you have cable TV, try to watch this recent NatGeo documentary called "America Before Columbus". It shows North America before the immigrants from Europe started coming. It was a pristine paradise, now many of the resources are exhausted, and the future is bleak.
There are people who do not care, either due to lack of knowledge or due to political affiliation. This apathy is killing our future.
@BobGorelick : I am not the video producer for this. I like it and I broadcast it on Youtube. I see many deniers are broadcasting the video with they crazy talk, so I took the video and added balanced commentary.
@narutocaprirequest2 : What exactly don't you like? This is art, which in modern metrics is calculated by how many people find it objectionable. The video is probably not the official video for all environmental causes. It was created for a UK audience which may make it unsuitable for the US.
I understand the view of the video creators to attack apathy in such a way. The creators are happy enough to portray themselves (such as the woman doing the voice over) in a nice self-deprecating way.
I'm no denier, I believe in climate change, and I perfectly understand that this video is not to be taken seriously. Problem is: THIS ISN'T FUNNY. It's tasteless, gross, and badly-designed. I didn't laugh at all watching it. Please, for the sake of our common cause, STOP DEFENDING THIS CRAP.
The monty python link is not relevant at all. Yes it depicts gore. But the injuries are accidental and not selectively targeted against people who make their own choice.
@zardozcs : 'their own choice'? Like drunk-drivers is a choice. Or people who are sick (let's say flu) and continue to work. Or people who prepare meals and they do not care to wash their hands.
@mrtest0007 their own choice. Yes, in the video the teacher and CEO said "your choice, no pressure" just before executing them. Well if they're being executed they're not being allowed to exercise their own choice.
@zardozcs : We have covered the issue that you do not take literally what is shown in the video. Many of the things you watch on TV are not real either. You do know that WWE is not about real fights, right?
Are you one of those who also believe in the 'death panels' for the (US) health reform?
@mrtest0007 Lets say around 2002 George Bush's team made a video where people who disagree with his policies get shot in the face. How would you view this?
I dont think he thinks that its real "real" lol. Your WWE ref is both incorrect and a display of your propensity to generalize. The video implies that people whom chose not to get behind the eco movement are sub-human and of no worth whatsoever. If this is the case, there is a historical dynamic of how these "sub-humans" are dealt with.
@axe863 : You build some straw man argument and then attack it.
The environment, our planet, where we live in is going downhill. It is the apathy that is killing the environment. The video highlights the apathy with a message that we can no longer being apathetic. 'Blowing up' people as an extreme measure is used to highlight that we are out of options. Getting all hypersensitive in this context shows at best ulterior motives. Those that scream on this are the liars.
@mrtest0007 "if this is the case" Conditional. You should read this before you say strawman. Apathy is killing are planet.... if individuals remain indifferent by free choose ... then the superiors must destroy those inferior parts of an individual or instill some from of punishment. Of course, Im not suggesting that they will use murder as a threat...but they will use less extreme threats against non-conforming individuals for the "greater good"
@mrtest0007 In addition, the individuals whom execute the dissenters always have a position of leadership or control. There is a implied structure in this film. Did you notice that?
@mrtest0007 Yes, Mr. pseudo-intellectual.... The teacher, the boss, the person in a position of power in the team (vs the capitalist?) and the individual in charge of recording
@mrtest0007 Im not a denier. Btw, congrats on trying to cast me as a racist or on the same level as racists. When your argument falters, call someone a racist or group them with racists. This can even be accomplished when said individual didnt say anything about race.
@mrtest0007 If you force a reallocation into highly inefficient goods, you will reduce productive potential. Econ 101. Who will be hit the hardest? The poor. There will be food riots and mass starvation as food prices skyrocket. Over the years, millions of the poorest of the poor will die off. Good intentions (forgetting about the force issue) will cause negative consequences
@axe863 : If you watch the video, it talks about using the new type of light bulbs (not the incandescent). And your house, you can insulate it so that you save on heating. Are these actions gonna starve the poor?
Spend the next ten minutes on Google, search for 'Doubt is Their Product' and 'Merchants of Doubt'. If these book are not helpful, then I cannot do something for you.
@mrtest0007 Brilliant argument. State the things that don't raise prices and assume the others are non-existent. Cap and trade will cause energy prices to skyrocket. Don't take the word of an individual will versed in economics \.. just ask Obama. He stated Cap & Trade would essentially cause energy prices to skyrocket.
@mrtest0007 I never said anyone will be murdered. Why cant you grasp that fact? I said it is historical fact that people whom have been categorized as sub-human have been. By association, It is an implied threat with a degree of historical validity. Even if the individual doesn't associate it consciously, it can invade ones sub-conscious.
I don't hate the environment. I hate eco-fascists.
@axe863 : Yet again you invoke Godwin's Law. Fascism, Hitler, even communism.
You claim you do not hate the environment, then two posts below you say 'his video makes me want to pollute more. ... a lot more'.
You claim that you never said anyone will be murdered, then you imply that the video might be the start of identifying apathetic people as subhumans, and then murder them.
@mrtest0007 Godwins law refers to calling someone a Nazi. Where the hell have I said that? Where the hell did I talk about communism? Youre making things up left and right.
@mrtest0007 Yo'ure very Malthusian. First, the market is a complex adaptive system which breeds an every diversifying portfolio of energy strategies. Second, global warming is a reality but if you understood the extreme non-linearities present in complex systems, you would understand that long term forecasts are highly imperfect.
@mrtest0007 There is ample evidence that the higher ups in the various green movements consider the human race to be a virus and the earth would be better off without man. This video is just a freudian slip for that agenda.
@zardozcs : Your comment gives the impression that you are a nut-case. You fear that environmentalists are out to get you, and there is a great conspiracy against you. The green movement wants to achieve sustainability so that people do not end up dying from the exhaustion of the resources or the adverse climate change.
Yet, you have this bizarre fear of human extermination, by whom? The green movement? This is ridiculous!
I see this video as an attack on freedom of conscience. Some people are not convinced in a free society they have the right to make up their own mind. In this video what happens to them? They are executed. Just like people were executed in the Soviet Union, in China, in Germany for holding dissenting views to those in power.
@zardozcs : 'in a free society they have the right to make up their own mind'. Yeah, we have freedoms, but we also have responsibilities. You seem to confuse the two. In modern Germany you cannot mix up your rubbish; they go for recycling so you need to prepare them accordingly to the correct bin. Similar responsibilities exist in all societies.
The video makes a point towards apathy, apathy for the preservation of the environment (and also the national economy).
@mrtest0007 You see it as a point to apathy I see it as an attack on one's right to make their own decisions. Not everyone is convinced and the proper method to convince is through discussion, not blowing people up. Recycling is not a panacea. In some cases recycling something uses more resources that it would take to produce a new item. You can bet that if you're being forced to recycle by the government it is inefficient.
@mandyeb : The video is against apathy on the protection of the environment. We all know that we humans are affecting the climate so there is no debate on that.
@hypobusa : Yep, it's natural for the climate to change. The natural changes take ages to happen. Here we see fast changes and the sad prospect for an epic fail on our planet.
Greenland has enough ice to raise the sea level to 7 meters. Imagine the devastation even for a half a meter sea rise.
A warmer planet is a planet with more energy and more chances for freak weather events. The rains are not uniform across the planet. If the monsoons shift elsewhere, you get 100 of millions in despair.
the problem with this vid thats its all good for people who agree with the idea of global warming, but does absolutely nothing to convince people who are against the idea except that joke of blowing you up if you don't agree
@9476C : The issue is that the climate is changing due to our greenhouse emissions. There is no doubt about that, other than what the deniers tend to believe.
The issue now is that of defeating the apathy of the people to protect the environment.
In my book, those who deny climate change are like those who do not believe in evolution of the species, or believe that the earth is only 6000 years old.
To me it is clear that it is essential to cut down on, if not eliminate, pollution; and I was voted the best sense of humor in my 8th grade class; but this video is not funny; it's chilling. Its message is "If you disagree with us, we're going to kill you!"
If the evidence that you link us to were that strong, then there would be no need to threaten us like that.
@mrtest0007 Then your movement is childish, attempting to run your life around a "scientific fact" that has less than 1% of 1% of 1% (150 years) of data to back it up (over the course of the 4.5 billion years the earth has been around). Any self-respecting scientist would tell you that global warming, or climate change, or global cooling, or whatever it's been re-branded as, is nothing more than scare tactics, and that it would take millennia to come close to anything that could be plausible.
@rommelAOE : 97% of climate scientists are in agreement that humans are affecting the climate, and cause climate change. Read the links above.
Your questioning of science is a bit weird. Just because you do not understand the process does not mean that your view has any validity.
Recently, a planet was discovered in a solar system 20 light years away. Scientists also say that the conditions for life are favorable, and they even estimated the temperature to around -10C. U question also that?
@mrtest0007 breaking down your "arguement" 1: everyone else is doing it 2: You don't know what you're talking about waaaa 3: other planets don't have this problem, DERP.
In other words, nothing that actually refutes my claim about limited knowledge on the subject as a whole, just a bunch of ad-hominem attacks about what I, as a bystander, am able to pick apart you're arguement. It's apparent that you belong to the church of science, and your faith is not going anywhere, have fun being abused.
@rommelAOE : ffs, the 'other planet' example shows that for information such as temperate of a planet TWENTY LIGHT YEARS away, you do not show concern for the validity of the science. However, for climate change, where 97% of climate scientists agree, you throw your toys out of the pram.
@mrtest0007 I do show concern over the validity, how can one be sure that you have calculated a general rule, if you have less than .00001% of all available data? Way too many variables to consider, not enough sample time, and, most importantly, no control group. It's obvious that you've become a good little disciple of the church of science, and that you can't be dissuaded, you've got the insulting down, as well as looking past the obvious flaws of your side. Cont
@rommelAOE : If you do not understand science, maybe it's not the fault of science.
Your question is one of many elemental questions that contrarians have. For example, 380ppm (parts per million) should be too small to have an effect. Or, why say the oceans become more acidic if they are still alkaline? These are elemental questions that freshmen might have. If you really want to learn, watch the videos by 'greenman3610'. They are 50 vids, easy to follow, and entertaining.
@mrtest0007 You're obviously so entrenched in your ideals that you refuse to admit any gaps in your argument, no amount of logic and reason will get you to denounce your church, they've even got you using the lingo, referring to the other side as "childish". I have tried, but wish to pursue no longer for your freedom from those who wish to use you. In short, I'll leave you with this: “It is hard to free fools from the chains they revere.” – Voltaire
@rommelAOE : The irony is that it's you who is entrenched in your ideals and refuse to acknowledge that 97% of climate scientists agree with each other.
Just like the tobacco industry was attacking the medical scientists to create doubt and avoid regulation, the oil/gas/coal industry is doing the same to attack climate scientists. There are books on this, google 'Desmogblog', or 'Doubt is their product'. Don't rely on WUWT as your sole source of information.
@mrtest0007 I am thinking for myself, the 150 years came from my own research into the the subject, no one held me by the hand, which is something you obviously don't understand, that people can draw their own conclusions about something when you give them the raw information. Now if your done being a propaganda mouthpiece, I have to go clean my hunting rifle, have fun being a gigantic tool for the eco-freaks. I'm done with this conversation.
@rommelAOE : You claim that you have analyzed 150 years of climate data, with your own research. I hope you publish your analysis for peer review.
So, you are a hunter. You might want to watch this National Geographic documentary titled 'America Before Columbus', which talks about the natural environment in North America.
wot a load of crap, byeing all the matrial junk we dont need costs the planet more than eneything else, but they dont want you to stop doing that. no just make people feel gilty for leaveing a light on or introjuce carbon tax insted to cost you your cash, they are not silly
@fingleweed : Not buying useless stuff helps protect the environment. If you can stop buying stuff that you do not need, then this helps the environment. It also helps the economy in the long-run, by getting businesses to focus on good products.
you dont need to do eney of this , if you didnt bye things you dont need, products cost the planet more in enegey than eneything else, but they dont want you to no that
@mrg00ddude : I read those emails you refer to. They show climate scientists that are fed up with deniers, but did not do something that affects their scientific work. Btw, do you still believe that the 'trick' in the e-mails was referring to some conspiracy? Because many deniers are so silly to mess up the context of that e-mail.
@mrtest0007 they use computers punch in numbers to absurd results think whens t6he last time government/corporations cared plus co2 rise follows global warming not the other way around
@mrg00ddude : Climate change can affect countries and make them poor. These are less customers for our exports, which is bad. Governments care about this.
CO2 follows global warming? It's a myth, google for 'The “Temp leads Carbon” Crock'. It is one of the videos that I mention above.
@FrictionControl : Yeah, it's funny. There are many more film genres other than those served by Hollywood. Search Youtube for 'Monty Pythons' and you can even find a similar video. Monty Pythons made a movie called 'The Life of Brian', which is a parody of the life of Jesus Christ. Depending on your religion, you might find it slightly offensive.
@mrtest0007 Duh, you mean Michael Bay and Jerry Bruckheimer aren't the only people making movies? Amazing how belief in leftist causes and condescension go hand in hand. I've seen all the Python movies, but comedy is highly subjective. You might find this hilarious; I don't. Don't lose sleep over it.
@FrictionControl : You use the term 'leftist' which means that you are a conservative and probably a creationist. In addition, the Monty Pythons made 45 episodes with sketches, which is the core of their work.
I doubt that you actually watched any of the work of the Monty Pythons.
For example, 'The Life of Brian' makes fun of the incredulity of the Christians. Are you OK with making fun of the Christians?
@mrtest0007 I'm a member of the Leave Me the Hell Alone Party. I've seen your precious Python sketches and movies. I also own vinyl Python albums. I watched Ripping Yarns. (Never liked Fawlty Towers.) I also enjoy The Fast Show and love the hell out of Little Britain and The Office (UK only) and Extras. What was your point again?
I'm a Christian and I'm OK with people making fun of Christians. Are you OK with making fun of Muslims?
@FrictionControl : I asked you about 'The Life of Brian', you did not reply.
Anyway, the purpose of the video is to target apathy that some people may have on issues relating to climate change and the environment. The video is targeted to the UK audience, which requires to think internationally.
You do not like the video due to your preconceived views on the environment. It's like the other commenter earlier who threatened me that he will keep the lights on all day, just to get CO2-even.
@felixjazzage : Show me that I am wrong. Whenever I encounter someone that threatens to keep the lights on all night just to punish the environment, they are conservative Christian fundamentalists and creationists. They also hate science.
It might be funny if the left-wing/liberals/progressives/Socialists/Marxists/Stalinists/Nazis/Leninists didn't actually have a history of doing this to dissenters!
@Dougster : It is remarkably silly to make such comparisons, even Nazis of all things.
The climate issues are real and significant. I happily read all resources, make an attempt to read the SkepticalScience link I posted in the video details section.
@mrtest0007 Are you actually attempting to perpetuate the "joke" of this video in order to make your point? ("If you still remain a denier, no pressure!") Amazing. You people still have no idea how appalling you are and how stupid you are, no idea how much damage you have done to your cause. Well, the mask is off.
@mrtest0007 : We are not deniers. We don't deny anything that is correctly proven by science. Unfortunately, you have not proven anything yet. All you are: pressurers full of hypocrite "no pressure" on your tongue, as your movie has proven. It is causing a wonderful backlash you are even so stupid not to have foreseen. How could we trust your pseudo-scientific forecasts then? Leave people free to deny you and then find their own way to fix warming if there is really one.
@stixomatic : You are a denier. Your 'Unfortunately, you have not proven anything yet' is an example of a person that voices an absolute opinion and is not willing even to have a debate.
Yes, we cannot predict the climate accurately for the next ten to fifty years. We do have strong evidence that greenhouse gases are heating up the planet.
This whole denialism is the creation of PR companies funded by the coal/oil industry, such as ExxonMobil and the Koch Industries. Read my links above.
I really don't see how anyone could take the message literally. Maybe the video should end with a big "We were just kidding"... Of course it's not the most clever video on that topic but it was not meant to be so serious...
AddEndless 1 month ago
Meanwhile the climate changes as it always has, presently it's cooling, this is not a bad thing, it's part of the Earth.

That will tell you everything you need to know about AGW.
neuralpathic 1 year ago
@neuralpathic : ""We are headed towards a global government with a global currency and a global carbon tax""
So, you are telling me with a straight face that you HAVE these absurd beliefs and you do NOT watch Fox News? You know, your Glenn Beck is actually on the Fox Network.
Your profile says you are just 19 years old, and you joined just recently. Are you a real person? Or is this just an 'account for comments'?
mrtest0007 1 year ago
@mrtest0007: Who decides what the "real science" is? The "scientists" who fudged their data? Or, maybe you can decide for us. Let's be a little more objective here, then. What exactly about "no supporting evidence for man-made global warming" was blown out of proportion? Be more specific, and try not to get sidetracked on irrelevant issues again.
neuralpathic 1 year ago
@neuralpathic : "no supporting evidence for man-made global warming"??? If you read the denier websites, watch Fox News, you are entitled to this distorted view.

mrtest0007 1 year ago
@ mrtest0007: yes, ive read both the real science AND the propaganda. have you already forgotten about climategate? how convenient. well, let me remind you: fudged data, rigged computer models, deleted records, evidence of global cooling, etc. do you have a pseudo-ironic response for that too? of course the elites, who own big oil, etc., dont plan on following the same rules they enforce on everyone else. dont be so dense.
neuralpathic 1 year ago
@neuralpathic : Just because you claim you read the real science does not mean you actually did.
What you call 'climategate' is just an issue blown out of proportion. Similar to the attack on Shirley Sherrod by the attack dog Beirtrand. ACORN had to go down by any means, so those videos where edited to bring them down. The AG of Massachusetts said "he found no evidence of criminal conduct by ACORN employees", but it's now a forgotten story. Do we never learn?
mrtest0007 1 year ago
You're either a liar or the victim of a lie, mrtest0007. The "science" behind global warming has been exposed as a sham over and over again. The depopulation agenda of the global elites who will benefit from carbon reduction programs has been revealed. Anyone who honestly investigates the facts for themselves will reach the same conclusion. "Honestly" is the key word here.
neuralpathic 1 year ago
@neuralpathic : You are deluded. You talk about "global elites". The irony is that it is actually such "global elites", big oil and coal companies, and special interests that are based on fossil fuels that want to keep the status quo and keep polluting.
Make an honest effort and read up on climate science. It would be sad to find out later in life that you have been grossly misinformed on climate and the earth that you share.

@mrtest0007 Are you really that oblivious to the real message this is sending? Holy Cow!!! I support reduction of our carbon footprint, but this is ABSOLUTELY INSANE! I dont think he thinks that its real "real" lol. Your WWE ref is both incorrect and a display of your propensity to generalize. The video implies that people whom chose not to get behind the eco movement are sub-human and of no worth whatsoever. If this is the case, there is a historical dynamic of how these "sub-humans" are dealt with.
axe863 1 year ago
@axe863 : You build some straw man argument and then attack it.
The environment, our planet, where we live in is going downhill. It is the apathy that is killing the environment. The video highlights the apathy with a message that we can no longer being apathetic. 'Blowing up' people as an extreme measure is used to highlight that we are out of options. Getting all hypersensitive in this context shows at best ulterior motives. Those that scream on this are the liars.
mrtest0007 1 year ago
@mrtest0007 "if this is the case" Conditional. You should read this before you say strawman. Apathy is killing are planet.... if individuals remain indifferent by free choose ... then the superiors must destroy those inferior parts of an individual or instill some from of punishment. Of course, Im not suggesting that they will use murder as a threat...but they will use less extreme threats against non-conforming individuals for the "greater good"

I see this video as an attack on freedom of conscience. Some people are not convinced in a free society they have the right to make up their own mind. In this video what happens to them? They are executed. Just like people were executed in the Soviet Union, in China, in Germany for holding dissenting views to those in power.
Exactly how is that supposed to be funny?
zardozcs 1 year ago
@zardozcs : 'in a free society they have the right to make up their own mind'. Yeah, we have freedoms, but we also have responsibilities. You seem to confuse the two. In modern Germany you cannot mix up your rubbish; they go for recycling so you need to prepare them accordingly to the correct bin. Similar responsibilities exist in all societies.
The video makes a point towards apathy, apathy for the preservation of the environment (and also the national economy).
mrtest0007 1 year ago
@mrtest0007 You see it as a point to apathy I see it as an attack on one's right to make their own decisions. Not everyone is convinced and the proper method to convince is through discussion, not blowing people up. Recycling is not a panacea. In some cases recycling something uses more resources that it would take to produce a new item. You can bet that if you're being forced to recycle by the government it is inefficient.

Climate change is a natural cycle.
That ice caps have only been around 15 million yrs. Before that, the ice caps were water.
Less ice = more water, more warmth = better growing condition so more food,
The dry places would become wet.
Look at how well things grow in tropical areas. Sea levels are always up & down.
hypobusa 1 year ago
@hypobusa : Yep, it's natural for the climate to change. The natural changes take ages to happen. Here we see fast changes and the sad prospect for an epic fail on our planet.
Greenland has enough ice to raise the sea level to 7 meters. Imagine the devastation even for a half a meter sea rise.
A warmer planet is a planet with more energy and more chances for freak weather events. The rains are not uniform across the planet. If the monsoons shift elsewhere, you get 100 of millions in despair.
mrtest0007 1 year ago
the problem with this vid thats its all good for people who agree with the idea of global warming, but does absolutely nothing to convince people who are against the idea except that joke of blowing you up if you don't agree
9476C 1 year ago
@9476C : The issue is that the climate is changing due to our greenhouse emissions. There is no doubt about that, other than what the deniers tend to believe.
The issue now is that of defeating the apathy of the people to protect the environment.

mrtest0007 1 year ago
@mrtest0007 Then your movement is childish, attempting to run your life around a "scientific fact" that has less than 1% of 1% of 1% (150 years) of data to back it up (over the course of the 4.5 billion years the earth has been around). Any self-respecting scientist would tell you that global warming, or climate change, or global cooling, or whatever it's been re-branded as, is nothing more than scare tactics, and that it would take millennia to come close to anything that could be plausible.
rommelAOE 1 year ago
@rommelAOE : 97% of climate scientists are in agreement that humans are affecting the climate, and cause climate change. Read the links above.
Your questioning of science is a bit weird. Just because you do not understand the process does not mean that your view has any validity.
Recently, a planet was discovered in a solar system 20 light years away. Scientists also say that the conditions for life are favorable, and they even estimated the temperature to around -10C. U question also that?
mrtest0007 1 year ago
@mrtest0007 breaking down your "arguement" 1: everyone else is doing it 2: You don't know what you're talking about waaaa 3: other planets don't have this problem, DERP.
In other words, nothing that actually refutes my claim about limited knowledge on the subject as a whole, just a bunch of ad-hominem attacks about what I, as a bystander, am able to pick apart you're arguement. It's apparent that you belong to the church of science, and your faith is not going anywhere, have fun being abused.
rommelAOE 1 year ago
@rommelAOE : ffs, the 'other planet' example shows that for information such as temperate of a planet TWENTY LIGHT YEARS away, you do not show concern for the validity of the science. However, for climate change, where 97% of climate scientists agree, you throw your toys out of the pram.
mrtest0007 1 year ago

They are 50 vids, easy to follow, and entertaining.
mrtest0007 1 year ago
@mrtest0007 You're obviously so entrenched in your ideals that you refuse to admit any gaps in your argument, no amount of logic and reason will get you to denounce your church, they've even got you using the lingo, referring to the other side as "childish". I have tried, but wish to pursue no longer for your freedom from those who wish to use you. In short, I'll leave you with this: “It is hard to free fools from the chains they revere.” – Voltaire
rommelAOE 1 year ago
@rommelAOE : The irony is that it's you who is entrenched in your ideals and refuse to acknowledge that 97% of climate scientists agree with each other.
Just like the tobacco industry was attacking the medical scientists to create doubt and avoid regulation, the oil/gas/coal industry is doing the same to attack climate scientists. There are books on this, google 'Desmogblog', or 'Doubt is their product'. Don't rely on WUWT as your sole source of information.
mrtest0007 1 year ago
@mrtest0007 I am thinking for myself, the 150 years came from my own research into the the subject, no one held me by the hand, which is something you obviously don't understand, that people can draw their own conclusions about something when you give them the raw information. Now if your done being a propaganda mouthpiece, I have to go clean my hunting rifle, have fun being a gigantic tool for the eco-freaks. I'm done with this conversation.
rommelAOE 1 year ago
@rommelAOE : You claim that you have analyzed 150 years of climate data, with your own research. I hope you publish your analysis for peer review.
So, you are a hunter. You might want to watch this National Geographic documentary titled 'America Before Columbus', which talks about the natural environment in North America.

wot a load of crap, byeing all the matrial junk we dont need costs the planet more than eneything else, but they dont want you to stop doing that. no just make people feel gilty for leaveing a light on or introjuce carbon tax insted to cost you your cash, they are not silly
fingleweed 1 year ago
@fingleweed : Not buying useless stuff helps protect the environment. If you can stop buying stuff that you do not need, then this helps the environment. It also helps the economy in the long-run, by getting businesses to focus on good products.
mrtest0007 1 year ago
you dont need to do eney of this , if you didnt bye things you dont need, products cost the planet more in enegey than eneything else, but they dont want you to no that
fingleweed 1 year ago
@fingleweed : Who are 'they', who do not want you to do 'that'?
The idea is to be considerate to the environment. We have one planet Earth, and Mars/Venus are out of the question for colonization.

more like apathy towards the truth climate gate ya clucks
mrg00ddude 1 year ago
@mrg00ddude : I read those emails you refer to. They show climate scientists that are fed up with deniers, but did not do something that affects their scientific work. Btw, do you still believe that the 'trick' in the e-mails was referring to some conspiracy? Because many deniers are so silly to mess up the context of that e-mail.

@mrtest0007 they use computers punch in numbers to absurd results think whens t6he last time government/corporations cared plus co2 rise follows global warming not the other way around
mrg00ddude 1 year ago
@mrg00ddude : Climate change can affect countries and make them poor. These are less customers for our exports, which is bad. Governments care about this.
CO2 follows global warming? It's a myth, google for 'The “Temp leads Carbon” Crock'. It is one of the videos that I mention above.

@nikolai082700 : It's just a video. Get a life!
mrtest0007 1 year ago
@FrictionControl : Yeah, it's funny. There are many more film genres other than those served by Hollywood. Search Youtube for 'Monty Pythons' and you can even find a similar video. Monty Pythons made a movie called 'The Life of Brian', which is a parody of the life of Jesus Christ. Depending on your religion, you might find it slightly offensive.
mrtest0007 1 year ago
@mrtest0007 Duh, you mean Michael Bay and Jerry Bruckheimer aren't the only people making movies? Amazing how belief in leftist causes and condescension go hand in hand. I've seen all the Python movies, but comedy is highly subjective. You might find this hilarious; I don't. Don't lose sleep over it.
FrictionControl 1 year ago
@FrictionControl : You use the term 'leftist' which means that you are a conservative and probably a creationist. In addition, the Monty Pythons made 45 episodes with sketches, which is the core of their work.
I doubt that you actually watched any of the work of the Monty Pythons.
For example, 'The Life of Brian' makes fun of the incredulity of the Christians. Are you OK with making fun of the Christians?
mrtest0007 1 year ago
@mrtest0007 I'm a member of the Leave Me the Hell Alone Party. I've seen your precious Python sketches and movies. I also own vinyl Python albums. I watched Ripping Yarns. (Never liked Fawlty Towers.) I also enjoy The Fast Show and love the hell out of Little Britain and The Office (UK only) and Extras. What was your point again?
I'm a Christian and I'm OK with people making fun of Christians. Are you OK with making fun of Muslims?
FrictionControl 1 year ago
@FrictionControl : I asked you about 'The Life of Brian', you did not reply.
Anyway, the purpose of the video is to target apathy that some people may have on issues relating to climate change and the environment. The video is targeted to the UK audience, which requires to think internationally.
You do not like the video due to your preconceived views on the environment. It's like the other commenter earlier who threatened me that he will keep the lights on all day, just to get CO2-even.
mrtest0007 1 year ago
@mrtest0007 So now you're not only condescending, you're also psychic? Why are you wasting your time on YouTube?
My point was that I didn't find it funny. That's all.
And I thought The Life of Brian was hilarious. The makers of this video should take lessons.

@mrtest0007
What on earth makes you think everyone on the right is a conservative Christian and creationist? Way to stereotype there, Euro trash.
felixjazzage 1 year ago

Well, the mask is off.
danolson 1 year ago
@mrtest0007 : We are not deniers. We don't deny anything that is correctly proven by science. Unfortunately, you have not proven anything yet. All you are: pressurers full of hypocrite "no pressure" on your tongue, as your movie has proven. It is causing a wonderful backlash you are even so stupid not to have foreseen. How could we trust your pseudo-scientific forecasts then? Leave people free to deny you and then find their own way to fix warming if there is really one.
stixomatic 1 year ago
@stixomatic : You are a denier. Your 'Unfortunately, you have not proven anything yet' is an example of a person that voices an absolute opinion and is not willing even to have a debate.
Yes, we cannot predict the climate accurately for the next ten to fifty years. We do have strong evidence that greenhouse gases are heating up the planet.
This whole denialism is the creation of PR companies funded by the coal/oil industry, such as ExxonMobil and the Koch Industries. Read my links above.
