@xxsmexixx12345 Hi :) There is an inexpensive site to begin buying your supplies. It is called Bountiful Baby. There they have all the things you need to begin. I can also suggest Dolls By Sandie. Both have everything you would need to start. You will enjoy this new hobby but be careful it is very addictive! LOL
i see why your saying that but these dolls are for people who lost their babies or they're too old to have a baby or are too young to have a baby (im 15) like me :) they are given to an artist as a blank kit and are painted so they are a part of art too i have 4 reborns and am waiting for 1 more i hope you get it ;) and sorry to bother you i was just saying ;)

@diddybear123 You are never able to get reborns for under $100. I'm from Canada as well, and I never pay less than $200 for my dolls. If you got one for that cheap, it obviously is not a very nice reborn :/ Sorry...
The woman selling the reborns in this video went bancrupt in the end & ended up with a lot of womens money :o( the program certainly didn't do her any favors in the long run. She took on too many custom orders & couldn't cope. She apparently went on to marry & have another child.

And the lady that got Jamie to reborn her a baby like her grandson, who's husband said he didn't like it? ended up becoming a reborner herself & is very good apparently, goes to the doll shows selling them. Would love to watch the whole program again, but can't find it on youtube anywhere?

Yes they are out of pocket by no fault of their own and I only wish things had been different as I lost everything I worked for through no fault of my own. All I am trying to say is its been 4 years now and people still can't get their facts right and still feel the need to riddicule me. @Jay061108 Jamie thank you for responding and setting the record straight. I have posted this video as a way to educate people who only see a negative side to reborn dolls. Too many times in the media we (artists) are shown in a negative light. Also collectors are always portrayed as being "looney" or in need of help. This documentary is what peaked my interest and I now create beautiful babies of my own. I say thanks for that...you don't have to explain. Glad you did set it straight though. :)
My mother bought one of these dolls from an ebayer in Australia. The thing is so real it freaks me out. Now my wife wants one. My mother paid something like $1500!

Reborn babies are hella cute, but the thing with having a baby is having contacts with him. I mean Im just a student in chilhood education but the greatest thing about being a mother is to love and be loved to feel theres something between two humans. Those dolls are good for movies or whatever. But wanting to be a parent and getting one of those to me is a waste of money ! HUGE RESPECT TO THE PEOPLE WHO MAKE DOLLS THO ,YOURE ALL AMAZING ARTISTS.i'm not hating , just giving my opinion .,.. :)

Many of the things seen about reborns has been misrepresented and many see a biased view of this artform. This documentary do both and it is here to give folks a chance to see what some of the fuss is about, not as a bible for information about reborns.
@molloy57 Though there are the occational women who cuddle these "babies" more the majority of women are collectors. Also though we have young girls who adopt our dolls there is nothing unhealthy about that...they are dolls. The bond between a mother and child is a wondrous thing I know, but if a woman finds comfort in holding these dolls after a loss or due to loneliness I think (IMHO) it's her decision and she shouldn't feel she "wasted" money. They bring joy to many girls and women. Hugs :)
@molloy57 I love reborns! I got my first reborn this year and she's so fun. And of course the nicest part is that when you are busy, you can set these dolls down and ignore them, unlike a real baby! But they are real works of art--the good ones. It's fun to pretend to have a real baby sometimes!
@smegsone1 It is an auction so it goes to the highest bidder. Once and awhile I will offer a "Buy It Now" price and that price varies depending on the kit. Prices start at $350 when I do that.

@singer20467 Hi Singer, The prices vary by what the baby has done when making it. My most recent baby Genevieve was adopted for just less than my last babies. You can check eBay often. Keep watch for new babies. I finish them often.

Also, we found that she had filed bankruptcy. I hope things are better for her now. She was my inspiration for getting started making reborns.
