@DesireSpasm I like the way the vocals are done in this version, it's almost like he's singing the way he would sing to himself while he's alone. It sounds more honest and almost paranoid than his stage performance. If anything it's a side of Meric we havn't seen before...
your dumb, the dodos are amazing vocally as much as they are at guitar, or percussion. Your ignorance is very annoying, perhaps you should listen to them with better sound equipment? Or Recordings? Perhaps you should stop judging bands based on small mobile sound equipment from your comfy little computer chair? Damn.
Such hatred, wow... I'm merely pointing out that I as a person has an opinion and that my opinion is that his vocals are boring, that's all. If you can't handle it, then I suggest you to not read comments on YouTube because they contain a lot of criticism and hate. Mine was mild and mature. There's nothing wrong with the sound equipment, and I did listen to the studio recording of the song too - and I didn't like it. Maybe you shouldn't judge me too soon?
What a hypocritical reply, I am that criticism, and hate towards you. Perhaps you should stop commenting on YouTube if your so shocked by this "premature hatred" towards your ridiculous remarks on good bands. And did I say that there was anything wrong with the sound equipment? No. But there is no way in hell it can compare to a full set of live equipment at a staged show. Perhaps its you who cant handle my opinion?
"/.../ Perhaps you should stop judging bands based on small mobile sound equipment from your comfy little computer chair? /.../" - I'll just leave this little quote there. I'm not gonna argue with someone who can't even remember what he says.
Wow, where does that quote say bad, or horrible? No. It just cant compare to stage equipment. Its funny, your striping the carcass when theirs nothing left. Is there anything else pointless you'd like to point out?
The drums are definitely drowning him out here, the balance is way off. You mentioned how you listened to the studio recording of this song, but I think thats the problem. Time to Die is one of the more uninteresting songs, and the whole album is widely recognized to be not the same caliber as their previous album.
Personally, I like Visiter and Beware of the Maniacs better, and suggest that you listen to those. Also check out any of their live performances.
it looks like meric has a hickey

He's a very good guitar player, but as I wrote in the other video, it just falls flat on the uninteresting vocals.

The vocals don't stand out in this mix at all, sounds like he's kind of absent mindedly humming the melody.
But in my opinion he's an amazing singer with interesting melodic lines. Check out some of the other stuff where he actually has a good mic.
