  • 3:38 - 5:12 is abare hatchaku 1979 TV show. opening & ending

i thought i posted this before?

    mybe someone els video.

  • 3:37 - 4:26 is あばれはっちゃく wich is

"abare hatchaku" its just a boys name & ive been watching it for the last

2 months on YT. Yes 4:27 - 5:13 is the same show, but the end theme.

  • @Raymasaki Hey Ray, do you know if different actors played the same character or did the same boy just gain weight?

  • 3-00 to 3-36 is Uchuu. kenji Yamato

  • 0:46 - 1:43 "Oikake Rock" (Opening theme) by Kumiko Oosugi

    Original Animation: Bailey's Comets

  • I found the title for this a while ago but it was too hard to find a sound clip of it. Though I don't think it was the main theme song for Bailey's Comets; that had its own OP.

I do know that it came from a show called まんがのくに which seems to translate to Kuni's Comics. Apparently, it was a show that had different American cartoons, so Bailey's Comets was most likely on it, as was Dastardly & Muttley.

Thanks for the Bailey's Comets tip. I actually got a hit on Google. :)

  • Hey my dad has 2 japanese song that i want to know the name of but i cant find it, but he said that the singer was really famous. So can you tell me the top 5 famous male japanese singers? and if possible the girls too. Arigatou gozaimasu!!!

  • Well, the top 5 of anything changes frequently so I won't even begin to guess. :)

What year? What type of music- enka? pop? If you can post a clip of the music, that would help too.

  • Well im guessing around the 70's and or early 80'd that his songs got popular. (he have dark skin and messy hair most of the time from one pic my dad showed me) The type of music he sings is... i don't really know, i'd say it sounds like jazz or the blues ( a little) I only have 2 of his songs. I'll try to post the song when i have the chance download it from a CD my dad made a long time ago...

  • Hmm, If he was popular any time after 1979, I wouldn't have heard him because I moved back to the states then. He doesn't sound familiar so you may want to get that clip up. I know someone out there would know.

  • Who are you? I left Tokyo in 1979 also to go to college. What high school did you go to?

  • Oh I wasn't old enough to go to high school; I was in grade school, although I think my sister said that she was bussed out to a high school in Yokohama. Does Kinnick High ring a bell? The only definite name I remember was Sullivan, and that's when we lived on base in Yokosuka. In Yokohama, I only remember taking a bus up fire-engine hill and some time later being dumped off at a pseudo school that looked more like barracks.

  • 3:37 - 4:26 "Tango Murisunna!" by Horie Mitsuko I have heard somewhere. I can't seem to remember where, but it was probably YouTube. But I know I've heard it.

  • here's a tinyurl link: /6oqzq4

just append that to the url. crazy url blocking by youtube..

anyway, he seems like a real troublemaker, which is probably the reason why i liked the program so much back then. :p

  • あばれはっちゃくmeans a kid that can't be controlled. It's kinda like saying "little rascal".

  • First song-8 man,Thrid song-銀河大戰OP,ED

  • 0:46-1:35 anime『まんがのくに』theme song 『おいかけロック』

    6:13-7:30 anime『スカイキッド ブラック魔王』theme song

    7:41-8:35 drama『なんてたって18さい』theme song

    8:36-9:41 anime『星の王子さま』ending song『星のサンバ』

  • Hello. :) Sorry that you had to submit comments multiple times, but I wanted to have the ability to approve comments just in case ads or vulgar remarks were made.

  • Hello

I'm very sorry to submit comments multiple times.

  • Oh, that's no problem. I'm used to moderating so it's no hassle at all.

Regarding 0:46-1:35, I did some searches, and I came across Hanna Barbera pictures and references to "Kuni's Comics." Was this a show that played different American cartoons or was this a show about someone named Kuni?

  • 6:13-7:30 HAHAHAHHAHAHA. When I searched for your text, I came up with Dastardly and Muttley! How funny that it is an American cartoon. I always thought this was related in some way to the Hachiji Da Yo team because the voices and music sound like them. Maybe I recorded the song, not because of the cartoon, but because I enjoyed the song. :)

  • Also, is the translation for なんてたって18さい "what would an 18 year old do?" I did a search for that exact phrase, and couldn't come up with anything I could understand. If you know of a link, can you post it or email it (since I don't think Youtube allows links in comments). Thanks!

  • 7:41

    なんてったって18歳 by 岡崎友紀 (okazaki yuki)

Looks like she starred in a drama with this theme song circa 1971, says japanese wikipedia.

    /watch?v=aoqf-mP7gUo

Hope that helps. I have no idea what the title means.

  • Whoops, I forgot to update the list. I have no idea how the title translates either. Some phrases just don't translate quite right in the software that I use. :/

Anyway, how did you know about this show?

  • @d5ive Heh, google. I was looking for videos of Isao Sasaki and stumbled upon this. I thought it was interesting, so I looked some of the stuff up. I like learning about older Japanese songs.

  • I've actually found that quite funny about Google-- I keep running into my video whenever I do searches re: old anime. Thanks for helping out.

You wouldn't happen to know the song from the old Yakuza movie I posted, would you? :p

  • 1:44 - 2:59 is definitely Isao Sasaki, the song is "Yuusha yo Ginga o Watare" from "Uchuu kara no Message Ginga Taisen".

The second song sounds like being performed by Kumiko Osugi, but I can't be sure...

  • wait i guess i was wrong, but the singers did sound similar. oh well

  • 1:44-2:59 is definitely gatchaman.

  • I asked some of my friends for help; so: the fourth song is Tango Murisunna! by Horie Mitsuko, and the fifth

is also Horie, and the song is Hacchaku Ondo.

    Hope that helps :D

  • This is kind of curious because I'm wondering how I got 2 songs from the same artist in order. Do you or your friends happen to know what show Hacchaku Ondo is from?

Also, by you mentioning the artist, that just confirms to me how much the same artists were used for so many different projects. For example, the voice from 1:44 - 2:59 sounds so much like Sasaki Isao (sings theme for Yamato). It's kind of hard finding the connection though when you can't read or write Japanese. Hah.

  • It is definitively Sasaki Isao, he did sing for half of those shows then (as Horie did too).., I have a bunch of his songs and tried to find this one but no luck..

They had some singers who were really popular and wanted for intro songs then, so they did the majority of them. (you can also separate them by the anime genres :D)

Oh and I'll ask my friend about the anime titles, or try to find it myself ;)

  • 0 - :45 = エイトマン (Eightman)

  • 7:31 - 7:40 = Opening song for "Here comes the Modern Girl" (はいからさんが通る).

There was a clip here a few weeks ago, but youtube took it down. You can still see the italian version to see if you recognize it, but it doesn't sound the same.

  • Thanks. I remember the intro because my sister had some postcards of the show. It's nice to know the English translation of the title. This was a favorite of my sister's and not mine, which is probably why I only recorded the first few seconds. :)

  • 1st 40 seconds are for the original Japanese opening of 8Man (aka Tobor the 8th Man). The android body housing the brain patterns of murdered Special Agent Brady. It was pre Six Million Dollar Man. ./'

  • Hehe, that's interesting to know. I had no idea what this anime was really about since I couldn't understand Japanese.

What's really funny is that I would see 8Man stuff around, like at the ComicCon, Japanese stores, or even recently while researching all of this. It never hit me that this was an actual item of interest until it was mentioned . I must've blocked it out for some reason. Weird.

  • Those guys were a comedy pop/folk singing duo and you can buy a number of collections of their songs from places like CDJapan-- just type in their name "Anonenone" in a search. Also if you cut and paste the Japanese characters I put in my comment, you may get other videos here on youtube from appearances on a comdey variety show. Just comedy though-- no singing.:(

  • What you suggested is the second thing I did after I read your response. :) I didn't recognize the duo at all, or the shows they were on, although some of the stuff I saw was pretty funny. I'm guessing I just really liked the outrageousness of the comedy to record them like I did. I'll see if my local Japanese supermarket has their CD in stock. Thanks!

  • 5:14 - 6:12 = "Neko NyanNyan" ネコニャンヤン by the singing/comedy duo Anonenone あのねのね. The singers appeared on many variety shows

  • Hahaha, awesome. Thanks. Seems like this is going to be one of the more obscure things I'm going to have to track down. Is this anime or was it just a song played on a variety show?

Those laser sounds are too cool.
