  • Very Lanois..wonderful

  • In reply to my earlier post, I have just bought another one of these beautiful units, ahhhh blisssssss lol

  • The Edge

  • your playing reminds me of mother natures boy by beatles.

Nice playing! Mind sharing with us how you set the delay?

    Sounds great!

  • @yydmzkz09 exact settings on Deluxe Memory Man pedals may not be too helpful as each one is calibrated a bit differently, but basically the delay time is set for quarter note repeats, and the feedback is set just high enough to get a nice long trail going without getting into infinite repeats. This also adds a nice subtle modulation without having to rely on the chorus/vibrato, which i have set on vibrato and turned all the way down.

  • Really lovely piece of music! I had a DMM and sold it, sob sob sob, I don't like to talk about it now! lol Ebay here I come! lol

  • thats not stereo.

  • @insaneinthebrain1978 In lo def YouTube compresses to mono, hi def is in stereo.

  • what song is this? it's absolutely beautiful!

  • @OneLastTomorrow777 thanks, it's something i put together for the demo.

  • Great job and great pedal.

  • Is this the 90's remake of the old pedal? And if so is it one of the ones that had the good chips in em? I hear around 1999 I think they had to change the chips or something. Do you know anything about that?

  • @nonnafhires yes this is the 90's reissue, with the two MN3005 chips like the original DMM. After 2006, four MN3008 chips instead of two MN3005 chips were used, but some did still have the MN3005 chips, you'd have to open them to check.

  • @Jahnli Thank you. Thats exactly what I've been trying to find out. You've given me more information on these chips than I've been able to find on the entire internet. Beautiful melody by the way. And great sounding pedal too.

  • When I hear you playing, I know everything is going to be okay, no matter what.

  • amazing man! gotta have one now, thanks for that! haha

  • this is very nice man! where'd you buy it?

  • @MusicRedd this one was used on eBay - unfortunately they don't make the "big box" Deluxe Memory Mans anymore.

  • @Jahnli I gotta buy one of these it sounds really good man! real clean and pure tone.

  • I just got one off ebay :D This is the best delay pedal!! It plays amazingly and sounds like your in a dream world

  • beautyful how did you recorded this?

  • @scricciolotopo a zoom H4 that can record in stereo.

  • bro, I really love this melody. Speaking for everyone, begging everyone's pardon, I think we'd all be glad to buy the mp3 of this if you re-learned/membered it and recorded it! much love from wilmington NC

  • That was so sweet!

  • How did you get it stereo?

  • @wahwahwes the Deluxe Memory Man has a dry signal and a delay signal out - I hooked them to separate amps, creating a stereo field. Then for this recording it was a stereo field mic, the Zoom H4. When you choose 480p playback in youtube, you'll hear it in stereo - low def 360p is only in mono.

  • any chance i can get a mp3 of that sounds so beautiful

  • @janewaydk this was a few years ago, only this vid is left of that night sadly.

  • @Jahnli damnn.. :(

  • what song is that? it sounds very pretty.

  • Thanks, just something I put together.

  • Which do you prefer? The DMM or the Replica?

  • The DMM - the Replica can have that digital hashing out that isn't appealing when you extend long delay trails.

  • win

  • Sounds absolutely beautiful!

  • I'm GASing for one of these. I have a Cathedral on the way and this would make a perfect addition too.

  • This demo is amazing!!!

You should do a lesson video where you explain how to play it!!

    It's very hypnotic!

  • Hi Jahnli..

when i'm looking for a demo i often find you!

How do you get you stuff in stereo?

  • I used two amps, a tweed princeton on the left with a dry signal, a brownface princeton on the right with the wet (delayed) signal. I recorded it with a Zoom H4 recorder which has two mics in stereo on it, but these days I would use two mics into an Apogee Duet, which can handle multiple mic inputs.

  • Oh sorry your reply is also usfule but i meant how do you get you stuff in stereo on youtube?

  • you load it up just as normal. in regular compression it's mono, if you make it HQ the original bitrate recording pops out, which in this case includes stereo.

  • Wow, I have two huge monitors, left and right, and it sounds SO good in HQ!!! This video has me contemplating buying one!

  • CSN

  • This isn't the stereo one! This is the mono Memory Man deluxe, or'

  • You are right, there is one called the Stereo Memory Man with Harazai, which is a surface mounted digital pedal. This one is the original analog Deluxe Memory Man, which has two outputs, one dry signal and one wet signal. Route each signal to two different amps and bingo, ping pong stereo delay! Add &fmt=18 to the end of the webaddress and hear the stereo response.

  • Cool!

Did you route the echo out (wet signal) with a jack adaptor (that splits it into left and right)?

  • No need, all Deluxe Memory Mans come stock from the factory with these jacks, named Direct Out and Echo Out. If you plug just into Echo Out, you can get both wet and dry signals in mono and mix the levels on the pedal. If you plug into Direct Out and Echo Out, bingo - stereo, one dry and one wet channel! I believe it's the same with the Stereo Memory Man, except those outputs are called "L/Mono" and "R."

  • But in this video you plugged just into Echo Out! So there isn't a stereo sound... or?

  • Ah that's just a pic - if it was a live vid you'd see the dual outputs.

  • SO SO SO BEAUTIFUL! I have one too

  • That was beautiful man...

  • sounds awesome in stereo

  • yeah too right...

    i want one

    im not a guitarist.

  • God, I'm gonna love this pedal. And indeed, you style is very soothing.

  • these are great pedals but I tell ya what the new t rex reptile might have it beat...

  • i love your awesome fingerpicking style!

  • That is some really sweet sounds. Love it! Might be getting one of these soon!!
