  • The Green Party are the only ones who know that our economic system is currently fundamentally, deeply, structurally flawed. It needs root and branch reform so it works for all of us, not for the rich alone. Forward to the zero growth/steady state economy.

  • Fighting for fair is fine..what about fighting for clean air again..its gone bad and will get worse...for very many reasons..especially in London..pregnancies,children and pensioners will suffer badly. You can do it..yes you can!

  • If Caroline Lucas wins what happens to her EU seat? Can she be both a MEP and MP at the same time?

  • She will resign her MEP seat. The next person on the Green Party's election list for the South East in 2009 was Keith Taylor, so Keith will become the MEP. Then, there will be a by-election in Brighton and Hove, as Keith is a Brighton councillor. (Scott - GP Press Office)

  • The countries with the largest (as percentage) of public sectors generally have the best standard of living as stated by the human development index (HDI). All the Skandinavian countries have better standards of living than the UK & the US.

    SOCIALISM DOES WORK!

  • @RedStarRiley I do agree with you, however you have to remember that the HDI doesn't necessarily cover all factors of a country's standard of living. Compared to the UK and the USA, Skandinavian countries' population is very small in comparison to the geographical size of each country - with Sweden having the highest population of just over 9 million and the other three not even peeking 6 million - which has a lot of implications in terms of quality of life within a country.

  • @RedStarRiley And because of mass third-world immigration, those Scandanavian countries are going down hill.

  • 1:55 i like heat and i like eat (food) but which is better there's only one way to find out VOTE!

  • It's a shame that majority who ever seem intrested to state there opinion have such low ideals, aspirations and hopes. It only proves the post-modern minds we are set in.

  • i would like to know what any of the 3 main partys stand for in the up comming election...one thing they and the british media dont seem very intrested in doing.....also dont show me films of you asking people what they want....its your job as politians to be doing this all the time..and now nearing an election be telling me what you feel is needed...and then i will deside wich political party i will vote for... constantly asking questions so they dont have to up hold any real views

  • Socialism DOESN'T WORK!

Too bad that the Green Party comes not only with admirable environmental goals, but also an economic naivety which makes them unelectable. You are proposing that the way to deal with a huge public debt is...to avoid spending cuts! It is madness!

Any intelligent individual knows that borrowing to maintain a lifestyle beyond one's means is a recipe for disaster! Why do you think that it's different for a country?

  • Put an end to our debt based economy.

Less centralized power. Less police state.

  • less police means more crime

  • @maccyjames64 Police are not the plug to crime. The cause of crime is in fundamental social issues.

You know something is terribly wrong in a society when people believe that more police are the answer. More focus needs to be put on the social factors pushing people to crime. Less police means more freedom. More police means the problem is being whitewashed.

  • i agree that there need to be other ways of lowering crime but people should no that if they break the law they will be caught. as police levels have gone up crime levels have gone down. we are now at an all time low in crime. if you want more freedom change the law but don't get rid of police.
