Can a spammy website affect the ranking of other sites hosted on the same server?

I'm not sure why a porn site properly managed should be considered as spammy. Is the term "spammy" simply associated to anything unacceptable by some people. I'll say site with loads of ads from affiliates like viagra,gambling etc are considered as spammy..

@somename99 I think the general answer was "no, except in very rare unique cases" such as the 26k spammy websites on one host. That's what I got from it anyways.
