I don't think that the song is over produced as such, more that people were used to and adored the original acoustic version. Usually we hear the studio version of a song first and are THEN blown away by the acoustic cover... it just happened the other way around for Emma. Either way the girl is ridiculously talented and her voice is simply beautiful.

preferd just the guitar, that was the appeal tbh its not that they are is drums more that they overwhelm the guitar, the idea of one girl and her guitar appeals more than extra effects simplness is an art of its own.

I half agree that the original is better without the drums and production cause it made her voice stand out more and the guitar but I think adding layers of production onto this song has also made it a better pop song and more single material for the radio etc.. so I have agree half disagree there, what we are all agreed on I think is she pisses on anything The X-Factor has produced and ever could cause the judges on that show wouldnt know talent if it came up and bit them on the arse!

Gotta say, this girl will go far! She has a great voice and writes great catchy songs that have meaning. I will admit I prefer the acoustic version rather than this but it works both ways as Focus is better on the album than the acoustic as it adds orchestral segments to the already great song!
