  • UPDATE @TheSilentG

You can EV train level 100 pokemon in Black and White

  • @TheFrostHydra sorry but thats impossible. how do u gain the EV points then at lvl 100? u cant lvl up to 101 :)

  • @ThaSilentG actually it isn't, in black and white you can gain EVs at 100. Im pretty sure you can in any pokemon game. I used an EV checker code and Ive been traiing my level 100s for months now, almost have a whole box full of my interchangable teams.

I think you just get EVs for killing pokes, it doesnt matter if they give exp or not, you get EVs no matter what.

  • @TheFrostHydra Sorry to proove u wrong, but HOW will u even get the evs then? the pokemons gain the EV points as soon as they leveled up. it will be displayed that way. At level 100 u get NO EXP which means u CANNOT level, and thats how u CANNOT EV train at lvl 100. the Ev points has to be counted. besides.. level 100 pokemon u say.. that means uve battled TONS of pokemons before and already gained all exp/EVS. Which is why its impossible to gain even more then the base u can already get.

  • @ThaSilentG you dont get EVs at level up. You get EVs from killing pokemon that can give them. Have you ever played B/W? And there are berries that lower EVs by 10 in each stat but make your pokes more friendly.

    Pomeg - HP

    Kelpsy - Attack

    Qualot - Defence

    Hondew - Sp Atk

    Grepa - Sp Atk

    Tamato - Speed

Every 4 EVs is 1 stat point.

You DO NOT HAVE TO LEVEL TO GET EVs IN BLACK AND WHITE.

Go read up on your EV training on Smogon.

  • @TheFrostHydra probably less friendly with those berries o.o not more friendly if u cut their EV attack states, and yeah ive played it but not ev trained on it. Oh well guess your right then =/ this ruins it bigtime for pokemon

  • @ThaSilentG its not all that bad, they probably only added it so that people who have level 100s dont have to re-breed to get EVs if they accidentally made their pokemon with dirty EVs (wrong EVs) or NO EVs (rare candy training). Like if someone accidentally put 4 EVs on a Milotics attack instead of Sp Def when they actually wanted Sp Def and now they only have like 248 Sp Def EVs and the extra 4 could've been used to raise Sp Def by 1 point.

  • @ThaSilentG /watch?v=jBeon0FELYo

Don't try to prove me wrong without searching it up to see if it's right. It just makes you look really stupid in the end. Instead of just taking the nice little update for what it is you had to start a random long ass conversation over something that takes like 15 seconds to search for. Good job kid.

  • in math , using order of operation, multipication goes before addititon

  • @chickennugget978 Sorry to dissapoint you, but it doesnt work in the formula for pokemon

in order to calulate the EVs you need, you need to count up the amounts of EV's you get first. Thats the pokemon and the item your holding

The multiplying goes when you beaten the pokemon and if u got pokerus. It activates later, not directly

  • When i ev train on ghastlys it gives me evs for sp. def and def too and i get like 2 extra levels for each. how do i train only sp. attk?

  • if you are doing the 10 pills how many gastlys will i need to kill

  • So if we kill 25 gastly were done in the evs for sp.attk rite.

  • Het is toch zo dat als je geen PKRS hebt dat het proces dan alleen langzamer gaat

  • @Greatj0shua aye, pKRS verhhoogd de EVs :)

  • wait,. why did my lucario's speed go to +5 and went down again.? it stayed at 1 or 2 and when i battled higher lvl pokemon, my stats increased by 2-3. at least my speed is the highest. but how come my speed boost dropped from 5 to 0? and i think i killed to many starlys

  • @powerangeryan So you have a Jar of quarters which somebody will add 1 quarter to every day. By the tenth day you will have 10 quarters(0 EVs). However on this day you decide to add more quarters yourself, you put 5 quarters in (120 EVs). The next day you don't do any work and just allow the extra quarter to be added. So on the 11th day you are at 17 total. (still 120 EVs). The +5 comes from the fact that you just added the extra EVs not that the stat should gain that much every level.

  • @barbarianl3t i don't understand. could u tell me how i should ev train? :)

  • @powerangeryan Basically what I tried to say is that you EV trained correctly. Its just that once you reach max EVs or stop training them the change per level isn't noticeable, but the end effect is. (well not noticeable means slightly higher / even). Also make sure the nature is positive for the stat you are trying to EV train, it makes a large difference. Besides this I believe the video is quite a good guide. Try pokemon online for a little and it should make more sense.

  • @barbarianl3t hmm...but i think i over trained(have too many ev's cos i fought starlys and didn't bother to keep count)

  • the worst part of my ev training was the battle points coz it takes litteratly forever to get one item

  • Are the ones with no effect the best nature?

  • i was going to enter my elec trive in a tournament but when he was on lv 49 i was ev trining sp def and he only got 3! will this hurt his chance of dominating in the tournament?

  • @katanabakubrian yep it will be :x

    cuzzzz

u need FRESH breeded or caught pokemons

    and ev train those directly

  • hey does 4 evs = 1 stat point?I wonder bacause i heard this somewhwere

  • @katanabakubrian Aye, its said in the vid:)

  • does coloured mean better?

  • hey can you please answer this question? Can you do ev training without the poke virus?

  • @XDipwnu. Pokerus is not a neccessity. If u dont have it u will simply have to beat 50 gasltys rather than 25

  • wat pokemon do u ev train for atk

  • What is the song that you used at 0:00 to around 5:00?

  • do i have to keep battling like 30 pokemon each time i want to level up?

  • My friend uses the counter app on his poketch to count his EVs

  • What does ev training do exactly

  • @rikkilucario7 Makes ur pokemon stronger then you have ingame

like.. u train pokemon such as your starter

    all the way to 100

    on gyms andtrainers

it wont be as powerfull as it can be

with ev training it will max its stats

    and more powerfull

  • @ThaSilentG thank you

  • How do you get pokerus?

  • @harrisonmeads luck.

  • u really gotta kill 15 gastlys cuz when u give the 10 protin thats already 100 evs and u need to get the 152 evs

  • i have wanted to know this for the longest do you still get allot of ev for a pokemon that cured of the virus.

  • @Darksider009 effect is still there, just cant spread it anymore

  • als je geen pokérus heb moet je dan gwn 50 gastly's verslaan?

  • @samz0 hmmm nee, dan word het heeeel anders en erg langdradig, beter zoeken naar 1tje =)

  • And how would you go about Ev training a Pokemon from Lv 1?

  • i have previously defeated, will this effect the Ev gain if its over 25?

  • You, Sir, are actually my God right now, Ive been trying to learn Ev training for agers and this has pretty much set me straight. There are however a few things I dont quite understand ( sorry if I seem like a complete noob when I ask these questions) Okay, say if you wanted to max out speed by battling magicarp, can you ONLY defeat 25 (+the one without the item) in the whole training? To clarify, i have a Gengar Lv 44, timid nature with pkrus and a pwr anklet, but im not sure how many magicarp

  • Comment removed

  • so the power item while fighting a gastly will give me 5 or 4 evs? the video said 4 but the math says 5

  • I want to Resett my EV points at my Politoed.. but the girl in sunyshore city only says "Oh? Your Politoed... It needs to work a little harder. if it does, I`ll give your pokemon something nice." Why does it not resett my EV points? Plise Help :(

  • @ingo007 it doesnt reset lol XD

u cant reset EV's like that

she only shows u if u FULLY ev trained ur pokemons

  • Oh ok i see thank u

  • Hi everyone, I have an easier way to get pokerus (you need action replay)

    Here's the code:

    12069C5E 00004288

    94000130 FEFF0000

    12069C5E 00004280

    D2000000 00000000

To activate it you have to encounter a wild pokemon, beat it and after when the screen goes black you hold the R button. Then the 2nd pokemon in your party (or more) will have pokerus! This worked for me so hopefully it'll work for you guys!

  • i didnt understand ev training,no good guides at all,but this one was refreshing,i now atleast know how to start and stuff

  • evan if the big stat gain doesnt happen till later

Will you pokemon have to be lvl 100 before it gets it or does the big stat gain just happen when it maxes its EV's In that stat?

  • Wait... Does your big stsat gain happen when you max the ev stat or does it come over time in chunks

  • 1+4x2 should be 5x2 because the order is multiplication then add or (4+1)x2

  • i wish my ev training results were 92+

  • i luckily got naive sneasel from egg, wasnt even planning to get good IV's :D

  • What happens once I battle the 25 Gastlies? Do I rare candy it?

  • How do i know how many ev's i've already used if i didn't count them ?? Do i just continue my training like an idiot and wait for my pokemon to get to level 100???

  • So pretty much I cant ev train what I played the game with, and I'll have to egg them over and start from scratch?

  • lol you didn't catch that grumpig, he gets double exp

  • do you have to ev train every lvl or it it a one time thing

  • thx..that really helped

If you wouldn't mind coould you do a tutorial on pokerus

  • so if the max is 510

you can max out 2 stats fully (252 each)?

then have a few left over for 3rd stat?

  • after i ev train should give it a bunch of rare candies or train it normally

  • train normaly. rare candeys level up fast but won't geve you the added stats from ev's. but if you max out on ev's then go ahead and use all the rare candys you want cause it won't make a differance. a easy waty to check if your maked out is to try and use a iron or HP up or any of the stat boosters, it would use the one form the stat you are ev training. if it works then keep ev training if not then you are maxed out and can level up with rare candys with out a worry.

  • @SFCcreator you still get ev stats with rarecandys

  • what happens if you get to many eve's?

  • if you battle a gastly and you have the power lens and pokerus and bold nature you get 4 ev right

  • no you get 10. 1 for gastly 4 from the power lens and then double that with pokerus to get 10

  • hahaha man i love your accent where are you from...btw you really helped me out! we should battle or trade sometime whats your friend code PM it

  • I kind of understand it... so I take it you NEED rare candies for this to work otherwise it will ruin the process? And what happens if you go just over the 252 limit? I do kinda get it but I guess it's a process of seeing it first to believe it on my own cartridge lol. I'll have a shot with a higher level pokemon first just to see it and then try it with a lower level one.

  • i want to ev train a blaziken n i have a lv. 1 torchic. do i evovle my torchic into a blaziken before i ev train it or do i ev train it when its a torchic?

  • is it ok to start ev training on lv 1 and if i do start at level 1 when i level it up by switching my weaker pokemon for a higher one will i still get the ev's?if i start at level 1 and keep switching to a higher pokemon and i beat 5 bidoofs with my higher pokemon will i still get the ev's?

  • Dude u hav cleared up everything 4 me, amazing vid

  • no problem :)

  • You are the best!

  • why cant we go to 255 in 1 stat???

  • Do you actually NEED to have pokerus? 'Cause i cant be bothered trying to get it.

  • its smarter to get it

  • You don't NEED Pokerus but just like SilentG said its better to have it because increases the EVs even higher.

  • for everyone asking questions....if you watched saw the WHOLE guide...there is no need to ask questions... :S

    great guide~

  • how do u get pokeerus

  • can u ev train lv 100s

  • no cos u cant level them up

  • can u ev train legendaries

  • You can ev train any pokemon

  • omg i dont get this V.V im ev training my charmander i gave it vitimans and it has its brace and it has pkrs but im only getting +2 per stat.. can someone help?

  • when you ev train don't let it level up or this will not work after you have done ev training give your charmander a rare candy and it's stat boost in sp attack will be very high

  • It doesn't have to be exactly 252 does it? The EV for that stat doesn't rise any higher but does it waste the total 510 EV?

  • Where's a good place to EV Speed for a Yanmega?

  • um, Gyarados raises not only attack but also speed, (2 attack/1 speed)

  • no it only gives attack i have guide go to serebii

  • i think when he means a pokemon that hasnt been trained he means a wild pokemon. so he catches these pokemon or gets them via wifi (point is he gets them) and EV trains them from there.... thats just what i think when it comes to the terms "not trained" and what not.

  • Does the order of operations apply to the EV math?

Cause if it doubles and then adds 4 than it would be 6...not 10.

  • i,m doing allmost the same only i battle 16 and give 10 minirals i think you don't give mins!

  • Nevermind. Macho Brace = x2; Power item = +4.

  • Isn't macho brace +4 on all stats, or does it cause less of the EV effect than the power belt items?

  • Guys, look up how to EV train if you don't understand. Actually, if you're not going to battle at the Battle Frontier or on WiFi, there's no point in even EV training anyways.

  • yea if you dont have pokerus dont worry get the items and batle 50 of those pokemon its the same out come

  • "Ill beat up some pokemons"

    lol. priceless

  • Looolz :P

  • yea. i dont get it. bc ur grumpig is already a lvl. 33...well now its its a 34 i guess. but anyway, yea.

  • i dont understand. y cant u train a pokemon u've already trained? thats just dumb.

  • because the pokemon you already trained already defeated random pokemons, so that means he already have random Evs in pretty much any stats, the most important in Ev training is to have a non trained pokemon to be able to distribute the Ev in pretty much any stats you want ;)

  • you find power items in the battle tower, you buy them with battle points

  • where do you find the power stuff

  • also btw I have a Level 36 Shiny Charizard with PokeRus from a Cherish ball I wuld liek to trade for a gewd pokeman. PM ME =D

  • I like the song. Anyone know the artist/name?

  • stats on my gardevoir not sure if the EV training wrked but here goes

    Gardevoir lvl 100:

    stats

    hp:316

    Attack:220

    Defence:201

    Sp. Atk: 383

    Sp. Def:281

Speed :215 nature: Rash i that good?

  • uhh, I'm not clear

so, if I wanted to level a crobat, ( I already have one 52 ) would I try to catch a jolly zubat/golbat and put power anklet on it? and kill more zubats lol

  • Catch OR breed a jolly zubat, can be done by using a male golbat/crobat/zubat breed with jolly ditto holding an everstone that way its 50/50 that you get a jolly one.

  • LucarioZeroX, why is EV training not recomended when you have already trained it. Do you recieve ANY effort values if the pokemon you are trying to EV train has recieved exp. points

  • The reason why is because, you have given it EVs already.

Whilst going through the game, you probably want your Pokemon at a high level, right?

Well, this is why you should never EV train a pokemon that has already gained experience, as the EVs have already been spread out.

Plus, you just get the pokemon during the game.

You just want to get one, and not care how it does. You don't look for natures, or IVs.

This is why you always EV train pokemon without training.

  • what are ivs? how do u put them on the stat u want?

  • is it alrite if i ev train my lvl 55 electivire?

  • i just get +3 special att each lv -.-'

  • so why cant i give a stat 255 ev

  • You can, but it wastes 3 EVs that you could have put somewhere else.

  • I was fighting Gastlies to get sp. atk for my spinarak, i fed it all 10 vitamins for sp. atk and fought 6 gastlies with a power lens and it level uped.

The problem is, i only got +3 sp. atk!?!

10 vitamins and 6 gastlies with the lenses thats 100 + 30 = 130 which should be about +32 sp. atk, right?!?

  • One question, when do I know when I'm done with Ev training, because I'm training my Luxray in Attack, and he has Naughty nature(+ Attack - Sp. Def) [PLEASE ANSWER].

  • could u EV train in the same stats 2 times or only 1 time

  • dude your a boy why are you using dawn. you should be using lucas ( the boy)

  • the guy looks gay ;)

  • amazing video man now i can EV train my special attack Bagon

  • so, can you only use (ex.) iron 10 times max. ever or 10 times max. each lv?

  • Thank dude, I have a waaaaay better understanding of EV training now =D

  • i got pokerus twice, and was careless and lost it both times.

  • why shouldent i get 255 evs in 1 stat?

  • If you get 252 in one stat and 252 in another, then you can get 4 in a third. :)

  • 255 isnt divisible by 4, but 252 is.

  • because 252 is the maximum

  • thnx that really helped! :D

  • so what if you encounter another pokemon then the one you want, can you just run away and it wont effect your ev training?

  • ive beat like 100 gastly but my shiny charizard inly gets 3 exp for sp attack

  • When im ev training i have every thing i need and i do every thing the right way its just that i always kill more then 25 because i dont have any rare candys and it comes out like +11

what do i need to do to fix it

  • What level are you training at?

  • Are u good at EV training? If u are can u answer me this question? Ok so i was training my Gabite which is lv28 on speed by fight magikarps at eterna city.I don't hav any rare candys so i jus keep on fighting but then in the end when i lv up,My speed only increased by 8 points and i was like "What the hell?!?!?" So i was hoping that u can answer,I'll subscribe to u if u can. Thx.

  • Okay. The reason why it only went up 8 is because your Gabite is such a low level. An example of the growth of high levels to low levels:

Pokemon in the range of LV1-49: 8 EV points per 1 stat point gain.

Pokemon in the range of LV50-99: 4 EV points per 1 stat point gain.

As you can see, pokemon at a lower level require you to give it more EVs in order to raise the stat by a lot. If you did the training at LV60 or so, it would look higher. Even though it's lower, it will be higher soon.

  • I see,so if my Gabite is lv40 above,my ev stats will go higher,Thx.

  • No problem.

  • LucarioZeroX, if i EV train my pokemon at level 25 and i get all of its EVs in sp. atk it will only get about 31 stat points (34 with a good nature).

Will i get the other 31 -34 points when i reach level 50, or are they lost? Should i wait till level 50 to EV train?

  • Not necessarily.

When you EV train, you don't gain the stat points all automatically (unless you are training at a REALLY high level).

When you get it to LV100, then you will see a difference, if if you don't see it soon.

  • Thanks man, i finally understand EV training!

i kept getting only like +4 every time i level up, i thought i wasnt training correctly

Thanks a ton bro, now im off to make my ultimate poison team, lol

  • No problem, whatsoever.

If you have any questions, go to this channel:

    ShayminUser001.

That is my main PKMN account. I was also thinking of making a poison team, but I wasn't sure.

  • Comment removed

  • It will raise more when you lvl it up.

  • you get pokerus either from the wifi or from pokemon in the wild (u kill or catch) . in the wild u have very low chances to find pokerus . so low as 1/3 of finding a shiny pokemon !

  • how do you get pkrs

  • great vid...hey does it take too much time to ev train without pokerus?

  • well, if pokerus doubles ev, then you would assume twice as long

  • now my luxray only gains 3 in thats stat so im gonna train him in speed now

  • my highest gain is 19 in attack for my luxray i beat like 30 snubulls

gastlys never work for me i dont know why but every other thing works except gastly

  • o and srry about my typing XD

  • but i think u shoild star ev traing your pokemon at lv 1 but u can still ev trqin them but 4 some reason u cant gave your pokemon vitemans after a ceratian lv

  • i thinked my evd traing work my glaceon is lv 77 and its spec attck is 267

  • can someone answer my question?? my question is does bold nature give +atk and +def?

  • Im 99.9 percent sure its +def and -atk.

  • Wait, so the power item gives +4 evs? I'm rather confused about that, as I thought it doubled it?

  • so i just kill 25 of a certain pokemon with my power item and pokerus on then kill the same pokemon with no power item then level my pokemon normally then im done ev training?

  • btw, do you have to do this for every level?

  • am ev traing a lvl 1 naughty larvitar and i was wondering what pokemon should i keep battling?

  • wait, i dont understand, is i battle 25 gastlies with pokerus, etc, and i lvl up in the elite 4, do my pokemon still get more sp att points?

  • does give bold attack+ and def+???

  • how do you start to ev train lvl 1 pokemon?

  • how many ghastly will i have to kill if i dont have pokerus but i have the power lens?

  • PLZ!! ANSWER!!! do i have to get 255 every time i level up or jus one time in the leveling of the pokemon ...if its onnce every level then do i have to beat weak pokemon that give me low exp to increase the time needed so i can get more ev's

  • no as long as u beat that pokemon 25 times it doesent matter if u lvl up durin the ev trainin

  • I have a question:

When you level up do your EVs go back to zero?

Also, how do you keep pokerus on your pokemon forever?

  • You can use a action reply pokemon that has pokerus, that will never go away.

  • or instead of hacking, you can put your pokémon in the PC, when it's in the PC Pokérus won't go away.

Also, EVs don't go to 0 when you level up, in fact, only a small number of EVs are counted per level, so at lv.100 you would eventually have all the EVs.

  • you dont keep it unless im guessing you use a/r

  • does macho brace give 4 points to tell me pleasE!! im w8ting

  • no macho brace doubles the amount of evs like pokerus example you beat 1 gastly 1 ev plus pokerus 2 evs plus macho brace 4 evs instead of using the power item and then you get more 1 ev plus power item 4 evs plus pokerus 10 evs!!! so if you beat 250 and one without item you get 252

  • It doubles the evs

  • Qiostion!!!??? does macho brace works to??? another qiostion one have my pokemon has pokerus i wanna spread most my pokerus pokemon fight or that pokemon i wanna ev for pokerus??
