WOW, thats a really nice bike...i would never thought those colours would go together... dont like the spokes or the sloping down tube but thats just personal tastes... merry christmas everyone.
H, the spokes must be just 3mm longer. Than you can drill them 2 times. The wheel is more strong, than. I´ve made it first time in 1995 on mtb´s. And learnt it, from a famous mechanics in germany.
could someone explain to me what the term lug bike means? i know what people generally call a 'lug' but how is it relevant in this bikes construction?

Look again. It is NOT Crow's Foot.
Either you've been biking without a helmet too much, or you've gone senile. Crows Foot is just a lacing pattern, these spokes are bizarre, they are wrapped around one another. I've never seen that spoke pattern, and it's impractical anyhow but I have to admit, it sure looks cool.
so ugly

Yes very nice bike, it would look so much better if it were a bit bigger ie. no sloping top tube.

i laced my wheel like that a month ago, no spoke breaks, just an occasional creak. truing is just as easy as a standard laced wheel
but i wouldnt try it on my back wheel :/

That's a crazy ass spoke pattern. I've never seen anything like it before, and it seems impossible to replace or fix.

i've heard it calls snowflake or even "twisty-style". sorry you're so heated about the naming of spoke patterns though.
