@ThRiddleD - Well, since commentators are all tweeting about Nail in a Columbus uniform, I'd have to say that trade didn't occur. And if it did, a lot of people are forgetting.
He win, Yakupov first Cook second he win. 4000 people cheer yellow and black jerseys, but he win. you can ask like a hundred questions but it doesnt matter he win, so , see ya next time
he'll play good for 2 years, score some goals, get tired and used up and fail for the rest of his career. just like every other russian. they cant handle the nhl.
@Dolmaner as much as that seems to be the case for some, its also the case for players from all countries ... there were just a lot of highly touted russians that went back to the khl to play at home for more money tax free ... i'd do it too
Unless something crazy happens, he will be a Columbus Bluejacket. The part was that he takes about 2 strides from the top of the far circle and then glides the whole way to hit him.
@MrPlowProductions - After getting Player of the Week to go with everything else, it's a lock. As long as he doesn't get hurt badly he's a shoo-in for first pick. Did you know some NHL teams have their own "Fail for Nail" campaigns going on? Ottawa seems to be one of them.
@MrPlowProductions Tough to say. I get the privilege of watching him every home game of the year, as well as some road games. He has some things to work out, such as his defense. He seemed more impressive last year, but he didn't have all the attention that he gets this year. I still think Galchenyuk will be the better of the two moving forward.
@Andragon90 - I've also heard this from multiple scouts. It will be interesting to see someday, and the first exploration of that comes next season when Galchenyuk tries again to have a draft year (undoubtably with missing most of the season he'll pull out).
but if he came to the canucks (i know its impossible) It would be awesome like pavel bure
But i think the caps have a chance they need colorado to tank to at least bottom 5 then trade colorado and their pick and maybe something else to get number 1
@pistolpete0500 - I already posted at the Dallas Fan forums that if they want Yakupov to go with Ritchie, also of the Sting, they better make sure they are dead last. Or otherwise somehow acquire that first pick by trading seven other picks. He'll be golden in the NHL, that's for sure.
@Chandy155 - What's especially cool is that he has the best attitude you could expect of a player. When asked about his chances to get drafted, he says none of that matters. Awards he wins do not matter. His own scoring stats do not matter (goals, assists). Nothing matters to him more than his team winning as a team, and he making his contribution to that team. Those are the things a #1 draft pick says. I have no doubt he'll be the top pick for June 2012 and I for once will be watching.
@artoah - It still broke, it still looks cool when it happens, and that's what I'm trying to show - the cool factor. It's possible to shatter glass by shooting the puck, too; does that mean the glass in those cases is weak, or the speed of the shot basically a bullet?
BTW, I did remove the word "powerful" from my description.
Didnt flyers get first round draft pick and third from cbj? Haha
