Well I was able to get the songs from itunes onto my droid-x in the new folder I made titled 'ringtones'. Problem is, those songs don't show up in the actual ringtones section or notification section. The ringtone selection still only shows the crappy ringtones that were already loaded when the phone shipped, same with the notification tones. How do I move the songs from the folder I made into the actual ringtone selection page?

I don't have the old motorola droid I have droid 2 motorola and I don't see the same setting as what you have. I followed ur step. However the folder i created and added music to. When I unplug the usb and tracked the file with the music. It's not showing up on the ringtones setting.It's just showing the file and it's not giving me options on what to do with the songs other than plany,delete and things like that. Can you help me out ?

i have the droid 2 aswell and i tried it and it worked. i used myxer.com to upload my song.....then i cut it to my liking......then instead of sending it to my phone and gettin charged i downloaded it to my PC and used the usb cable and this method to put it as a ringtone. it worked. try it!

I tried to convert a movie I downloaded from the iTunes store, but the converter you posted wouldn't convert it because it was encrypted. Is it safe to download the decrypter to decrypt the movie in order to be able to put it onto my Droid?

there is a program in the android marketplace called ringdroid that will let u customize songs in ur music playlist and save them as ringtones....its free and its wat i use and it works great!

@topher0387 ...the way i have always done them is with a program called "AUDACITY" its a free program that lets you edit music files. all you have to do is run the program, search for the file edit out what you dont want and save it, then pass it to your phone. it might seem complicated at first but its not, its a GREAT program to edit the files. i use to make them for my LG dare, Bberry Storm and now the Droid.

Hey, im thinking of getting a DROID, but I want to use it to replace my ipod and cell... How is the music quality on it and is it a reasonable choice to use as a music player too?

quality is as good as the quality of the song and your headphones, its easy to brows through by song, artist, alum, etc. it has a 3.5mm headphone jack so you can use almost any type of head\phones. as for the external speaker, its descent for a cell speaker. hope that helps
