  • I worked for a Dodge dealership selling them when they were new - awesome machines. One arrived with 33kms (20 miles) on the clock and no tread at all on one rear tire - no posi (yeehah!) .

    To stop the black exhaust spray, dealerships often drilled a 1/8" hole in the lowest point of the exhaust (just before it turns up the back of the cab. It allows the condensation to drain, and is after the muffler (which is under the cab), so it doesn't affect the exhaust sound.

  • Love the truck !! was an original owner of a 78 lil red. miss it alot... the stacks suppose to point straight back though...again love the truck..never get rid of it !

  • You are correct....I pointed them out to reduce the exhause spray that I was getting on the rear fenders during warm-up.
