FUERTEVENTURA - Paradise Island

I've been there 9 times and I still don't like it.

The sand gets eveywhere, I've even put my sandwiches in a tupperware box but the sand still gets in.

I'm going again in Febraury........hope I like it this time, I'll be using clingfilm.

We were in Corralejo and just outside the town has got to be one of the most lovely beaches in the world. There were a few jellyfish near town, but just outside i didn't see any. I went in the sea on two days :) 1st day it was great as the wind wasn't too high, next day when i got out it was a little cool from a strong wind. The colours of the sea and the beach are fantastic though. And according to the signs around the place it was 21-27 degrees C. Not bad for January ;)

@Mrkjdavies27 its a fairly quiet part of the island its very near the airport but lovely it was called colete de fuste

theres bars and restraunts but it is low key theres a harbour down the main road with some nice seafood restraunts aug is the hottest month ive been it got to 32c

I was born and raised there! Believe me guys, there is nothing on earth that can compare with childhood in that island. And im talking about 20 years ago, way before the hotel and tourist craze began. You could ride your bicycle almost anywhere and spend the day on the beach picking up mussels that we would cook right then and there. THOSE were the days :-)

I'm not agree, Fuerteventura has beautiful landscape but there's too much wind!!! Infact it's called the wind's Island and no more to Fuerteventura, i prefer the hotter Gran Canaria!!!!!

@333gabrielle hi,i think it's pronounced cora-lecko been here 3 times and were goin back to costa caleta which is a much nicer resort,but corralejo has lovely beach dunes etc,were gonna hire car this year and tour island

I would want to visit the island some day but the problem is that i also wanna see Las Palmas when i go to Fuerteventura but of some idiotic reason the ferry that goes from Fuerteventura (Morro Jable) to Las Palmas is clearly made just for the people in Las Palmas cus it departs Las Palmas in the morning and returns back at evening, so that people from LAS PALMAS can enjoy the whole day in Fuerteventura and then get back at evening, but from Fuerteventura you only get to Las Palmas by evening!

@OsteinTT I'm portuguese, but i speak a little english, just for you, fuerteventura is one of the canarian islands, I was there threee times. Corralejo is in the north of the island, and here you can see lanzarote island. the beaches have a beautiful colour, green, blue ... the weather is very good all the year, of course that in july, august and september is more hot. if you rent a car is the better way visit the island, i've done it.
