  • I have 2008 a Elantra and I like it very much. Once I hit 100,000 (only at 43,000 now) and the powertrain warranty is up, I will trade it in for another Elantra

  • So far the only thing that does bother me about this car majorly is the paint does chip easily. Also can see lots of scratches. But oh well....

  • I have a 2010 and it looks almost identical except the dash doesn't display the temp gauge. Disappointing but oh well. Hopefully the dummy light will come on in time if it overheats. Love the car though otherwise. Why did you get rid of it?

  • @99Ellynn Long story. It was a bad luck car for me so I got rid of it.

  • @youtoobe169 Bad luck as in it was bad mechanically? Or as in you had bad luck driving it because you got into accidents or got tickets?

  • @99Ellynn It was good mechanically, only issue was an out of balance tire covered under warranty. A tree branch fell on it, my friend's daughter tried to start it when it was already running, I picked up a large nail with one of the tires (not related to above), I spilled a gallon of water in it accidentally, I was washing it one day and somehow managed to chip up the paint with the hose, and the list goes on. I was like, I need to get rid of this car!

  • i love elantra man, this is my second one since 2005, i drove 2004 elantra for 5 years and put 90k miles on it and never had a major problems, theyre so underrated, good luck with ur hyunday man

  • @KulinBan777 Don't have it any more but it was a nice car!

  • 2008 model is a legendery one to hyundai elantra

  • @montaga3at interesting, this came through in a different language in my email.

  • =eoVkT8qwlzc

  • @victoor2008 Sorry, I don't understand. Have a nice day!

  • Wow, at the dealer here, they are very generous lol. They give you a big whoop off, like CFC, 4500 and they gave us another 4500 off, lol.

Nice cars, I wonder how you get them to fit in your driveway and your credit lol..

  • @prt1667 How much did you pay for your Elantra and how much was the sticker? And I am a bit overextended on the credit thing but I love my cars lol

  • My uncle bought my dad a Santa Fe, and I think he said he got like about 8 grand off, I wasn't really listening to him. But my cousins said they got about 9 grand off.

  • hope you don,t wreak it they are shity cars/ kia,s 2

  • @dimebag699 And what do you base your findings on? Certainly you havent read any of the consumer magazines lately or actually driven one.

  • @youtoobe169 he has obviously neve rheard of the insurance institute for highway safety, they give the elantra a good rating for front crash protection, that is the highest you can get, and all hyundais today get a good for front except for a few certain ones and even then its an acceptable the second highest rating.

  • @Capthunter95 Actually I think IIHS doesn't give it good ratings for rear crashes.

  • thats a cool car

  • i own a 2008 elantra se and i really like it i even put a blue neon light and a system in it makes it pretty cool, and they make cool body kits for it also.

  • They are very good cars

  • budget 4x4 :S ...

only does so much for ur "street cred"

  • this car is mad roomy

  • Congatulations!! WOW!! I bought an Accent just a few months ago and I luv it! The display lights in the Accent are green and red and look great. But when I look at the blue and red of your Elantra, I am just mezmorized.

    Great choice!! Have fun!!

  • Awesome! I've been trying to find a video that shows the Elantra's blue lights and I really like the way they look. I've been looking for something to replace my rickety '99 Chevy Cavalier and the Elantra SE just might be the one.

  • I bought it for $13488 and sticker was $17160. I would imagine you could get a better deal now considering the economy.

  • Yeah that was one of the things that sold me on the car

  • We got the elantra 08 and it has surpassed expectations. We added leather and sunroof and its been soooo good that i am trading in my old car (not the elantra)for a sonata.

  • The Elantra SE really is an amazing car for the money. Before you buy the Sonata, take a long test drive - I found the seats to be uncomfortable on my back in the Sonata, but that was my only gripe with that car.

  • i love your car dude xD :P i have a veracruz for college and it is killing me extracting the last cent of my pocket ... but I love hyundai :D i want your carrrrrrrrrr ... xD i would like to have an ELANTRA SE "HIBRID" hahahah

  • Veracrus are sweet, but I bet it's thirsty! I'd like to have one in Diesel! lol

  • oh of course, ANOTHER new car, cant say im surprised!!!!

  • The GLS is twitchy on highways, but the SE is awesome, especially with the ESP and 16" rims. Very solid, stable and comfortable.

  • How much room does it have in the back seat? Is there enough room for a backwards facing baby seat? My son is still in a backwards baby seat.

  • It's pretty roomy, I can sit back there straight up comfortably. You know, it's technically considered a midsize car dur to interior volume. You should be fine with the child seats.

  • I did it! Traded the wifes exploder in on an 08 gls. The dealer put on most everything the se has. Great price, great miledge and a damned good stereo. I am very happy with the car!! This is comming from a chevy and toyota guy.

  • congrats! excellent choice, I am very happy with mine. It's a lot of car for the money.

  • I was considering the ford focus ses with sync, But i may grab one of these. Just a better looking car and better warranty. HMMMMMmmm.

  • I love it, and it gets much better gas mileage than the window sticker says.

  • i like my 2000 the newer ones are much nicer looking

  • thats actually quite nice. hows the built quality on the interior?

  • It's actually very good. The seats and interior bits are all made of higher than expected quality materials. No rattles or squeaks either.

  • my brother got the elantra gls with sunroof. he wanted the se but ended up with the gls. it's a nice looking car and very comfortable to ride in.

  • i love that interior!! definatly better looking than those ford focus or dodge neons or any domestic compacts, even looks better than the corollas or sentras!

  • yeah those blue lights are awesome

  • I am thinking to get 2008 elantra GLS sport model with automatic transmission.

  • It's a great car, especially on long trips. Very comfortable and definitely does better than the mileage posted on the window sticker!

  • Wow I did not know Elantra is good at long trips also. Thanks for the information!

  • I ahve the 2008 limited santa fe AWD

  • yours has the blue lights on the interior doesnt it?

  • Yeah, every storage I open has blue lights. And there are blue light int he cup holders

  • Woo Hoo, that's awesome. I pick up my new one on Monday. :D

  • Did you get a GLS or SE?

  • I got the GLS, loaded -- was a little less expensive than the SE and has the options I want. :)

  • And I just posted a video response of me with mine. :)

  • Sweet interior. Wow, I gotta luv the blue. It looks so expensive. I thought it was an audi or something. hmmm...now you got me thinking about taking a look at one. I mean, who needs a full size car like an overpriced accord or camry. good job, hyundai!

  • Yes the blue interior is great. It's an amazing car for the price, especially with all the safety features like ESC on the SE. And it's actually fun to drive! I got it for $13588, sticker was $17160.

  • how did you get it fore 13000?

  • 2000 rebate plus a very large dealer that can afford to lose a little money on one car and get the kickback on the 60 other elantras they sold that month

  • Oops, my bad, I thought it was a Sonata. I wish Youtube gave an option for deleting your own posts....Anyway, nice looking car.

  • lol dont worry about it. and thanks. I like it quite a bit. its quieter than my Benz

  • who doesn't know about cars?

  • Poor Ivanovic hasn't test driven an Elantra yet.

  • That's a 2008? It looks like it has the new interior of the 2009. Good for you not being suckered into a brainless Camry.
