  • @bxxder2008 Yes, ear wax can be protective. If it is not causing you any problems, it can be left alone.

Olive oil is still a popular choice for several reasons 1) Readily available at low cost without needing to see a doctor 2) Less side effects then Bicarbonate drops, which can irritate your ear 3) Even if use it and do not have wax, it helps act as a moisturiser to prevent itchy, dry skin in your ear. However if you do not see any improvement after using olive oil for several days, then you should see your doctor to consider further treatment options.
