Carnage and Venom weren't going to appear in the 4th installment. Instead, Lizard and Vulture, along with Felicia Hardy becoming his partner known as The Vulturess. And 5th was planned to have Shocker and Hydro Man, then 6th either having Felicia becoming Black Cat and The Scarlet Spider (Ben Reilly) taking place of Parker because losing his powers temporarily again, or having a return of The Lizard and continuing Shocker, and having Felicia turn to Black Cat.

Spider-man 3 was pure shit. Ruined Sandman and, even worse, ruined Venom. Makes the whole trilogy seem pretty bad in retrospect. They ruined Doc Ock in the 2nd one too even tho Molina did a pretty good job playing him. The only villain they got close was Green Goblin. Mary Jane was a huge pussy in all three movies and Kirsten Dunst was just the wrong choice for the character. Actually most of the parts are poorly cast except for William Defoe, Alfred Molina, Rosemary Harris and Dylan Baker.

@Mike32587 you can't expect movies to be strictly based on the comics these days. superheroes have changed personalities over the decades anyway, movies are just like some new guy's take on the character and there's no reason we can't enjoy that. Doc ock and sandman were great characters regardless of whether or not they fit the comics. Venom was total horse shit yes. topher grace showed us the most laughably bad acting performance since Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker.

Well, it's been confirmed that the 4th movie is cancelled, but they are going to redo everything to a new movie with a whole new cast of people and material. The only thing we know is that it will be a young spider-man probably in the age 15-16. The role as spider-man is going to be played by Andrew Garfield.

I wonder if at the end of the movie, the Carnage symbiont somehow makes it onto the body of Doc Ock and become Monster Ock. It sounds cool, but I know that this too is unlikely.
