Amy... your voice was without a doubt unique.. a slight framed lady with an enormous talent.. ok ....so it didnt go smoothly ..but whose life does? We choose our paths in life and they arent always the right ones..those who choose to mock and scorn you will NEVER have what you had.. they are talentless simple minded and ignorant folk..rest well.. you have left us stars in a world of darkness....
I've never commented on a video before but I believe I need to here. For anyone that says bad things about Amy Winehouse..everyone has their opinions. I don't believe it's right though to go on her video and say rude things..what sense does that make? Until someone has listened--not heard-- listened to all her music..that is when one will understand her and her talent. For some people, her music is too personal, deep and heartfelt to understand. She is not pop; she is true singing/writing talent
@tricitareirei1 My parents used to say " If you can't say something nice about someone, say nothing" That has always stuck in my mind. I don't know much about Amy, only what I've read in the papers. But all I will say is she had a hard life and may she "Rest In Peace"
@mollymitch1 you're parents were obviously idiots. You say what you mean, not what is PC or acceptable. Or, just stay the in the flock with the rest of the sheeple.
@oldnetfag By the way idiot, what was so offensive to YOU about my comment anyway? It sounds to me like you'd be the type to appeal the result of a chook raffle.
this video does not celebrate the singing of the troll-the original twat!!! respect is due this woman could sing and sing bloody well - YOU Mr Troll can not - mentionin zep and floyd is fine they are greats but their careers span over 25 years
@theoriginalbillholt Your a clever one eh? Let me tell you, coming from someone who has done the research, Amy was something so special. You clearly haven't listened to her albums and know nothing about her music or in fact anyone who came before and influenced her.... she is right up there with all the greats. I greatly love and miss her supreme talent.
Without sarcasm I say that, while I don't herald her as a musical giant, she was far better than Lil' Wayne. After watching him abuse a guitar like a retarded ten-year-old and then hearing a woman gush,"That dude got tal-ennnt!", I worry about the future of humankind. I like 'Valerie', 'Back To Black' and a couple of others. I don't outright dislike Amy, but I have a feeling that a quarter-century from now she'll be '"Amy Who?" Her style seemed like an affectation that A&R pros took to the bank.
@theoriginalbillholt Lil' Wayne? haha...Look. I see you think you know more about music than Amy's fans. Listen. I love Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Dire straits and a lot of other old rock bands. Amy is the only one thing I respect in todays music. Seriously. I admit that her career was too short. But I believe she had enough charm to be involved in a list of solid artists.
I actually like some of her stuff, but seriously -- personal taste aside -- "Amazing, so amazing"? She was a marginal 'talent' at best and a train wreck to say the least. Here, she sounds like someone's drunken aunt who grabbed the microphone near the end of the wedding reception. Amy was unique. I give her due respect, especially if she wrote her own material. I don't know enough about the extent of her abilities. Still, as Peter Steele of Type-O said, "Don't mistake lack of talent for genius."
@theoriginalbillholt ~ U don't know very much re: Amy, yet it doesn't bother U 2 speak like someone who,did,infact follow her career. UR correct,this wasn't a huge venue.It was 2 launch a club in London.The pix from this nite of Amy r so beautiful. I was so surprized @ how fresh & healthy she looked. Her makeup was minimal,no Ronette eye make-up. She sang,then sat@ a table w/her Dad,boyfriend and friends.
@the age of 24,she won 5Grammys in 1 nite. Her work&lyrics will remain,plz believe! SQ1
Just turn the music UP and the drama DOWN!

theoriginalbillholt Apparently lack of basic sensitivity does not prevent expressing opinions.
