For me it was a clear 49-46, giving Mousasi the second round because of his effective striking from his back.
King Mo won because of controlling and wrestling, Mousasi was scoring points inflicting damage from his back but he wasn't active enough in the fight, he really needed to fight more on his feet. Mousasi, even though his take-down defense sucks his boxing is considered better.

I am more of a Gegard Mousasi fan but I think that King Mo won this one.
King Mo held him down for pretty much the whole fight. Mousasi was a little more active from the bottom but for the most part he wasn't even really trying. If he wanted to Mousasi ould have did way better. Hopefully a rematch later on

If you have near zero take down defense, you better have fight ending BJJ skills, and the gas to execute the techniques. Mousasi lost fair and square.
Mousasi allowed Mo to take him down. For 5 rounds. The commentators were very biased. Upkicks and the occasional punch are not enough. He needs to stand up or reverse it. Mousasi didnt even try to change his tactics. Not one takedown attempted. Looking at Mousasi's record, id say this was his toughest opponent. King Mo thoroughly deserved that win, he made Mousasi look very average.

I guarantee in the future the scoring system will change the "control factor" to "who put out the most damage/came closer to finishing the opponent while receiving less damage". Some wrestlers(not all) are having their day by subduing and nuetralizing their opponents, but it's a fight, not an arrest. The system will change, and I won't have to hear people trying to justify that hanging on to someone's waist or legs is the same thing as kicking their ass or submitting them. Try to finish fights!

Perfect example of how messed up the scoring system in MMA is. You can beat the hell out of someone but if that person keeps going for takedowns, he gets more points than you. The scoring system should favor strikes and submission attempts since those things are what finish fights. Thanks to the current state of scoring favoring wrestlers, we have to see wrestlers acting like they are fighters, even though all they're doing is clinging to people because they know they will get their ass kicked

Let me tell you ,according with Compustrike Mousasi landed 74%(127 of 172) of the ground strikes and Mo only landed 40%(72 of 179) And he dindt make any summision attempt.
And mousasi had 1 summision attempt and Mo 0, not very good for being on the top for 18:47 of the figth.And Mousasi had more strike percentaje standing up to.

I am more of a Gegard Mousasi fan but I think that King Mo won this one.
King Mo held him down for pretty much the whole fight. Mousasi was a little more active from the bottom but for the most part he wasn't even really trying. If he wanted to Mousasi ould have did way better. Hopefully a rematch later on

Mousasi allowed Mo to take him down. For 5 rounds. The commentators were very biased. Upkicks and the occasional punch are not enough. He needs to stand up or reverse it. Mousasi didnt even try to change his tactics. Not one takedown attempted. Looking at Mousasi's record, id say this was his toughest opponent. King Mo thoroughly deserved that win, he made Mousasi look very average.

King mo didnt really have to put much effort into taking him down and mousasi didnt put forth much effort in defending the takedown...very disappointing. I wonder if he thought he could just get the submission due to his total lack of takedown defense. I think if they fight again it will be a different result(hopefully), but otherwise King mo grinded.

I guarantee in the future the scoring system will change the "control factor" to "who put out the most damage/came closer to finishing the opponent while receiving less damage". Some wrestlers(not all) are having their day by subduing and nuetralizing their opponents, but it's a fight, not an arrest. The system will change, and I won't have to hear people trying to justify that hanging on to someone's waist or legs is the same thing as kicking their ass or submitting them. Try to finish fights!

Perfect example of how messed up the scoring system in MMA is. You can beat the hell out of someone but if that person keeps going for takedowns, he gets more points than you. The scoring system should favor strikes and submission attempts since those things are what finish fights. Thanks to the current state of scoring favoring wrestlers, we have to see wrestlers acting like they are fighters, even though all they're doing is clinging to people because they know they will get their ass kicked

Someone repeatedly going for double legs in a fight is their way of wasting time to get a "win" without trying to fight. Wrestlers are just exploiting a flawed scoring system which gives points for holding onto someone without trying to fight them.
