For those who still don't work: guard need to be on aggressive mode to attack, so do /guard aggro before you add a flag

you need to go /guard aggro and that will make him start attacking. That is how I fixed it. Hope this helps!

@pbn5476 there are files that you are either missing or have in the wrong place. You should have \.minecraft\Bukkit\plugins\Cit­izens\types. Inside the "types" folder is where you should have the different NPC types. If you do not have them, there is a download available that has them at the BukkitDev page for Citizens, and then just copy them over (they are .jar files)

guys if u have the error invalid npc.. extract citizens in bukkit then u will see types.. then.. run bukkit then stop.. then u can now see citizens folder.. cut types and paste in citizens folder

@tu70r4ls I understand how guards work perfectly, but one thing I cannot fix is this. Whenever a guard takes damage, he loses all equipped items. So if a creeper blows up near him, no more sword. If a player he is attacking hits him back, no more sword, etc. Any idea if there is a command or config file to fix this?

The npc plugin works for a while and then it just freezes, they dont look at you or speak, they dont attack mobs or anything. However, they still lookat you when you rightclick them and you can still edit them. can anyone help? please reply :)

A tips for some people: If you dont have enough money to create a NPC go to the Citizens folder and go to Citizens.yml open with microsoft office! Then scroll down to Economy and search for this: use-economy: true turn it to use-economy: false! I hope it helped ;)

My guards don't do anything, though i made it like your video showed.

First created my NPC with /npc create guard1.

Then /toggle guard

/guard bouncer

/guard radius 30

/guard addflag -m zombie

I even turned /guard aggro on, but it didn't help.

and you need to do the other mobs too, if you want it to guard.

example : addflag skeleton -m addflag spider -m etc..

the should do it fine, the only bug i found was that when you add all flags on -P(player)

you can't remove it, so any other player you encounter will be attacked... handy for some raid kind of thing XD.

and outside of that, you CMD server window, does it give any "errors", you could PM me the details and perhaps i Could help you out.

@MSNICE456 Open Citizens file what you downloaded, then types folder. Now copy paste all types of npc to your : Citizens in plugin folder and there should be types folder. Copy them in it. Then the types of npcs will work. I made same mistake i didn't copy types of npcs to types folder.
