  • **Check out my new video, better camera and sound quality. You can get a real sense of the HMF exhaust**

  • Yay 20k views - Gratz to myself and to all of you!

  • @dirtrida2 where in upstate, ny is this? some of those trails seemed very familiar

  • @ar0ss212 Prattsville, Ny - Where u from.

  • @dirtrida2 oh im from oneonta. prattsville is like an hour away

  • @ar0ss212 haha, im from south kortright

  • @1776pennywise Not too far at all.

  • @dirtrida2 how bad did the floods affect you?

  • @1776pennywise Since our house is up on a mountain we weren't affected; the town just miles below was destroyed though. The run off just washed away everything!

  • Thanks!

  • FMF Exaust??

  • @adamevans67 HMF Exhaust, all mods done are in the description, thanks for watching

  • How did you get the vid to do the color changing thing?

  • @AC610FREAK Windows Movie Maker - Lemme know if you need any tips. The effects I did are nothing amazing, I dont advertise myself as a video pro, but if you need any info just message me.

  • thats funny i actually own this quad now...just bought it last night. i saw this video and said man that looks familiar...then realized its the same quad sitting in my garage!

  • @ny450 Damn no way, what part of LI you from. I regretted selling this quad when I got rid of it. As long as the kid before you didnt mess with it, it should be tuned perfectly.

GL with it, that was my baby ;)

  • @dirtrida2 lol yeah small world huh...i live in riverhead i ride all around the east end....it seems to be running pretty good, jetting might be SLIGHTLY off, i noticed a very slight bog when doing wheelies but it might just be the cold weather or might need a little adjustment with the a/f screw...either way its not bad enough to be a problem...rode it all day yesterday and about to head out for another day of riding today!

  • @ny450 Haha nice man, good to hear, great quad.

  • @ny450 Update about the jetting, the quad was upstate NY at a higher elevation. I would usually have to adjust it slightly when I got back to the Island.

  • @dirtrida2 ahh ok that makes sense....do you remember if you changed actual main jets or did you just adjust fuel screw? its not bad by any means but i feel like it could use a slight tweaking

  • @ny450 Yea I used the jet kit that I got with the pipe and airfilter combo. The jets are different. Might have to pick up an R&D jet kit, or find a jet on ebay. Just open the carb, look at the size thats on their now, then just buy a few jets a couple sizes larger or smaller. I do have the jet kit, but its upstate and I haven't been up their in months.

  • what part

of up state ny cuz my brother rides up their and lived up their for a long time

  • @moneykingbh We are right by windham mountain, prattsville.

  • cool video

  • are you single ;)

  • @corinne2883 Actually, this is my girlfriend: /watch?v=IdZdASMq6PA

  • Nice video man

  • @ad17ster Thanks for the support! Not my best riding of course, the trails are very tame, but fun nonetheless - isn't that what matters?

  • @glock868 That's awesome that you got permission to do that. This is our ski cabin, my house is in Hampton Bays. We got nailed... though upstate got swamped as well. Everything is bad!

  • @dirtrida2 stay safe and have fun

  • @mryz250master Prattsville, up country road 10 into the woods, like a 5min drive from the center of town. You know what im talking about, where you from? and do you know any cool riding spots around there?

  • @dirtrida2 i live near binghamton, and i actually dont, i actually mooved far down south, so i got some nice trails down here

  • @ dirtrida2 hey perfect place to ride man.. and nice 400ex, they look better in red though.

  • I fucking love these mother fuckers. I was just riding the new trx one at my friends cabin and it fucking raped!

  • @hdog97643 Hell yea bro, I love this quad, its fast and reliable... Honda all the way!

  • where exactly is/are these trails? what town/towns??

    \

  • @jackmf68 Prattsville on my property, near Windham mountain... sound familiar?

  • How often do you have a problem with ground clearance? MN seems to have the same type of terrain as you guys. Also, do you ever jump it? How does the chassis/suspension hold up?

  • @TheKamakaziX The only problem with ground clearance lies in the sprocket and rear axle... Sometimes that will knock on a rock, but having good skid plates will just glide you over most obstacles. I also do jump the machine, and stock, it is solid for jumps... though any stock machine isn't truly built for the track. If I were to do any further mods I would extend the axles to make it a little more stable, sometimes feels as if it sits up high. Otherwise this quad is bulletproof!

  • @dirtrida2 Ok, sweet. Thanks for the quick reply!

  • you got beautiful property and one nice sportrax. Would you reccommend a 400ex for the occasional trails and stuff? I'm split on this and a Blaster. More vids of your EX please

  • @calcatchem The 400ex is bulletproof... It requires very little maintenance and runs like a champ. The blaster is 2-stroke and will require piston changes, forcing you to keep a closer eye on the motor. Also, the 2-stroke is extremely loud and somewhat annoying; if you have neighbors in close proximity or are in fear of the cops then I would stay away from the blaster. Other than that, they are both solid quads... Thought I would go 4-stroke all the way... so much easier to maintain!

  • Nice video, I have an 03 400ex with a Big Gun full exhaust kit (also fully jetted and tuned), K&N air filter, AC nerf bars and a Renthal handle bar with Acerbis hand guards. Its a pretty nice set up, considering I ride trails in Oregon that look extremely similar to the trails you ride.

  • @12345678qwerty1000 Thanks for taking the time to watch the video... our setups are quite similar. The bike rides nice just like this, I'm not willing to push the tuning into cams and other motor work (too much maintenance). For trails like this, I can get this baby going fast enough and the mods give me the added power for when I want to open it up. As you can see I don't even need to pop the clutch to bring the bike off the ground and my tires were bald in this video lol.

  • @purplehaze500 Mods: HMF Full Exhaust, Pro Armor Nerf Bars, K&N Air Filter, DG Bumper, and Acerbis Brush Guards. It's also fully jetted and tuned - runs real nice. All these wheelies were done without the use of the clutch, simply just tapped the throttle.
