My mistake, I should have finished the vid before commenting. Very good reenactment. Nicely portrayed. To be honest, where I live most people still dress that way so I didnt get tipped off immediately by the old Garb. Please keep the video's comming. Ignore the anti's- It is a lost cause. You cannot confuse them with facts. Thanks to trappers and hunters in Arkansas, we now have an abundant population of almost every species and even some which are not native to arkansas (especially Nutria)
No offense, young un, but you would be better off snaring or using a 330 connibear in that situation. The water is too shallow for a good drown set and a drag is typically a bad idea so close to shore. I really like the way you set this up though and appreciate your enthusiasm for trapping. No joke, snaring will really impress you. I didnt take to it very fast but it has proven extremely effective. Check local laws first of course. Nice video.

Wow...you guys are awesome. Trapping and killing a Beaver slowly, what a great accomplishment. You people are a perfect example of how shitty and disgustingly cruel humans can be. I wonder what kind of thoughts would go through your ignorant minds if you were trapped under water to die slowly or shot in your own home.
Look at the context before you post ignorant comments. The program is intended to show how beaver were trapped in the past. The intent is to inform young men about an important part of American history as well as establish a respect for the environment so as to not repeat history. I think any person who as hiked at Philmont would agree that the intent of the lesson is to educate on the past not how to harm the beaver. Perhaps you should read up on Philmont before showing ignorance on the interne
i dont remember his name but all that i do remember is that he wasn't they guy whom usually cuts hair, they guy who did it said it was his first time cutting hair. he was clean shaven brown hair or blond hair dont rmember who it was, oh yeah it was back in the sumer of 2008 too
is it just me or do all of you anti hunting people just copy and paste the same bullshit comment, then look up hunting videos to cry over and post your un original comment on? is peta the new emo? i swear im getting tired of hearing people talking shit about things that are in most cases a family tradition. when this world economy finally goes completely under you tree huggers are gonna be starvin and us "dumb hillbillies" will be on top of the world cuz we have the guns and the nuts to use them
ok so wait until someone come into your house to rob you and puts a bullet through your heart. then youd wish you had a gun to prtect yourself, but because of you antis, were losing our rights as gun owners. well, to quote a very close friend " they can have my guns and ym traps, when they pry them from my cold dead body"....
never trapped many. used lot of snares for beavers. we cruise the mirrouri river with spotlights at nite and shoot them. illegal...yes. very effective. we killed 138 beavers year b4 last on the river
Beavers don't drown....they asphyxiate...they are not able to open there inner lips or nostrils to breath underwater....through asphyxiation they simply fall asleep. You should take a trappers course.

Hmmm if it was long brownish-red hair then that would have been Milton Sublette (Matthew Isom) if it was short then it was Joe Meek.

of course because when we take them out of our traps they wake right back up after being under water for a day......they still die in the end.
rednecktrapper21 3 years ago
No they are dead alright...they die from lack of oxygen to there brain. They slip into a coma and from there they die.
