How to Change a File Extension in Windows 7

You cannot change JPG to PNG this way - check the file header information you muppet! Windows is simply checking the header vs the ext and correcting the conflict you've created. To prove it, change it to a .doc or any other extension then ask it to be opened in Windows Photo Viewer, the Viewer doesn't trust the extension and handles the JPG in the normal JPG way!!!!
