He still fought through the pain but the match noticabely changed after that and there were hints throughout that Michaels was in more pain then he was letting on. He couldn't even stand or celebrate after the win as he was hurried backstage (whether this was because of what Kane was going to do or to get him backstage to get checked on is debateable though)

Like for example, how many times did the WWF title change hands in the year of 1999? Alot between The Undertaker, (sometimes Kane when he got his shots) The Rock, Stone Cold, Triple H and towards the end even Kurt Angle it was edge of your seat in your face great days, and before you ask, the only reason I left Shawn Michaels and Bret Harts names out is because they had left by then, but in late 1997 they definatly paved the way for the attitude erra

The attitude era began before Hart ever left. HBK, Hart, Austin and a few others had ads that said attitude during 1997. HBK was the best during this time. His attitude is one of the reasons the wwf starting running the attitude ads. Watching these old shows again, it's very obvious that the Rock, Austin and HBK were the best characters, but after HBK's injury from this match the wrestling in wwf at that time isn't any better than today's matches. The crowds were crazier but that's about all.

With a lot of pain, yeah. In an interview he mentions how the very next day he couldn't move at all. And that's nothing. When he wrestled Stone Cold Steve Austin, his back was in desperate need of surgery. Imagine, he wrestled with a back that needed surgery! And throughout the match, you can tell by his facial expressions that he was in a lot of pain.

every match that The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels fought in had interference and each time it was Triple H and Chyna with Rick Rude who interfered in the matches Rude died not to long after that when he was making his WWF/E come back as a wrestler Chyna doesn't work for the WWE anymore and Triple H has his hand's full with Randy Orton and Rhodes & Dibiase jr but there are alot of former taker opponents that would like to see him lose @ WM 25

Actually, the WWE writers have nothing to do with kane not having is mask anymore. It was HIS idea: he said that he wanted to end the gimmick because he was sick of wrestling with a mask. he was breathing with difficulties with it.

Also, he wanted to push the younger guys: that why he's losing to guys like kofi kingston or rey mysterio...

And don't expect it to win the MITB because of that reason.
