Down at the juke joint me and the boys were stomping bipping and bopping and telling a dirty joke or two. No-one and I do mean no-one writes lyrics like the one and only Philip Parris Lynott ~ fantastic music! :)
@jmoney31705 I remember when I was 16 when I was bitten by the Lizzy bug, I spent two months slaving in a restaurant just to buy a Gibson Les Paul ! Best 1200 bucks ever spent man
@leegeddyfan i feel ya man, unfortunately for me, i got the lizzy bug just last year, as an american you know, all we hear on the radio is jailbreak and the boys are back in town, well my co worker/ my brothers best friend turned me onto the johnny the fox album and i've been a full fledge fan ever since, and he plays a mediocre JP player bass, so i went out out and bought a ibanez SGR300 bass, now i have a nice MiM fender p bass with emg pick ups and i try to learn every lizzy song i can
now this is music. today's music is pure bullshit, it doesn't even classify to me as music. i would have thought that it would have gotten better throughout the time suprise it didn't.
I love this song, "I'm a rocker, I'm a roller too baby...ooh baby..
Ooh I do anything for you, cuz you're a rocker!" Love those lyrics. Phil is such a great poet and awesome singer. Thin lizzy's music will always be in my life.
see me I'm a tough guy got my cycle outside wanna try.. she just looked at me and rolled them big eyes..... and came home and gave good head. motorbikes are fukin great and so's Phil
Not degrading anyone, but I used to confuse Phil's voice with Jimi Hendrix at first when I heard Thin Lizzy. I still believe Phil Lynott as a musician continues to be very underrated by most people.
@lanslater men... i only say r.i.p gary moore because he die and he was part of the band....i know this is a eric bell solo =) sorry for the bad english
kick ass solo by Erik Bell very cool song by Philip Lynott I've always liked this song ever since I first herd it years ago when I was first tought it on Bass Guitar fantastic song by Philip Lynott it's a dam shame he's now passed away it really is and it's sutch a blow to the Rock World and seen with out Philip Lynott in the world now it's a duller place without him and his music R.I.P Philip Lynott And also Gary Moore R.I.P to you both godbless your souls you did well.
Brian may is good as so is "Eric Bell" there are a lot of people who should be mentioned and here they are .. "Andy Scott" (the sweet) he done a blinding solo on their B-Side of "hell Raiser" look it up please :) and "Mick Ronson" he played with David Bowie" And Jimmy Page, there are so many greats that were around in the seventies :) and a lot of new bands today learn from them :) Thanks For Posting.
No way is brian may as good as Gary Moore he's the best that there is like I said nobody can match that Thin Lizzy twin guitar solo can they Thin Lizzy are rock gods and I think today there's loads of rock bands who base there music on Philip Lynotts material there's a bit of Thin Lizzy in every rock band today evrybody wants to be Philip Lynott and Thin Lizzy but they cannot do it nobody can match or eaven play as good as Thin Lizzy Philip Lynott was ununice a one off best of all time.
my god the way Erik Bell does the solo in this song is totally bad ass sounds amazeing the way he does it nobody can match or play as good as any of Thin Lizzy's guitarist's and nobody has that twin Thin Lizzy guitar sound in today's rock bands out there ok you've got like slash and brian may hank mavin but I think there no where as good as Thin Lizzy's Guitarists.
@thewaronterror yes, they do, numbnuts. Ever heard of Rush, America, Cutting Pink With Knives, Nirvana, The Meat Puppets, Beat Happening, Add N to (X), Cheap Time, etc., etc., etceterfuckinra!
Probably the best song Eric Bell did with Lizzy, his solo is so insane it's undescribable. Once you think it can't get any better he just turns the notch up higher and higher and higher and higher and higher until your head explodes from the awesomeness.
ive beeen missing out big time this iss intense all ive heard is the shortend Version. wtf it should class as sin to shorten this song and cut out the solo :D
@dakkeseta Gary Moore didn't play on this one - they didn't get him until "Nightlife", and then again on "Black Rose". This is Eric Bell. But still a great tune nonetheless.
one of thin lizzys best songs ever and I agree the rock solo in this has got to be one of the best ever wrote erik bell is a fantastic guitarist if anybodys got this version of the rocker on cd turn it up full blast and the solo sounds eaven better try it out folks.
why dont they play this on the radio? i like jailbreak, the boys are back in town but these guys made so many songs that were 10 times better than those

One of the craziest guitar solos I've ever heard.
I once bought a universal music compilation of Lizzy hits, and would you believe it- they cut the solo out of the song.
What the fuck was that about? Some kind of time limit on the CD?
Utterly ridiculous.

@JoeTheToucan I think the original single cut out the solo - it basically chopped off the last two minutes or so.
