  • you guys in american do it soo different from us in ireland

    but this way looks brillient

  • Heh, beagles are so much fun.

  • not too many rabbits taken but these guys did not really look serious in doing that. theyprobably used it only as an excuse to go outdoors and watch and listen to the baying dogs and get exercised under the sun with their friends. what can be better than that.

  • What shot did you guys use?

  • dang i havent had rabbit it like 5 years yum

  • I don"t blame anyone for being afraid of rabbits, we've all seen Monty Python

  • i wish i could live in minessota i love hunting, forest, snow cold, rabbits, deer etc and i borned in the wrong place i leave in a tropical country called guatemala were everything is green hot and humid no hunting spots no stores for selling guns, and the only animals i can find are frogs, frogs and more frogs

  • This was great I used to hunt and trial them. I hated to get rid of my pack .I had to change jobs and I did not have the time to enjoy them any more.

  • All you blokes sound like them Rebs from the film Gettysburg. I watched it last night. LOL

  • becareful for dick cheny if hes in the area

  • as long as they eat them they can kill them :)

  • i hunt rabbit by my self with a .117 and a .22 pellet gun its more fun, . . . . and because i don't have your firearms, and my dogs just take the rabbits and run away

  • @shadowsofshadow hay i live in arizona im also 14 and i have a 20 gauge yopu have never been hnting az is prime rabbit hunying

  • @ExposedD3ath Ya'll got any jack rabbits in AZ?

  • @SupremeAmerican d

where i live in oklahoma is great for rabbit hunting we have alot of long ear jack rabbit too. i kick brushpiles to get the rabbit to come out but last time i went i saw 9 in 66 acres!!

  • I live in Spencer county. Show them how its done Ky hunters!!!

  • anyone no a good place to hunt 1 to 2 hours away from plymouth meeting or philly

  • @h4xor27 farmland areas of bucks county...

  • SHHHH IM HUNTIN WABBITS!

  • can anyone tell me if my number 6 32gr long reach .12 are good for rabbits?

  • @ak47proshooter try it out lol

  • @ak47proshooter : yeh, i usually use something similar. you don't really need to be too specific with rabbit shooting, just bird shooting.

  • Benton's in Marshall Co,Cadiz is in Lyon and I never went to hardin when I lived in Paducah.Wish Tim would hunt and fish in "real" western Kentucky.

  • This is more like a video about hunting with dogs rather than hunting rabbits...

  • When you hunt Rabbit with a Shotgun do you have to change the chooke?

and what shot do I use? My late father left me his Winchester Model 12 20 Ga.

Its a very light shotgun and its excellent for Rabbit hunting I just need to know about

what chooke I need to use and what shot?

  • @Captb55806 You could.I use a Mossberg 500 20 guage with Modified choke('cause Gil Ash sez to)for better patterns.Number 6 is what I use for rabbits and squirrel when I use a shotgun. My personal opinion is that a 12 gauge is a heavy trip for a rabbit or squirrel. I thought the Win Model 12 was a fixed choke.Or do you have an adjustable tube on it?

  • Pheasants? In Kentucky? If I would have known that I would have hunted them while I lived there.

  • got to love them doggs...

  • Thanks boys!

It is a nice video, and you made my evening today! Best regards from a Hungarian HillBilly Boy!

  • I love your videos! Thank you so much! This is the real face of fair chase hunting. thank you

  • I'd use a .22 rifle with winchester center-fire hollow point rounds. No dogs. Rabbit-sniper style.

  • looks good but try red rider BB gun and hunt grass hoppers in late summer early fall, no licenses, and no limits/.

    donze52 films

  • That was awesome!

  • U boys sure look like ur having fun!

  • haha coulda kicked that last one!!

  • DOGGIES!!! :D

  • i love rabbit hunting and i have dogs but where i hunt the rabbit population is going down

  • Many of these videos seem to be from the USA. Could anyone tell me what its like to live out in the country. I usually go hunting or living in the land for weeks at a time. But in my country the population is very dense so their isn't much country side to go hunting in.

Also why do you use guns. Its hard to get hold of a gun here but i think its better to use a bow and arrow as it requires more skill.

  • It is quite hard to shoot a running rabbit with a bow... Secondly, the US has mountain lions and bears and I wouldn't want just a bow for predator hunting. Thirdly, some back country folk actually hunt for food and not sport so time is of the essence.

  • i killed me a rabbit yesterday by pure chance-we were taking my weim in some brush and he scared up a rabbit and i shot it and killed it

  • hey were they get them beagles and how much were they

  • I be bookin it down a guly when i saw a rabbit. I shot it wit my rossi hammydown 410 it blew in half and pooped. Honestly im scared of rabbits because i beleive there not blessed by god. God Bless and let god guide you in the darkest days.

  • man this me and my grandpas geetaway thing. i mean ever since i was 7 me him have killed at least 4 rabbits a season.and i live in kentucky, man i love rabbit hunting

  • i find it hopeless to sneek on a rabbit

  • love the hunting spot good work

  • man he blistered that last one

  • 3:54

I wish we saw more like that live ones

  • My grandpa bought my uncle a beagle when he was younger got them everything pheasants rabbits quial anything but she died doing what she loved she died out on a hunt of a heart attack :(

  • Hi there I have a Basset Hound and a Lab. how could I start training them for hunting? I know labs are bird's dogs but would like to know how to training them for hunting, Any suggestions?

  • that last one was close shot did he tear it up or what

  • Those are some nice varments!

  • i prefer hunting rabbits at long range with the hmr. i keep the shotgun for the birds

  • wow what some beautiful rabbits. keep up the good work!

  • man thats awfully sparse for rabbits im from pennsylvania and we hunt stuff that u have to crawl through sometimes. most of the time you cant see more than 10 or 15 feet around you. snow really helps in those conditions

  • ive never done hunting with a beagle, i usually go out shotgun shooting with my German Short-haired pointer, i love watching that breed work. or i will go out with the .22 and sit myself in a good spot and pick rabbits off when they come out of their hole grazing

  • I use to have a German Short Haired Pointer they are such great Dogs.

I had mind for 19 years!! Sadley I had to put him to sleep 4 years ago. It was so hard for me to do.

  • any recipes??

  • @wxyztu rabbit + garlic, onions and olives in the oven on a low heat for about 2 and a half hours

  • wont the dogs scare them away?

  • thats the point the rabbit has a tendecy to run to the spot it was scared out of and the dogs run them back to the standers

  • @PaulkyArcher yes, thats the point.they jump them and chase them and chase the rabbit back to the hunter

  • @PaulkyArcher If the rabbits are going to get scared away, its probably going to be because of the gunshots.

  • @PaulkyArcher They scare them up so you can shoot them.

  • @PaulkyArcher They could but the dogs can chase the rabbits around to where the hunters can take their shots, after making sure the dogs are out of the way.

  • @PaulkyArcher i was thinking about the same thing!

  • @PaulkyArcher Rabbits establish their homes in areas that they know of a food source.. They won't leave their feeding area. The will run from the dogs but they will loop back. The only option they have is to run circles/loops or hole up.

  • he goes, woowoowoo at 2:17

  • LOL

  • if you love the beagles you havent heard when one finnish hound dog barks for rabbit it is lots faster bark and i love it im not intressed of beadles because in Finland here in winter is too much snow for beagles

  • I Love To Hear A Pack Of Beagles Jump Up A Rabbit. Its Just Music To My Ears.

  • i agree

  • i went bowhunting for rabbits, saw one but couldn't get a shot cuz he could see me draw the bow. he got within 10 metres of me. Man he was a big fella!

  • I Love To Hear A Pack Of Beagles Jump Up A Rabbit. Its Just Music To My Ears.

  • nice video

  • a good days hunting!!

  • why do you have to wear flouresant orange in America? in Britain we have a much more relaxed attitude to shooting.

  • It's for safety, so you're less likely to get shot by mistake. My dog is just the color of a deer, and jumps like one, too, so I'm going to make him an orange vest just in case.

  • how do you cook rabbit and is it good?

  • sure is good!!! fry rabbit is good

  • man, rabbit makes real fine eating. it's real healthy too!

  • i have 3 beagles

  • Man love these beagles :-)

Say, is it that hard to get a cotton tail in Kentucky?

Dont get me wrong I can understand the social part of the hunt it looked great.

  • i hunt rabbits by myself because my beagle is stupid and just runs away

  • @tomshepley lol

  • @tomshepley lol, my dog's not stupid, just plain stubborn

  • What gauge are you using?

  • shot 8 today

  • shot three today

  • I shot myself a rabbit and a squirrel today, both with a 12 guage, no damaged meat what-so-ever. Both shots were instant kills, no harm done to the animules.

  • Everyone loves Peter Cottontail.

  • GOOD to see you Jackie .I didn't know you was a movie star.

  • I've had beagles for years...Beagles are great rabbit dogs. But tend to be a bit cold nosed "old scent". I prefer to hunt rabbit with the Podengo Portuguese medium...

Will not give up and is NOT cold nosed!

  • excellent video. very well done and very entertaining
