i guess your right but i was talking about her singles to me they sound like a tamed mariah. a mariah who is willing to limit how amazing her voice is just to get record sales, by singing mediocre hooks for famous rap stars. I'm not trying to be rude, im a mariah fan, just a bigger old mariah fan.

why dont u guys get that she is a singer that doesnt have a whole album of ballads y r u mad at that its ridiculous she human if u knew her u wud kno she still is doin songs like this some ppl r just like tommy and wanna control her career she has a lot of ballads that r recent some ppl just rnt satisfied when she does 1 song diff that is not their direction she is an artist she does it all she cant please everyone so she is not gon try

i think your misunderstanding. i wasn't talking about the tempo of her songs. ur right in a sense good music is good music. i was just simply stating that her music used to be set apart, and that now i'm starting to notice too many similarities with the rest of today's mainstream music, maybe she's reinventing herself to fit in with the times, but i'm just stating my opinion that She is much better than the music she is settling for now. i meant no harm. i'm a fan

I understand where your coming from completely! Im a huge MC fan but i prefer her older stuff too. Mariah Carey to Butterfly was exquisite lyrically and musically, she became more commercial after that NOT SAYIN THATS A BAD THING but i prefer her older stuff and i always will

ok i understand but i kno there are rnb beats to her music now but can u tell me musically how she has changed thats what im tryna understand from old mariah talk fantasy honey and heartbreaker arent that diff from shake it off ill be lovin u long time r say something and ballads like we belong together r dont forget about us so where is da change ppl talk about she is an artist and i think she reaches out to all audiences

yeah i agree she does. but ur examples of oldies honey and heartbreaker are not old enough. i'm talking about vision of love, emotions, mariah that's what i miss. but your right every now and then she has a deep song like this that reaches out to me. Its just sad that those songs have to be the number 11's on the CD, while her singles are stuff like its like that ya'll. so non mariah fans only know about the mariah in the video's and that just limits her.

but no artist should or i think is gonna have a whole album of ballads i think mariah now she has to stay with the music she loves fans love and ppl listen to if she just sing ballads all da time she would not have exploded like she did touch my body would not be released u gotta understand she cant b a one track artist musically she does everythin and i think thats y she is on top and the music industry credits her so much because she accomplishes all not just one thing e=mc2 is what it is b/c.
