Alpha Protocol should have been up there. It was such a damn good game story wise and the concept of there is no good or evil just the consequence of your action was used well in the game but graphics, bugs, and Sega's typical stupidity of rushing their games ruined it. I hope BioWare picks up the title and sees how much money hey could make and they could mess around with a relatively new concept in rpgs being no good/evil.

@SarujinieUras I've never played 2 but I've heard from a lot of people that 1 was a lot better than 2. But basically the best thing about 1 was the creature AI which was really deep and well done. The first one revolved around the creature a lot more than the second one, which i really liked.

I get why mgs2 is on here, on it's own merits mgs2 was a great game, a fact mentioned in the intro & during it's spot on the list, it's simply as they said "replaced with a dude doing naked cart wheels"

Except, when you really think about MGS2 story line and how it fits in with the overall plot it was an awesome game and Raiden was an interesting addition...

MGS2 Raiden = good character for the plot when you understand his contrast with the overall world of MGS, Snake, and how he places the audience into the view of an outside perspective struggling within the crazies of MGS.

At least in Grand Theft Auto you have missions and lots of stuff to do for some reason. But State of Emergency sucks. Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty is EPIC.

The fact that it's listed here is HERESY. Raiden is not some pussy, either. In fact, he's also featured in an upcoming game that's sure to be epic.

Sure, the player didn't get to play as Snake, but by having the player play alongside Snake rather than as Snake caused Snake to appear so bad ass and almost legendary.

Metal Gear Solid 2 blows all of those other games on your stupid list out of the water and is the greatest last gen game of all time.

And playing beside Solid Snake rather than as Solid Snake did so much more for the legend - it puffed him up big time. The suspense of Pliskin, wondering if Snake is dead - and then finding out Pliskin is Snake - awesome.

Gameplay wise is where it counts, anyway. And MGS 2 is the video game event of a lifetime.
