  • anyone know where to get a carb and clutch for one of these

    ?

  • I have one of these but I have never heard it run. That sounded really good at about 4:40 when it was revving. Cool video, very informative, makes me want to get mine going. I have a VW swing-axle that I would like to mate it to, got any ideas?

  • use the coil inside the flywheel.use universal ignition module # 33-053 at any good mower parts store.it comes with instructions.use the coil and module only!!! dont let it go thru the outside wiring or points cause it will blow the module instantly. mikuni carb # bn44-40-43 44mm part no 53-2062 should work; it looked like the one i had and you will have to make a adapter to fit motor. a 34mm should work good also. i dont have the motor any more, someone else is enjoying it .

  • I think its a mikuni super BN carb. What bore size is that carb?

  • You say it is a 1000cc mikuni carb. What is this carb from originally? Is it a 4-stroke carb and did it originally feed a 1000cc engine? You mention going for an electronic ignition setup as opposed to the single point setup. What would you use as a pickup coil and reluctor? Sure you could use a standard old Chevy module and an hei coil but for the trigger...what did you have in mind?

  • at the end of video i made a mistake ,i said points instead of electronic ign. points is easy er to crank, using electronic ign advances the timing and requires a electric starter
