Personaly, i think the rear-loader does better packing than sideloaders.. With sideloaders it packs not so much as a rear-loader does several times... But on a rear-loader you can have 2 times more trash in the hopper before even start the packer...

Its right there at the back of the hopper,same as my regular truck,I just didnt use it so the packer could do all the work.

only problem is once the truck gets full the damn packer stops while packing and have too keep hitting the packer button so it will retract

An average load,with alot of cardboard and stuff that doesnt pack well,is about 12 tons with this 36yd body.The most I ever put on the 36yd was 16.75 tons! It had been raining for a few days,the trash was very wet,and I packed the whole route on.

I worked on a McNeilius...they were great....packed a good load and wrecked everything! They were reliable also and very user friendly!

That packer blade actually DOES extend long enough into the container to actually push the trash thru... unlike these other units I see.
