You see, I don't play a derp sentinel like 70% of the rest of the community. I get up to 700-900k damage with a combination of TK RP into drive then crM launch mmhs flight lmmhs low pawnch PS.
I always felt is that Sentinel should have high health and damage, but what I wanted to know is why is he so fast? He looks strong, looks resilient, but looks like he should be chugging at Thor's pace. While I think the drop is health was good, I really think they should have slowed him down. That would open him up to many more strategies and characters. Hell, if S took time to swing out, that would help out considerably.
@huntershriek Most of the cast already has instant overheads on him. He's already a walking target for most of the cast and is generally assist tier. He's only stupidly powerful in x-factor lvl 3. Outside of that he's definitely a good character but high mid tier at best. Dropping his health didnt change anything. He's more a scrub killer than a broken character. He's like a better version of Tager from Blazblue.
@gojoewhite1234 Are you talking about pros or people online? Pros use him because he has a really good assist. People use him online use him for the most part because he's a newb killer. He does lots of damage with his attacks so people who havent figured out what to look for and the ones who refuse to have a tough time with him. @gojoewhite1234 Thing is how easy to use a character is has no effect on tier placement. If in killer instinct the ones that are easier to use became top tier it means they were better to start with. And you can do quite well without sentinel in your team even as an assist. Wesker can self otg, has a great assist and and is really good. Tron and Haggar also have great invincible assists that can be used to great affect. Magneto is really good as well and can actually beat out sent with disruptor

Sentinel was such a problem but after fighting so many Sentinel users, I don't have much problems except aggresive Sentinel users and lvl 3 X factor. But other characters like Tron, Haggar, Vampire Bitch and Amy are fucking annoying, especially with Haggar and his gay Assist Attack that blocks Air-to-Ground attacks plus cannot be stopped with any regular attack... juggles you and throws you on the ground ready to be OTG'd for a gay combo. This is mostly done by Chris + Haggar (AssistFags) users.
you know i never had issues with pre-patch sent, he reminded me of vanilla Sagat. i just dealt with it (albeit with the help from my good ol' pal Dr. Doom).
@inf4my: Phoenix is fine, yes. Dark Phoenix with level 3 X-Factor can kill anyone in 5 seconds with just chip alone.
But there are lots of other problems in MvC3 besides just Wolverine, like all the Street Fighter characters being virtually useless (Akuma is only used for his assist) and the rest of Marvel's mascots, such as Hulk (to a lesser extent), Captain American, Iron Man and Spider-Man, being completely worthless.

I also know a way to destroy Dark Phoenix in 1 to 2 hits.

Chris, Dante, and Taskmaster user here. Surprisingly I don't see Scrubtinel used a whole lot online. But when he is, he's extremely abused. I've been surprised by how well an experienced player can counter him though. Sentinel is fucking bullshit though.
My favorite team is Akuma, Dante and Taskmaster, purely for the fact that their combined combo is fantastic, and i didn't die and was pretty much untested on the hardest difficulty.

@Oldspiceguyshorse I use Raiden in MK9, but I agree with you, I hate player who only uses his electrifly and teleport, they do not even have a few combos and only use him .... sooo what I'm trying to say is dont hate not at all Raiden players ... only those assholes who deserve it.
Even if you get someone who doesnt spam a lot, Raiden has 30%+ punishers that are maybe 8 buttons total. And if you get in a corner against a raiden your boned, his mix-ups are like jesus.
@Oldspiceguyshorse fair enough he needs to be nerft, but he's not as bad as kung lao, if you get caught in a corner he can endlessly divekick the shit out of you. and at least Raiden recovery time on his specials longer than most of them.

Most Sentinels are free. It's rare to see a good one. Sentinel is one of the hardest characters to use in the game vs high level players.

Chris, Dante, and Taskmaster user here. Surprisingly I don't see Scrubtinel used a whole lot online. But when he is, he's extremely abused. I've been surprised by how well an experienced player can counter him though. Sentinel is fucking bullshit though.

My favorite team is Akuma, Dante and Taskmaster, purely for the fact that their combined combo is fantastic, and i didn't die and was pretty much untested on the hardest difficulty.

Wolverine I agree with, but Phoenix can be killed from 1 combo and can be zoned out easily.
Things that need to be sorted most are Wesker, Wolverine and the tatsu loop.

@Oldspiceguyshorse I use Raiden in MK9, but I agree with you, I hate player who only uses his electrifly and teleport, they do not even have a few combos and only use him .... sooo what I'm trying to say is dont hate not at all Raiden players ... only those assholes who deserve it.

Even if you get someone who doesnt spam a lot, Raiden has 30%+ punishers that are maybe 8 buttons total. And if you get in a corner against a raiden your boned, his mix-ups are like jesus.
