You need to blow up five specific buildings in the campaign. Usually some hangar out in the middle of no-where. Your AWACS will tell you that they found something in the wreckage if it is the right one. You should check Gamefaqs for specific missions and locations. Four of them are in the branching path missions, so it is impossible to get it first time through the game.

yo dude how can you select planes in arcade mode. but me when I was gonna start but then the game starts automatically no selecting planes. I can only Use the F-22 raptor. please reply. Note: I have already Beat Ace Combat 5 also i went to arcade mode. then after the briefing still no plane selection menu. what is going on?!! and also nice gun shooting. you are really good like me. well i use my machine gun very crazily. i use it to destroy ground targets and planes of course.

The only bad thing in AC is that the pilots don't talk. I mean the main character. Blaze talks during the mid-cutscene in AC5 during Naval Blockade. Cipher talks right before the 1st mission starts.

How the hell were you able to select an aircraft? I thought you couldn't choose the aircraft of your choice...

You need to beat all four paths in Arcade mode, but there's a bit of a trick to it.

Its not mentioned anywhere and is rather unintuitive.

The first time you complete Arcade mode, you get a chance to save your score. Do this.

Now, the next time you play Arcade mode, you need to load that file before starting. This way, the game will remember when you complete one of the paths since it does not automatically load the file.

I have gotten the triple Ace rank, Rank AAA. Nice flight, unforturnely you need to keep constantly playing this game in order to stay good at it. I myself haven't played this game forever. I use to shoot down all enemies down with just the machine gun. Oh well:(

Anyway when you finish arcade mode you get a chance to save it. Do that. Then when you start Arcade mode next time, be sure to go to LOAD not START. It doesn't load automatically.

Some of them are helpful though, for example, if I were to turn away after launching some missiles at a target, I'd have two ques as to if the missiles hit, AWACS announcing the hit, or the increase in points. One is visual and the other is audio.

So its basically just making sure the player gets redundant information so he doesn't miss a beat if he's getting tunnel vision.

He appears in Ace Combat Zero as well as an opponent at the end of the bonus Boss rush level if you manage to defeat the enemies quick enough on a high difficulty setting. Not only is this very difficult, but the AI they gave him is incredibly aggressive and difficult to kill even with the Falken.

The fact that I have the ability to select any plane I want and have the blue camo Falken paintjob means I've played this game more than I should have.

You get the ability to pick any plane in Operation Katina by successfully completing all four branches of it.

There is no real story to Arcade mode outside what you saw in this video. Its just combat for the most part, with the resistance being suppressed in the end.

I use a Pinnacle (dunno about the specific model) capture card and the software it comes with. It sucks, but VirtualDub's capture doesn't work for me... Anyway, after capturing in max quality DivX (only other choice is DV, lol) it goes straight to final compression, for uploading.

For compressing stuff I always use VirtualDubMod. It's the fastest encoder I know and you can use pretty much any codec you have (I personally use XviD), without any stupid limitations. *coughwindowsmoviemakercough* XD

I think it looks overall better than the recording software that came with the Gamebridge. While it deinterlaced on the fly as you watched or recorded something, it also added a motion blur to everything.

The Gamebridge's software also compressed it into a MPEG, whereas Virtual Dub does not. Since I have to compress my Starfox vids after editing in WMM, that means each video before this was being compressed twice which could not have been good for the quality. I think WMM has an easier time compressing AVIs than MPEGs too, since the file sizes afterwards are about 25% smaller.

Katina is apparently a real word that means "female orca", and quite a few things in Ace Combat 5 are named after animals. If it wasn't a nod to Star Fox (I doubt it was), it was that.
