  • How could you think silver is magnetic...

  • first of all its worth about 75c to a dollar and second of all its not silver its steel and the only reason they made steel penny's because the world war 2 was going on and they saved the copper for bombs and steel was cheaper

  • I've got about two dozen of these.

  • You should probably cut out where you can't get your fucking camera to focus, jesus,

  • it's steel. 50 cents tops

  • steel penny asshole

  • ok i have a 1943 penny nd it stickes to magnet is that good or bad nd also i have a 1946 penny is it worth something or only if they are 1943

  • 1943 Steel Wartime Cent. 100% steel with a zinc coating.

  • Copper ones go for about $800,000

  • That one is made of pure silver.

  • @TheHotRod1961 dude u dont know zinc coated steel 100% steel layer of zinc

  • Would have been awesome if the magnet didn't stick to it.

  • ill give a 20 dollers for it call me at 843 383 4145

  • i have one but it doesn't sticks to a magnet..

  • fake

  • real ones arent suppose to be magnetic!!!!!! -._.-

  • @Zarah0010 1943 steel cents are

  • 50 cents

  • i just found 1 i have one just like u. i was told the real one goes for about $85,000 but only if it is made of copper the ones u and i got idk yet

  • I have alotta these but after awhile they start to rust!

  • I always sift through my dad's coin jug with a magnet to try to find these, i have found one, but it is rusty and you can't hardly tell it is a penny, it looks like a dime

  • its steel

  • i have one too mine look very old

  • i have one

  • i have one

  • In that condition they go for around $2.50

  • @pacaron43 no, they're actually worth around 10-20 cents at most, each. COPPER ones from 1943 are worth 85,000 dollars because there are existing ones that were mistakes, and therefore are worth a lot of money.

  • The COPPER 1943 pennies are worth 85,000 dollars, not silver, which are actually steel. I have 2 of them.

  • @natennateproductions can i buy one?

  • Dude the guy who made the vid u responded to said their worth up to 85,000 dollars, he's an idiot. Their worth 10 to 20 cents at MOST

  • look up 'Penny table of worth' and u will see 12 to 15 cents. If u know someone who will give 2 to3 for them.i have swamp land in Florida forsale.

  • all 1943 pennies are steel .... only year any US coin has contained no copper!!

  • i believe the question is: Have you ever seen a 1943 copper penny?

  • Worth 25-50 cents. Tons were made.

  • My Great-grandfather collected a Cheese Whiz jarfull of these pennies that I still have. i dont think they are that rare...

  • @TheCrimsonZamboni each one is evaluated in 85 thousend dollars they are rare as hell and if you have a jar of them, you are rich...

  • @pacoron43 your an idiot

  • i have several steel pennies in my collection.

  • the stape are making it stick to the magnic, its copper!!!

  • @TheHotRod1961 no they arent. this is a 1943 penny the only year any us penny was made of steel. they are that valuable though, they are like 2-3 dollars a penny in good enough condition.

  • @TheHotRod1961 I can't even... LMAO

  • its steel

  • wow my grandfather had one untill i lost it

  • guys steel penny's are barly worth anymore then a bit of cents. copper however,,, 250,000 is a worth depending on condition, and if it is real. not much were made so saying you have like 20 means you may have counterfits or none at all.

  • I have a full set of 1943 steel wartime cents.

  • Oh NO! A Few Years Ago I used to have 3 of them. I dont know what happened to them-I think I lost them. Though I have a VDB 1909.

  • They are hard to find, since collectors have been collecting them. Even though they have a high mintage.

  • i have one too

  • ha i found mine on the street its in bad condition but i like it

  • so how much is yours worth.

  • I HAVE ONE OF THESE!

  • Maybe $2 haha

  • I have a 1943 steel wheat penny, I wish I had a copper one.

  • it's real, I have a bag of these. they needed the copper for bullets..lots and lots of bullets.

  • 1943 "steel pennies" are zinc coated steel. All pennies from 1983 up, are copper coated zinc.

  • @bluestucco You are correct, 1983 pennies to present are 95% zinc and 5% copper. However, there are some 1982 pennies that are copper coated zinc. They have a much smaller date than the copper pennies.

  • if its real its big bucks dude like 85000

  • IF IT STICKS TO A MAGNET IT IS A FAKE. I'VE RESEARCHEDALREADY.

  • @ednava13 no cause in 1943 WWII made a copper shortage due to it aso they made STEEL! pennys which are magnetic

  • @ednava13 nooo if your talking about a steel 1943 penny then the real version should stick to a magnet

  • i have one in my hand now i am trying to reserch about it

  • Steel pennies are not that valuable. I have 13 of them, including 1 that i found at work.

  • i have one too, do you know how much they're worth?

  • thats most likely a counterfeit, who roughly staples a 85,000$ coin in paper and smashes it into a magnet, thats easily fakes, and most likely is.

  • @carman24007 its not counterfeit

  • @fuckbook1 and what evidence do you have of that, mr. fuckbook1? your name really shows interest in this topic.

  • @carman24007 $85,000?? What phony coin guide are you reading? If that's the case, I'd be living in a nice house right now because I have several of these coins.

  • @prairiedogeric10 Liar! 1943 copper pennies are rare...do you really have one???

  • @susp1 the guy who I replied to said the the steel penny was worth $85,000

  • @carman24007 A 1943 COPPER penny is worth $85,000. In 1943, they were made of steel and steel sticks to magnets.

  • @carman24007 that penny in this vid is a 1943 steel penny which are not valuable

The 1943 copper penny is the one worth around $85,000!

  • Have You Ever Seen a 1943 Silver Penny?

ANSR: HAVe you ever seen a penny soaked in bleach for a really long time......BUT its real.l......so that means i fails

  • bad imagine video sux

  • The 1943 silver colored penny is a wartime issue made of steel, and coated with zinc. During WW II, copper was so badly needed for the war effort that the U.S. penny was made out of steel that year, which is why most 1943 pennies are silver colored. They are worth about 12 to 15 cents each in ciruclated condition, and as much as 50 cents or more if uncirculated.

There are a few error coins known from 1943, where the penny was accidently struck in copper. These are extremely rare and valuable.

  • Its not steel its not silver its actually ZINC, Since Copper was scarce in 1943 because of the war, the government had to use some other type of metal and they used zinc, only made in 1943, a 1943 zinc penny isn't "rare", I have a 1943 zinc penny and a 1943 COPPER penny which there arent many of.

  • @TheGreatUchihaItachi

Hmm......... The 1943 penny is made of steel and coated in Zinc...

  • you my freind ar wrong, its actually steel

  • @megabrontes123 It is a steel penny coated in zinc

  • i have one to and its not fake my ex father in law had it since the 50s ....but i think its only worth about 5o cents

  • Also, this coin is one of the most counterfeited coins, take it to someone that can verify it authenticity.

  • up to $85,000

  • Complete lie. Its just a zinc covered copper penny, and you just added a sloppy cover.

  • @theblablybla The 'silver' pennies were STEEL with a zinc coating... and if it was all copper would it be magnetic? nope.

  • i have one

  • @ coins and collections

at least somebody knows their coinage...lol

  • 1943 Lincoln Penny is struck on steel. Our country was short in copper, very much needed for army. Yes, there is a story about copper planchetes left in tubes, and few copper coins were buried under steel coins.

Shortage of labor led copper cent to go into circulation.

Just how many experts know that this happened also in 1944? Except , for this time the few steel blanks were struck on steel, instead of brass/bronze metal which in turn was a recycled shells and cartridges?

  • A 1943 silver penny is worth but about .15 cents. The magnet test means nothing. If you find a 1943 copper penny which were accidentally made and do the magnet test then you have something of value!

  • those silver pennies were accidentally made during world war 2

they needed copper for the war

  • @TheSamstar3000

Those are not silver. They are steel ( Zinc coated).

No accident there. Congress approved the use of base metal.

  • @TheSamstar3000 no the copper pennies were accidentally made dumbass

  • 1 dollar

  • i have 3 Copper 1943 pennys. i got them in my change at a Tim Hortons where i live in NB Canada. there in decent shape and yes i know there worth up to $85,000 but im keeping them as a center piece in my collection. The Silver `43 penny on the other hand is only worth upwards to $10 max. rare find but really only a collectors item.

  • @RundownJet You can't possibly have 3 Copper 1943 pennies, did you did the magnet test? And it's worth more than $85,000, it's worth over $200,000.

  • @BloodTiers Yeah i did the magnet test thier real. I recently just got a job their and found a silver dollar when i did the tills! truly my luck finding coins lately is outstanding!

  • @BloodTiers one 1943 silver penny has an estimated value of $85k

  • @korfx04 not at all... the silver penny from 1943 is the common penny then... maybe the 1943copper penny but not the 'silver' one

  • they made them in 1943 and 1944 during the war bacause they didnt have enough money for copper

  • @capozijacob not 1944

  • What's so special about a 1943 steel cent? I have five of these and four of them aren't worth any more than $3.

  • It's just an old steel war penny. Big fucking deal! You act like it's something special.

  • I have one its worth $2.50 its zink

  • i own 2 1 i bought 1 i found

  • Yeah like the price on the 2x2 said it's not worth much they sell in BU for about 2-3 dollars.

  • stop fucking with the focus

  • but we had one like an aunt took it to use and do not know already sold.

  • they used stell coated zinc to keep copper for the war

  • steel coated in zinc, to conserve copper during the war.. the 40 rare ones are actually the copper ones that got accidentally minted at the beginning of the minting process. later the 40 rare became 17,000 rare bcz a man found a stash of them that were supposed to be remelted back down but got stolen by a mint worker... the price of the 40 rare ones greatly depreciated upon finding that stash and the holders of the 40 lost greatly from what i hear... '43 coppers are still quite rare though

  • i give u 10 bucks

  • guys its not silver it is zink. Zink is a metal they used that year because of the shortage of copper.

  • @MrKingKong1645 I believe he is referring to color.

  • hey

    y0o tambien teng0o uno

  • all you did was that thing wear u can turn it gold but stoped at the silver part FAKE!

  • @kgjhjh01 no u idiot they mad those during out of steel because ww2 need copper

they werent suppose to be permanent

  • it looks at least ms-60, and its autentic. Depending on the mint mark (none, D, or S) i would say at least $2.50, possibly more if it has a D or S mint mark.

  • I work in the shipping department at a coin company. We give these away to customers as novelty items. They are nothing special.

  • Sometimes they can be up to 85k...

  • i found one of these in the cash drawer at job at dq lol

  • These pennies are not silver, they are zinc coated steel. Copper pennies from 1943 were made only at the p mint.

  • copper penny could be worth about 85 grand if it still maybe less

  • i found one of these in the parking lot at my kids soccer game

  • i got a silver steel 1943 penny.

if it was copper wow its even more rare.

  • its worth about a dollar...

i buy circulated ones for 5 cents each

yours looks like its atleast au-50 so it might be worth a $1 and its zinc coated steel- they needed the copper for the war

  • Lol i found it by looking through all my 1970 nd bellow pennies. i mostly have 60's pennies and some 1950 and 2 1947 and 1 67, but i almost got lucky and found a 44 copper

  • @slimjim905 It's the 1943 penny thats rare. I have lots of 44's. -I also have a 1919!

  • @BrickerStudios haha ..i lost my 1929 penny a while back :(...

  • Fuck the only closest copper penny i have to 1943 is a 1944 s copper. FUCK I ALMOST GOT LUCKY!!

  • I have several uncirculated and shiny 1943 pennies. They are not that valuable. A 1943 copper error penny is extremely rare and worth about 10 grand.

  • It's the copper 1943's that are so valuable because the copper back then was used for making weapons in the war and only a few were made. They minted the steel ones as a replacement and nearly every penny made that year was steel.

  • dont listen to them liers it sells up to 85,000 dollars is wat most collecters have it priced at

  • no u idiot thats only the copper 1943 pennies. few were made

  • i have about like 30 of these. Most of them are badly rusted. each and evry one sticks to magnets ( i tested em ). Does that mean there bad? There all silver colored tho

  • @slimjim905 well sir it means ur a rich man one if these beauties is worth 85,000 bucks so u are looking at around $2,550,000

  • but there all silver colored. in one of em it doesnt even look like the 4 is in the 1943, prolly just scratched off or sumtin.

  • its worth about 3 - 10 dollars

  • Steel pennies, in excellent condition, can sell for up to $8 if you get the right buyer. But $3-$5 is a more realistic value.

  • Show me a 1943 copper penny. The I will truly be impressed.

  • its steel not silver

  • thats a cool silver war steal pennie u have but im a coin collecter and have all diffrent kinds of coins and my steel pennies i have about 37 so far not worth any thing but a pennie but its cool u have 1

  • lol i have like 15

  • I have 3 of them. I had 5 but my older brother sold them >:(

  • I have 5

  • 15cents, i'm sorry to say

  • Pennies were made of zinc plated steel in 1943 due to a copper shortage during WWII. If it were real silver a magnet wouldn't pick it up.

Copper 1943 pennies are known to exist but are extremely rare. There are a lot of fakes though that were made by copper plating an original steel penny.

  • its not silver its steel and its only worth about 5$

  • Ok the 1943 penny that is not magnetic is worth more than that, i have a bag of those pennies read up on it.

  • i got one, not in the greatest of condition tho...but you can still read everything tho

  • i have 2 of them and they stick on the magnet they are from 1943 and have the S can you tell me how much they worth thx

  • worth $85,000

    rich

  • i have 2 of them 1943 with the S on the and they stick on the magnet can any one know how much they worth

  • lololololol dude there only around 100 1943 penny's in the WORLD

  • It is not silver....it is steel....do the magnet test....if it sticks to the magnet it is made from steel...if it does not it is silver

  • i got 3 of them =)

  • 99% of them are counterfeits. Retard.

  • i kno...1 of them isnt magnetic

  • if you knew anything about the 1943 penny, you would know that this is real.

  • Dumbass, I was replying to nbullis1, not the coin in the vid. You really have no life.

  • Actaully no. They made a lot of them during '43. It would be worth your time if you were to fake more rare coins, like the 1914-D or 1931-S penny.

  • i got 4 :P my like grampa or great gave it to me xD

  • these ones that are made of steel aren't worth as much as the copper ones. it was intended for all the pennies from that year to be made out steel, but some copper ones got through. they are very rare and can be worth anywhere from $20,000-95,000 depending on the condition.

  • i have 1926 coin but im hot sure its silver

  • llol nvm they are like 3000

  • lmao right one is worth over $80`000

  • cool, my 5th grade teacher told me that pennies were made this way in 1943 because it was during the war and copper was being used to make guns and supplies. I'm pretty sure, someone correct me if I'm not.

  • i found a 1946 penny!! what is it worth?

  • You idiot. It's a STEEL CENT. No silver. And America has never made a "penny".

God. People are so clueless when it comes to coins and currency.

Half dollars, dollar coins, and $2 bills are NOT RARE, either.

  • they never made a penny? where have you been for the past 4 centuries?

  • Cent.

    Penny is an English term.

    That's all.

  • you bought that for 2.00 its a counterfeit check with Magent if it sticks its counterfeit if it doesnt go to a coin inspector and if its real u may have a chance

  • omfg that penny is worth AT LEAST 80 grand

  • WOW! You're cool, coming to youtube, and getting people's hopes up...

Only thing from 1943 worth that much would be a 1943 COPPER penny.
