The previous generation 4-runner had full-time 4WD on all 4WD models that is more useful on mixed pavement. The previous model was significantly quicker, with the avialable 4.7 litter V-8, doing 0-60 in 6.86 seconds. It had a higher towing capacity rated at 7,000 lbs. The previous model had a better looking exterior. It weighed less & had smaller, easier to maneuver dimensions. However, the new trail model with locking rear diff & KDSS is much better off-road. The new interior is better.

Hey steve the bluetooth audio is standard on all 4runner trails just like 4x4 and moonroof. You don't need nav to get it. sorry just in the market and I agree is a big deal, and I looked it up

Oh this thing is super sweet :) and the 4.0 engine has really gained some HP. They were 236 at first production. I like it!!

I will wait for the 2011 model to see if they put Multi terrain on the Limited. I hate the way the trail looks. That or I will be getting the new Grand Cherokee

@ToyotaAvalon2011 GM didn't build pedals for Toyota,Toyota built the Pontiac Vibe for GM at a plant in California where they also built the Toyota Matrix. Both recalled.

Pontiac Vibe only GM vehicle involed in recall.

This truck is over 6' 2". I've always wanted a big vehicle since I myself am about 6' tall so I don't have to be twisted into a spaghetti trying to get in or out of the door. Toyota has done a good job in maintaining production of a large SUV when so many others such as GM and Ford have switched to effeminate smaller crossovers. The next gen Explorer is a truck no more.... another crossover argh.

@4runninmk3 you ever notice how the pedals always got stuck on the vehicles that were driven by 55+ year old drivers?..... not that older people cant drive but a huge majority of them arent all that good, trust me I live in Mesa AZ. Im surrounded by the elderly and they dont pay attention.

1. Toyota didn't speak favorably of the Democrats.

2. Toyota complied with all the "testing" that the government wanted to do with the sticky pedals. After extensive testing, a report that showed that found NOTHING wrong with Toyota pedals was blocked from being released by the department of transportation head... an Obama APPOINTEE.

they say toyota has hidden these issues for years....yet they are reviewed and voted as the most reliable company.....maybe its all media fabrication?....i dont know anyone who had an issue with toyota petal...except in the media....
