if you notice 2:57 to 3:02 they actually change the focus of the lenses showing they re just dust particles in space appearing big cause of focused lens... you can see stuff like this when dusting a pillow in sunlight!! but i don't get how the one appearing @4:22 moves around the tether :O i mean its space.. no wind or gravity.. isn't that supposed to go straight like other dust particles??? :|
Lens artifacts and out of focus particles (likely dust or ice) in low earth orbit (i.e. gravity) which explains the trajectory in some. Those who claim these are miles in diameter, I assume you also believe the tether is at least a 1/2 mile wide, right? Sorry, it's thin as a match stick (2-3 mm). I think people are falling back on the ice/dust explanation because that is what it typically is. The reason why the particles appear after the tether breaks is because the particles are part of the tether that broke, simple as that.
the static look to all nasa videos are because they put this kinda like lense effect over the camera called snow globe or suming there is a video on utube were a nasa video shows this effect goes of for a couple of seconds then u can see space and the earth really clear then they switch to a camera on board the iss then switch back and the effect is back on again mmh
@allclassics gravity and friction are two different things. friction has nothing to do with gravity. now the tether snapped due to overload it caused the material to deteriorate and snapped due to high tension of the tether line. now you don't need gravity to create tension, also gravity and kinetic energy have nothing to do with each other. if that was tha case then the shuttle wouldn't be able to move even if it used it's vernier thrusters and propulsion systems.

The reason for the grainy video is because the cameras used are capable of looking into the ultra violet spectrum. This is the reason why the "dust particles" are even visible at all. The cameras really are high tech.
Dust particles will have a uniform appearance when they are out of focus (an inherent optical property of cameras). There's nothing new or unexpected about that. If you'll watch the footage Sereda didn't want you to see, you'll see how the particles only become disc-like and similar when the focus/zoom is adjusted. When in focus, they appear much smaller and many appear to tumble as particles do in space (seen as pulsation when out of focus).

One of the big things flying about is about 2/3 miles in diameter compared to the 12 mile lengh of tether.so there different sizes flying at different speeds and flying at different angles and some hardly moving at all......but what are they and have they been seen since???

Amazing footage, only thing i dont understand is this: At the end of the first part you see the tether that Apparently snaps from its holdings, the next thing you see is the tether curling and forming a very dense package. The second footage shows a tether perfectly stretched showing no signs at al it has ever bin curled up. I don't see any debris until they zoom in on the tether, as shown in this clip. When they zoom in on the tether, they have already lapped it once around the Earth, and are filming it while passing it with a low light camera which was originally on the mission to attempt to view electron beams.

I will say that if you follow some of the spots after they appear, they change directions and speed. That would be impossible to do if not being controlled or influenced since there is no air resistance in space.

The tether itself is 12 miles long. using it as a reference, scientists estimate the pulsating objects are between 2 1/2 to 3 miles across, and that's a conservative estimate. they stated they could be much larger. that's kinda big for living "space plasma" or "jellyfish"

the blur makes them ROUND, not mostly round, but with a bite taken out of it.

@allclassics gravity and friction are two different things. friction has nothing to do with gravity. now the tether snapped due to overload it caused the material to deteriorate and snapped due to high tension of the tether line. now you don't need gravity to create tension, also gravity and kinetic energy have nothing to do with each other. if that was tha case then the shuttle wouldn't be able to move even if it used it's vernier thrusters and propulsion systems.

@easahanhan Dust particles that have a uniform shape? i.e. Circular with a central hole and a small square cutout on the edge of each one? Hmmmm. If you watch the full video analysis by David Sereda, those "dust particles" are estimated to be between 2 and 3 miles in diameter!
The reason for the grainy video is because the cameras used are capable of looking into the ultra violet spectrum. This is the reason why the "dust particles" are even visible at all. The cameras really are high tech.

Dust particles will have a uniform appearance when they are out of focus (an inherent optical property of cameras). There's nothing new or unexpected about that. If you'll watch the footage Sereda didn't want you to see, you'll see how the particles only become disc-like and similar when the focus/zoom is adjusted. When in focus, they appear much smaller and many appear to tumble as particles do in space (seen as pulsation when out of focus).
The camera was not UV.

Amazing footage, only thing i dont understand is this: At the end of the first part you see the tether that Apparently snaps from its holdings, the next thing you see is the tether curling and forming a very dense package. The second footage shows a tether perfectly stretched showing no signs at al it has ever bin curled up. This is very hard to imagine, if something is totally curled up in space it unfold out of noting in to a very unnatural shape. Am i making any sense here?

@geovs20 People's self delusion amazes me because I'm willing to bet that the majority of the world does not believe in the existence of aliens. It's almost laughable, at least it would be if their mass delusion didn't hamper our forward thinking so immensely. That being said I don't think any of that debris are alien spacecrafts. Not a single on of them makes even the smallest of hesitation or change on direction so unless those are all aliens just orbiting us it has to be something else.

@BankaiIchigo12345 It's not a hoax. Its NASA's footage. These guys call the things out of focus "debris." I have a dvd of the flight and the release of the satellite attached to this tether. I don't see any debris until they zoom in on the tether, as shown in this clip. When they zoom in on the tether, they have already lapped it once around the Earth, and are filming it while passing it with a low light camera which was originally on the mission to attempt to view electron beams.

I will say that if you follow some of the spots after they appear, they change directions and speed. That would be impossible to do if not being controlled or influenced since there is no air resistance in space.

The tether itself is 12 miles long. using it as a reference, scientists estimate the pulsating objects are between 2 1/2 to 3 miles across, and that's a conservative estimate. they stated they could be much larger. that's kinda big for living "space plasma" or "jellyfish"

@jeff19721000 They are not disc shaped objects.. they are globe shaped. We are looking at a primitive lifeform expressing itself in a form of living plasma. Exactly how they manifest on video is itself a major study. you can throw most of the Newtonian laws out the window. The "hole" in the center is probablly where the most energy is. We are not looking at the whole organism here..just what manifests on video. The magnetosphere, solar wind, cosmic rays camera structure could cause notching.
