  • As always, our Japanese brothers showing us the way. Quality software and quality performers. Very easy for the ingnorami to dismiss. Max and Jitter all the way.

  • Dabrye - payback

  • He's not using his wrist strap.... :(

  • meh, i dont see whats so great about it, its not exactly awe inspiring

  • is it layered over another song? if so whats the track? or is it all manipulated sounds?

  • 0:51 to 0:58 is fucking amazing!

  • The atmosphere in that place was trippy.

I swear the Japanese are from the future or something.

  • @goatcheese2 shut up

  • amazing work. loved and been inspired by your computer music for a long time

  • Take a look there: VJTUBEdotNET

    Free visual artists sharing community

  • If you don't understand instinctively it's hard to explain. Manipulating sound (and I guess also video) with motion together with a DJ to make interesting soundscapes is all the reason you'd need.

In fact, why would you NOT want to do this?

  • Besides, that shit is fucking beautiful. It's like, philosophy vs. conventional non-fiction, but for music.

  • fuck yeah!!!!!

  • I WANT TO BE YOUR FRIEND

  • You can use Wii remotes to do that? WTF???

  • haha wii thats rad

  • 谢谢分享这daito

  • this is not a club... if its a club this guy would been out the door in 5 seconds lol

  • yeah, i think this is a demo or something, anyone out there, wat's a VJ?

  • video jockey methinks

  • track ids? =D

  • genius

  • This guy is a Genius ^^

He is using the WII remote, and its position capacitys as a control for the music, if the controler is moved or if buttons are touched, its sends a signal to the computer to adjust/modifie music by changing BASS/Jitter etc... Pretty cool... Taking DJ'ing to a whole new level ^^ This guy has the most interesting ideas ! :)

  • Saw some guys from SF do this when the wii was released (2years ago now right?)

Wii-mote controls are mapped as a standard feature in TCV-software bu img-line now aswell..

  • look when the video was posted... 2 years ago..

  • @123Sanin123

imagine if Beardyman took his unique look on Beatboxing, and combine it with this guy's idea of DJing, that would be AWESOME!

  • thats experimental. isnt what you'd qualify to compare with real djing.

but that's good. taking things to new heights in different ways. juz needs polishing and time! keep it up

  • I agree.

  • Brilliant. thank you

  • eh tecno!? that rely suck balls man but the rest pretty cool :)

  • i'm mexican and i like that music. i know asians that hate electronic music. it isn't about race. i know you're being cute and ignorant, but what you're saying simply isn't correct.

  • that is dam shit

  • prefuse yes.

  • This music reminds me of Prefuse 73

  • you just dont like it. you know, its not horrible just because you dislike it. i dont like the music either. still its all a matter of taste is it not? you never know who you offend saying something is "bad" because you dont like it without any argument...

  • Very cool!

Interested to know what the software tools used were. NDS Visuals on the DS perhaps?

  • i like the music!

    ta buena

  • jup

  • what app is bein used on ds to vj? Oo

  • so what!?

  • ok. I want to marry thins guy!!!!!!!!!

  • That is phat.

  • wiimotes can do anything

  • boring music

  • no, nice music :)

  • the music sounds like garbage to me but i respect the work they put into this and i know its a very exciting development

  • I agree, seems like anyone these days can become a "dj". I remember when....... blah...... blah..... blah..... Maybe I'm gettin old! heheh respect guys :)

  • i wanna try it with a PS2/3 controller. Ps3 ones are motion sensitive, arent they? either way, it would be a fair deal of fun.

  • pretty cool =D

  • He should be more careful. He hasn't even got the strap on his WiiMote around his wrist! What a madman!

    Seriously, awesome.

  • fantastic

  • Nice max patch. I'm still a beginner at the moment and haven't worked out how to connect input devices like wii controls.

People who criticise this have no idea about how much work goes into developing something like this. They have no idea about the direction music is going.

  • I find this pretty brilliant. You people need to broaden your horizons.

  • pointless in that context!

  • good early attempts at getting melding music with consoles. minority report anyone?

  • less is more

  • how does he do that>

  • what's the name of that second song where there's a dude singing?

  • LMAO @ wiidiculous

    ROFL

  • WISE UP! STOP BEING A MORON!

  • I noticed the pinky in front of you...cool

  • I would like to see a little more specific interaction. Les random waving but I am a huge fan of Manabe. Been watching his work for a while now from here in NYC. Doing some very similiar stuff myself. Props Daito!!

Keep it up. Tell Shitoshi I said hello from TN!! LOL

  • sugoi sugoi indeed

  • thats wiidiculous!!

  • what program is that on the DS I wanna have it too :P

  • Wii FTW

  • if perfected it could be really cool

  • thats fucken sweet, i want one

  • Glitch is so trippy.

  • Well, they are doing some IDM style thing.

That's why it sounds so weird.

  • That's a little much with the distortion. After a little while it just gets annoying as hell..Still cool setup.

  • how is he using it with music it looks like he is just waveing it around

  • Put the wriststrap on, man! You wouldn't want to power that Wiimote righht through that flimsy Mac screen.

  • Umm... I don't see what's so GREAT about this? I'd rather scratching or something which I'm sure will be done with Virtual DJ soon enough...

  • You call this music? Or is it just one long big japanese word or something :?

  • Don't be a tool, people put their lives into doing their music the way they want to, if you don't like it don't be so inconsiderate and just shut up.

  • Is tht Japan ?

  • Yes, definitely.

  • Wow, I'm in awe. I would LOVE to know how you have this set up. I'm into VJing and you are now officially my new hero.

  • Dude whats your name and where can I get some of your music also.

  • Yo, thats incredible and he kicks ass with it. Wii has found it's place in pop culture.

  • music sounds really good, is this some kind of granular/buffer read you're doing with the remote?

  • that fkin rocks.
