  • Khom! Khom! Khom! Khom!

  • FAMILY GUY STOLE EVERYTHING FROM ADAM WEST TO THE KOOL-AID MAN

  • @Triggernappy well, that's post modernism for you

  • Watching this makes me dread getting a job in New York one day in America.

  • heh, phil hartman does like 3 or 4 characters in this episode

  • @jackjolli Haha you can so tell. Also Maurice Lamarche at 3:15

  • Seen this a hundred times, and of course the "Later work of Orson Welles" is still the funniest part. But upon this review, I loved Margot's expression (2:57). Perfectly captures the horror, confusion, and anxiety of Jay's student film.

  • "Full of country goodness and green peaness" lmao!

  • Mmm.. Prof. Spank'em.. Lol!

  • the ORIGINAL family guy.

    praise the critict.

  • ' and whats with airline peanuts? YOU NEED A WRENCH TO OPEN THE BAG! oy."

  • @keithcorbiere I didn't mean it was HIM. It was HIS voiced potrayed by Maurice. I know that. I'm familiar with his work.

  • BRAINS VOICE !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @V10H4Z4RD No, Orson Welles' voice. :/

  • @TheLizzardOh

well sumone sounds like brain from pinky and the brain, B-)

  • @V10H4Z4RD No, that's Orson Welles' voice. The fat guy advertising wine.

  • @V10H4Z4RD In fact, I think this came out before that show.

  • @TheLizzardOh

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhm , well sounds like him

  • "Wait, its not on FOX, right?" haha, u ended up on FOX anyway mr. sherman

  • [adult swim] should pick this up.

  • @3lgar1 wish i could give u a million thumbs up!!

  • @3lgar1 they would have but syndication can only be sold for reruns if the show reached 100 episodes. Unfortunately the critic only managed to reach 23, with in 2 seasons.

  • @TheKnives777 Then why did they show Clerks with their 6 episodes? ABC used it first.

  • @3lgar1 once a network picks up a show, it usually is guaranteed to run on most or all the network's affiliates since Sony, Viacom & Disney own everything, you'll see the shows on different networks owned by such corporations. Only 2 episodes of Clerk's were shown on ABC and it was seen as a total failure both in ratings and demographics So ABC quick sold the show to Viacom to make up for their loss. Sony PT still owns the rights to the Critic and leased the show to Viacom who owns CC.

  • @TheKnives777 so for the critic to be shown on Adult Swim Time Warner would only be allowed to rent the episodes.100 episodes in syndication Is where the money is, stations loyal to the company generally have first choice on any program it offers. For other shows syndicated by other companies, syndication rights may be auctioned off to the highest bidder in a particular market. In other words. No 100 episodes, No one wants it. they feel the ratings will stagnate the all ready appointed line up

  • @TheKnives777 Can I hire you as my manager? (I do stand-up and guitar playing)

  • @3lgar1 Nah, they suck [balls] now. They don't deserve anything but Bleach re-runs and whatever else.

  • His movie is one of the most hilarious thing in tv history

  • @pixelben yes, it is

  • Is that Maurice LaMarche playing Orson Wells? Because it sounds like him.

  • i love john lovitz, but i really love that he smacked the hell out of andy dick.

hartman forever!!! lovitz forever as well!!!

    "PromEtheus!"

  • "I'll take it, wait, it's not on Fox is it?" "No" "I'll take it!" LOL

  • 2:36 -"OH YEAH!"

    "Rosebud

Yes, Rosebud Frozen Peas. Full of country goodness and green peaness. Wait, that's terrible. I Quit! Just a handful for the road...

  • lmao i remeber this when it was on tv. i forget when but i might have been 10 or 12 then?

love the show, too bad they stop producing

  • Pea-ness

  • The student film is the single funniest thing I've ever seen in my life. I can barely type this on my keyboard I'm laughing so hard

  • "Rosebud Frozen Peas, full of country goodness and green pea-ness" XD

  • What was the song that plays at 2:20? I'm trying to figure it out but I can't place my finger on it...

  • That was genius using those same foreign-sounding murmurs over and over!

  • Rosebud.... Green Pingas

  • That's "Green Pea-Ness"

  • From the Great Country and green PINGAS!! Is terrible I quit.... Oh what a luck!! There's a french fry stuck in my beard NOM NOM NOM

  • its Pea-Ness not Pingas

  • The woman from India in Jay's class is Hot.

  • O, what luck! There's a french fry stuck in my beard!

  • My life is a "living hell"

The only thing that gets me through the day is "lithium".

  • Prof. Blowhard is Troy Mclure and Adolph Hitmaker.

  • The voice of Orson Welles is done by the same voice actor who did "Brain" on Pinky and the Brain.

  • and Father in KND ;P

  • The Orson Welles character is hilarious! His voice is great lol

  • Ha HA! the guy in the beginning is referencing "pat"...hahahaha! Classic!

  • 2:25 Where have I seen this before?

  • The only thing that gets me through the day is Lithium....LITHIUM!!!

  • PEANESS!!!

  • The Battleship Potemkin At 2:18

  • The end of his student film sounds like the end of A Day in the Life.

  • 2:55 what the hell was that

  • lol@ 2:23!

  • isnt his agent Phil Hartman to

  • It sounds like Phil Hartman played almost all the secondary roles in this episode.

  • yo, that Koolaid man part was something serious.

  • LOL HE SAID GREEN PENIS AT THE END!!!

  • Actually he meant Green Pea-ness, but yeah.

  • PEANESS!!!

  • wth...green peaness....french fry stuck in his beard...weird...I'm still laughing at this show, so I guess I like it.

  • "Rosebud. Yes Rosebud Frozen Peas. Full of country goodness and green penis.

wait that's terrible, I quit, just a handful for the road, oh what luck, there's a french fry stuck in my beard

  • my bro n i love that part

  • XDDDD!!!!!

  • lmfao love Orson Welles!

    so amazing!

  • I love that Orson Welles guy too!!!!

  • it stinks

  • that film stinks

  • Now I'm starting to see why this show is semi-popular here on YT. It really is the Family Guy before Family Guy. "Be an independant thinknker." That was clever.

  • full of green peaness hahaha

  • What song plays during Jay's film?

  • I think its funny how cartoons portray Vincent Price as an evil crazed sounding man...lol

  • First of all, he was. Second, that wasn't Vincent Price. It was Orson Welles.

  • oh ok, thanks for the info, i could have sworn it wat him, he has that same weird sounding voice...lol

  • Is it just me, or does it sound like whoever voiced Orson Welles also voice the Brain (as in Pinky and the Brain)?

  • Ya, I think his name is Phil Lamarr or something

  • Because it is the guy who did the voice for Pinky and the Brain. His name was Maurice LaMarche, and he acted as the voice for Orson Welles.

  • from pinkey and the brain

  • Wait a minute, it's not on Fox is it?

    XD

  • Wat movie was in 2:20?

  • The Battleship Potemkin (1925)

  • Its the Seventh Seal, at the end when they're all dead, death is walking away with them and they're all holding hands.

  • *Class in unison* "Be an independent thinker." xD Nice

  • o what Luck, Theres a french fry stuck in my beard....lmmfao ROTFL XD XD XD!!!!!!!!!

  • "My darling, I've always loved--Oh no. Promutheus."

    "Prometheus."

  • I mean you need a WRENCH TO OPEN THE BAAAG, oy...

    GREEN PEANESS.

  • The group of people running on the hill before the cow with the banjo... what is that from?

  • The Seventh Seal.

  • Thanks! I just couldn't think of the title.

  • 2:37

LOL, the Kool-Aid Man busting out of the wall that everyone says is their favorite joke on Family Guy. Jay Sherman did it first!

  • "Indeed I do! Class, this is Stubby Kaye." So awesome

  • "My life-- is a-- living-- Hell--."

  • that was the voice of brain from aniamaniacs. awesome

  • thank you, i've been trying to place that voice! :)

  • Maurice LaMarche. He based the Brain on Orson Welles.

  • On the Simpsons, 2:23 appeared as one of Homer's thoughts.

  • Kind of looks like Disney's Clarabelle Cow.

  • "Professor BlowHeart, remember me?"

"Indeed I do! Class, this is Stubby Kaye."

"No! I'm Jay Sherman. I came here for guidance"

"Jay, you weren't meant to create. You were meant to tear apart!"

    "I was?"

"You were born to nitpick what others put their hearts and souls into."

    "I shall! I shall!"

    "Be a truth teller!"

    "I will, you pompous windbag!"

    I love this part!

  • 4:12

does he say peaness, or penis? lol

  • It's funny because the real Orsan Wells did such a commercial and quit.

  • peaness, but that's the joke.

  • That part reminded me of an Iron Chef America episode. The ingredient was peas. One of the judges commented, "I like the overall pea-ness of this dish."

  • Oh no. Promotheus.

  • Prometheus!

  • Oh, no. Promotheus.

  • "Oh, what luck. There's a french fry stuck in my beard!" XD

  • it doesnt stink it sucks

  • 3:20! It's the Brain!

  • remember he did a voice on the Simpsons tree house of horror " the earth stood stupid"

  • Do you mean The Day the Earth Looked Stupid?

  • stood stupid is a futurama episode

  • No wonder I couldn't find it.

  • god i miss phill hartrman

  • Maurice LaMarche for the win.

  • My life is a...LIVING HELL.

  • 3:14......The Brain!!!! cool!

  • Theres A French Fry Stuck In My Beard

  • At 2:18 classic reference to BATTLESHIP POTEMKIN!

  • There's a lot of classic references. The Seventh Seal is right after Potempkin. And of corse there's Singin in the Rain and King Kong, that guy who can make weird faces from Ripley's Believe it or Not, and the the Michael Jackson dancer guy from Venice Beach and of course the Kool Aid man, and that first footage of a nuke.

  • The explosion might be a reference to 'The Butcher Boy' by Neil Jordan? Jordan superimposes the nuke footage in the Irish countryside as a statement against Ireland being shown as endless green countryside. I'm not American, but is that red jug an American character?

  • Yeah, he's the mascot of a juice company called "Kool-Aid" :)

  • what is the guy in the raincoat falling down on the tricycle? the simpsons have used him before to.

  • It's a character from "Laugh-In" - I think played by Arte Johnson - who rode around on a tricycle in a raincoat & fell over.

  • Yeah, that's the Kool-Aid Man who did a series of commercials where he would burst through brick walls to deliver Kool-Aid to thirsty kids. It is just a mindless piece of American pop culture just inserted into there.

  • how about you quit yer bawling slashamster28

  • I will make this jug disapear LOL!

  • whats the name of brains voice actor?

  • Maurice LaMarche

  • OMG i LOVE him! He also does Kif on Futurama- and other voices.

  • 4:07 is that the Brain from Pinky and the Brain?

  • oh ya him he also did the voice of egon spangler and did the guest spot on the simpsons halloween special.

  • really liked this because it had real people unlike both the simpsons and family guy

  • LOL, that is kinda weird=/ but Chuckie/Marty's voice was actually a woman.:-D

  • Okay, someone minused my comment. What so bad about saying his son is played by the guy who played a kid in Rugrats?

  • of all the videos i see you on. hey mate :D

  • "Oh what luck. There's a french fry stuck in my beard!"

    -&-

"And now for a little magic. I will make this bottle dissapear."

    GLUGLUGLUG.

    :D

  • Green Peaness

  • That's terrible, i quit.

  • (begins to sing)

Arthur: I've got a liver the size of coconuts...

    lol I was in tears!

  • I think Maurice LeMarche has been playing Orson Wells for most of his career.. "and now for a bit of magic, I will make this jug disappear!"

  • Jays son sounds like the kid from Rugrats.

    (-:

  • Tommy Pickles?

  • False alarm. It's the same woman who did Chuckie. It's Christine Cavanaugh. Man, that was confusing.

  • I played prof. spankem

  • NO you didnt, I did!!

  • Jay's movie has got be the best thing this doesn't make sense.(Anyone know what's up on 2:29-2:31)

Also I notice that jay's sis Margaot had her head changed in season 2.

  • what movie was that at 2:20

  • the seventh seal by Igmar bergman

  • how was it?

  • You should watch it.

  • its not one of thouse horrer movie that are not scary but just grose?

  • It's not a horror film. It's a surreal extistential drama.

  • I think they should show this on Adult Swim!

  • win bag kicks ass motherfuckers ha ha .

  • The voice of the guy eating the Pees is the same from Pinky and the Brain right...?...As Brain..

  • yes correct! he has many cartoon voices.
