I am not very computer literate and this is a bit new to me.

If I have a hard drive fail or buy a new one, which means I won't be able to restore with my recovery disc, how can I recover all of it?

I have tried messing around on VirtualBox with methods I got from other videos and nothing works.

I know my recovery disc will give me a page with system recovery options like system restore, complete pc restore, etc... What do I need or what image will work there?

No, it will just delete the current edited or damaged files and replace the drive's(C:) default files etc. Therefore making a fresh new copy of Vista.

they do it because they dont want to provide free product advertising. See if they cover the logo and identifying trademarks of products then the advertisers will pay them to promote there product. A good example is when britney spears was paid by Pepsi to not be seen drinking any soda other than pepsi brand. So she had to put duct tape around the can if it wasn't pepsi brand.

How to do these are plenty damn self explanatory in the instructions given to you, or by calling your tech support agent and asking them these basic questions. The point was not how to do it, it was the lack of indepth description that was otherwise needed.
