omg i just met this guy in NYC last night! he is from France, but he is the same height as peter, has just about the same face (especially the mouth and smile omg! but the eyes are not as droopy but wide enuff) and his voice...when I heard it I almost fell on my ass!!! he left a message on my voicemail today and omg it was lorre 1000%! am i a lucky chick or what!? im so excited!!!!!! i never thought another guy like that being born was possible...expecially coming into my life!

I saw The Raven the day before yesterday (and again today b/c I liked it so much) It was the first time I saw Peter Lorre perform and I really loved it. I've already looked up some bits and pieces of the movie "M" where he also seems to give an impressive performance so I can't wait to see that one

This is WONDERFUL!!! Peter Lorre was such a great and interesting actor, and I wish more people knew about his work. His movie work was great, but his radio work is also excellent. Thanks for posting....and I like the music, too. I'm actually watching "M" tonight for only the second time in my life, and stunned at how amazing Peter is in the film.

I first saw him in 20,000 Leagues and always loved him after that. I was astounded when I later saw M, and then Thank You, Mr. Moto. He had tremendous range, and talk about effortless scene stealing... I interviewed director Richard Fleischer & Kirk Douglas about 20,000 Leagues for a magazine article, and both said they loved him, and stayed friends with him after the film. Both said Lorre was a pleasure, the nicest guy to work with, and had a wonderful sense of humor.

Hi You picked some real drama. Peter Lorre was always a favorite. I remember him in many movies. The one that always comes to mind first is "The Cask of Amontillado" with Vincent Price and Peter Lorre. The music is great in this video.

=0 Outstanding! I'm Shocked! First of all I am in love with the song "Embarked on a life of Poverty" second I am astounded from all the rare photos you have presented here! You have some real gems! And the footage was dazzling. Last I read your footnotes and it is amazing how many austro-hungarian artists had to flee from Germany at that time, I didn't know Fritz Lang was half-jewish too.
